First time ever camping and solo too , staff couldn't do enough to help , nice and peaceful but very near grassington, always lovely and clean the shower/loo blocks were well maintained and hot.also the homemade chutneys they sell are delicious
We had a fab stay at Wood Nook. The facilities are great, particularly loved the coffee shop for a morning brew! Best coffee I’ve had at a camp site. The site is small enough that the kids could go free range. Toilet and showers were spotless. The only thing we think would even further improve the site is if the playground had an update but otherwise we can’t fault it and look forward to our next stay very soon!
Although the lane to the campsite is very narrow, it's worth the effort as the site is great. We stayed in the camping field, 4 campervans, 7 ladies and a dog! The campsite owners made great efforts to make sure we were all together and it was much appreciated. The views were stunning, the facilities great.....very clean, hot showers, everything you needed and very friendly owners. We had pizza from the pop up and coffee from the weekend batista. Just perfect.
Wood Nook was the perfect site to start my solo adventures. I only came from Harrogate, but once I arrived at the beautiful countryside setting, I could have been anywhere. The owners made me feel so welcome and there is everything on site you would need (and more) serving lovely pizzas in the evening, teas and coffees and homemade pastries in the mornings. It was so peaceful, just listening to the sheep and the owls in the evening. I will definitely be returning, if only to buy another jar of lemon curd……delicious!!💚
Lovely peaceful site, great dog walk, convenient for many Dales beauty- spots
Had a great stay a wood Nook. The showers and toilets are excellent. Only a two walk into Grassington which is a lovely walk. There is a shop at a garage about mile away that has almost anything you could want.
Not been camping for a long time. Thought I'd grow out of it. This was my first trip with my roof bunk. Great place to stay. Nice walks all around. The site was very well maintained and the meet and Great was very friendly. Definitely be back.
First time stay here and won't be our last. Lovely friendly welcome from the owners. Coffee, pastries on site, delicious and we took advantage of the pizzas in the evening. Great service and yummy pizzas. Sat out in the garden with a morning cappucino enjoying the peaceful views, great site, highly recommend. Easy walk or bike into Grassington. Visited the Plaza Uno for tapas, great food and wine. Narrow lane up to site but no problems.
Surroundings area pleasant enough. The entrance and exit is tight for twin axle 8ft wide caravans albeit they can get static vans in there. The foliage poses a risk to scratching caravan sides. The exit was harder than the entry as it has a s bend to negotiate. I escaped without damage but it was squeaky bum time in all fairness. The electric turned out expensive and useless. Had the water heater, fridge and kettle on and it tripped, electric set on lowest Kw. Also the electric turned out to be very expensive. Unsure why because our friends used far less using the same appliances. We even ditched the kettle to use the stove top and still managed to use £20 of electric in 3 days. electricity in 3 days. Everything working still when we uncoupled the hook up but no credit to be refunded. I can’t comment on the toilet and showers as only used our onboard facilities.
Great site set in fabulous countryside - the primroses on the walk to Bordley were amazing and i also spotted a hare on the camping field
