There is a warm Dales welcome waiting for you at Studfold caravan, camping and glamping park. Whether you’re a family with children, couple, or sole adventurer, you’ll love the Nidderdale Experience. There’s so much to enjoy, and wonderful surroundings to relax in.
We have 38 extra large, flat, well-drained grass pitches for tents, caravans, camper vans and motorhomes, 26 with electric hook-up. And we have four locally made, exciting glamping pods, situated at the edge of the field, each able to sleep a family of four (two adults and two children), or a maximum of three adults. The pitches and glamping pods are organised for maximum space and comfort for all, and are very near to the large, level play area for children, perfect for ball games and running around. There is also access to the beck trickling alongside the campsite where children love to play and build dams. Fun for the little ones too, but they will need an adult with them.
Our outstanding facilities include electric hook ups, sparkling-clean toilet and shower block, as well as undercover cooking and socialising shelter (invaluable in wet weather), fire pits and WIFI vouchers. We also have the wonderful Nidderdale Way Cafe run by Julia, where you can enjoy an easy, delicious breakfast, as well as homemade snacks and treats throughout the day (weekends and local school holidays only).
What sets Studfold apart from other sites is that there is so much to do, on and off the site. Our famous Adventure Trail, renowned for its fairies and celebration of all things nature is part of Studfold, and is a fantastic family attraction, right on your caravan, tent or pod doorstep! If you book the Trail online as part of your stay you will get 2 days of entry for the price of 1 (dependent on the Trail being open).
The Lost Earth Adventures activities are also readily available. And there are many beautiful walks, of all ability levels, starting from Studfold. You’ll find an amazing Yorkshire Dales base at Studfold for exploring Nidderdale and North Yorkshire.
The pods have lighting, electric points and are fully insulated. Suitable for up to 2 adults and 2 children.
The increasingly popular, warm, dry and deceptively large camping pods have arrived at Studfold. Situated in the Caravan and Camping Park the Studfold Pods promise to offer a whole new experience.
The pod has lighting and is fully insulated. Inside there are two bed bases that can be used as singles or fastened together to for a double, with plenty of carpeted floor space for a further two mattresses (please note that you will need to supply your own inflatable mattresses and bedding). A kettle is provided along with a small table and two electric sockets. Outside there is plenty of room for parking, a picnic bench, a fire pit and breath-taking views. When staying in one of our Pods you have complete access to our camping facilities which include -Washing machine, Freezer for Iceblocks, Wifi, Family room and Baby change.
Please note: There isn't any mobile phone reception or ariel TV reception on site, however, internet service can be accessed by purchasing a WiFi voucher from reception.
No pets allowed in Pods 1, 3 and 4.
Pod 2 is a dog friendly pod, without bed bases. It has the same facilities as the other pods but no bed bases. Visitors can bring 1 clean and well-behaved dog. The dog must not be left in or around the pod on its own, it must be kept on a lead and walked off the Park. This pod also has an outdoor ‘dog pod’ kennel.
Suitable for up to 2 adults and 2 children.
Guests should leave the pods as they find them.

All pitches are grass, flat and well drained. Electric hook ups are available. Dogs are also welcome but must be kept on a lead at all times.
The park consists of two acres of flat grassland with easy access and wonderful views of the surrounding countryside. All pitches are grass, flat, well drained and extra large. Electric hook ups are available but appliances should be specifically designed for caravanning or camping. The pitch fees include showers, deep sinks and hair dryers in the ladies' facilities.
There is plenty of space for touring caravans, tents and motorhomes and we are particularly keen to welcome families. Dogs are also welcome but must be kept on a lead at all times and walked off the site.

Great location and site with lots of activities for all ages. We'll definitely be back!
Absolutly loved this campsite. Felt like what a campsite should be, open, relaxed, clean and comfortable. Facilities were great and very clean. Loads of space for the kids to play, camp spaces were large so you wernt camped right next to someone else. Everyone camping were so friendly. You can walk to the gorge and go on the fairy trail from the farm, which was so much fun for my little lad. The only downside was the windy road in and out, when towing a caravan was a little daunting as people were driving so fast the other way and in the middle of the road so just have to take it real slow.
A warm welcome and extremely helpful hosts. The Adventure Trail and mini golf extras were brilliant value- so much thought has been put in to the Trail- it's amazing! The campsite itself is spacious and facilities were spotless. There's plenty of room each side of tent pitches so you don't feel on top of other users. My son soon made friends and ran off to play which made it a really relaxing time. The quiet time curfew after 9pm was really adhered to by other campers too which makes a change from other sites we've stayed on.
Me and my daughter had a nice couple of nights at the campsite, nice and peaceful, clean and tidy. Fairy walk was also enjoyable.
great site clean facility plenty of space
Really lovely campsite that I’ve already recommended to loads of people and we’re only just back.Small and quiet but in a good way not boring. Clean facilities. Good showers - never had to queued even though only two. Shop and cafe on site. Could hire a fire pit. Very spacious pitches. The area is gorgeous too - we were surprised how peaceful it was despite it being school holidays. Good walks and pubs close by. We will be coming back.
We had a 4 night stay which we choose to stay one extra night. The site and surroundings are beautiful with lots of places to explore. However, all the staff we came across were unwelcoming and not friendly. On several of occasions our 12 and 13 yr old boys were misgendered and were made to feel very uncomfortable simply by using the boys toilets. Our boys have long hair but otherwise it’s clear that they are boys. On our last day the owner (lady) was gossiping at the washing up area with another camper about our boys without the decency to approach us as parents about the issue/non issue. Sadly we would not return as this left us feeling very uncomfortable and dissatisfied with what she perceived to be a problem. The lady tried to decent her actions rather than apologise but we were very glad to leave. Such a shame as it ruined our holiday.
This site is located in a beautiful area with good walking nearby, and a variety of attractions to visit if you want to. Pitches are generous in size, the site is very clean and well maintained, staff are friendly and helpful. We appreciated the site rules asking for quiet in the evenings and silence after 11pm. Whilst we were there, the site had a mix of older people, couples and families all enjoying their time.
Great site Great local pub Great food , fab attractions in the area , site is very clean everything on site was well looked after. The only fault we had was the toilets were closed on the morning at 10 when everyone was going home, nobody could wash up or use the toilets, long queue at the family toilets, it would not stop us coming back, just a mention so your aware, apart from that we had a fab time . Pitches were a great size lots of room that was a lovely bonus .
