Site in a beautiful tranquil spot. Pub Old Hall Inn about a 20 minute walk down the lane. Grassington a must see, short bus ride away, but check timetables, rural service. We have a 7m MOHO, initial concerns on the approach as its narrow, (arrival and depart times well managed so takes the angst away). EHU on card, clear instructions and guide to Kwh purchased very useful. Site run by the same friendly family for 50 years, Hayley First Aid trained and First Aid Trainer. Very clean facilities. Showers on push button. Dogs on leads on site, BUT an enclosed woodland walk attached to site, so dogs can run free. The Coffee Nook opens soon (Mar 2024)serving Danish Pastries and coffee, we were lucky enough to be there on the trial morning, Danish was delish and cappuccino spot on. PIzzas at the Pizza Nook on site, start Easter Weekend. Owners go above and beyond💛 BIG TY. Highly reccommended.
Lovely small site in a very peaceful location. The campsite owner was very helpful and welcoming. Facilities spotless. Wi
We do not think the site was really ready to be opened. The manager could not deal with all the electric hook up problems…you could not use more than one appliance at a time in your van eg: if you had the lights on, you could not run the kettle! The electric was continually tripping. The toilets and showers were clean, but unfortunately the showers only ran cold, which wasn’t ideal on very cold and damp March mornings.Hopefully in the future they will iron out these problems, but unfortunately we will definitely NOT be returning any time soon.
Thanks for your review. To correct you about the electric hook up; We clearly state on our website, our paper brochure, and our booking confirmations to you that our electric hook up supply is rated at a MAXIMUM supply of 10 amps. It is also stated on your metered electric hook up instruction sheet which you are given on your arrival. We can't do any more! When you came down to complain about the electric tripping you stated to me that you had put on your kettle, heating, and microwave at the same time. Assuming your kettle is a standard household kettle at approx 2100 watts that alone requires approaching 9 amps. Your heating will be similar, and your microwave will, require at least another 5 amps. So you were trying to get well over 20 amps out of a 10 amp supply - it was never likely not to trip. Additionally, for your info, if your kettle was a modern 'rapid boil' variety at 3000 watts the kettle on its own then requires over 12 amps. There was a fault with the showers which we apologised for and put right.
Warm, welcoming and clean.
This is the second time my wife and I have stayed here. Visiting the Grassington Christmas Market. Fantastic. We visited Harrogate only 40 minutes away. Mike the site manager is excellent. Thanks again. See you soon. Hopefully better weather next time.
A great location and friendly people. The site is good value or money, clean, and importantly warm at this time of year! We visited in December.
What a magical place. I've never visited the Dales before and I'm already excited to come again.
A well run friendly site in a lovely area. The nearby shop and petrol garage is brilliant especially the butchers and the pub does good food
We stayed at wood nook near grassington. Its a well kept site, spotless toilets and showers. The owner was very polite and helpful. Very dark at night time, be advised to take a torch when you need to go to the loo. About 25 mins to nearest pub and 45 mins walk to grassington. All in all a nice stay and would go back again in summer, some lovely views.
A brilliant little campsite with great amenities. Perfectly located to explore this area of the dales. The owner is both very welcoming and knowledgeable. Nothing too much trouble. Quite honestly the best campsite we have ever stayed at.
