We traveled Windermere, loch lomond, loch ness, Edinburgh sites and this was ghe best sire in my opinion. Thank you
The facilities were really good, nice clean toilets. Decent park for the younger kids I’d say upto about 10yrs.It was great to have the family toilets etc as showering the kids was really easy with the both of us. Didn’t get chance to experience the on-site cafe as we were out all the time but it looked nice and was always busy!Filey was a nice place to visit as well as Pickering and our fav Thornton Le Dale and the stream with the ducks! I would recommend the ice cream there too!
amazing well kept site toilet and shower blocks beautiful clean and well kept reception were very helpful and pleasant I will definitely book to come back
We have been to the Vale of Pickering a few times now and it is a family favourite. The Polar bear bath was always a must see and the playground is great. The refurbed shower rooms have been transformed into a good space with a seat and an area to keep your clothes dry. The shop is handy for essentials and the cafe for coffee and pizzas. The staff are always lovely, especially about letting those leaving last Monday about the A64 closure. We love the area and went to Beamish, North Yorkshire Railway, Filey, Scarborough, Robin Hoods Bay, Eden Camp. As well as the more local area with a cooked breakfast at Steam and Moorland Garden Centre, lunch, a miniature train ride and pick your own strawberries at Cedar Barn and chippy tea at Cappleman’s. We also had excellent food at The Buck in Thornton le Dale and The Witching Post at Egton. Next year I think we will need two weeks!
Clean, friendly and great toilet block. Onlynegative is the cafe only being open half the week and reduced hours of opening
Stayed here many times and always love it. This time I had booked during school holidays, by mistake, so the site was very busy. I prefer it when it as a bit quieter but if you have children it is a brilliant site with a large play area and a huge field for ball games. I will definitely be back when it is a bit quieter and more to my liking.
Firstly, on arrival the staff was very friendly and helpful. The facilities are some of the best we have ever encountered, and kept very clean. I had a breakfast in the cafe and it was very good, the Fish and Chip van comes once a week and again was very good and the Pizza's from the cafe was also beautiful. The local area is well worth a visit, 2 miles to Thornton Le Dale and 14 miles to Scarborough. We will deffinately be back.
We stayed last week for 5 nights with our 3 young children. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. There was a lovely atmosphere to the site and the kids loved the park. We were pitched in the perfect location and the facilities were the best we’ve seen. Even a bit of rain didn’t dampen our spirits! We are definitely planning a return visit.
We have stayed on this site before when our children were young and have always wanted to come back but never got round to it. This campsite has probably the cleanest facility we have ever seen. The site itself is very well looked after, staff are all very friendly and helpful. Would recommend it to families and couples 🏕
Myself my wife and my 5 year old daughter came here for our first ever camping trip and we had such an amazing time. The facilities are excellent with ample showers and toilets for all. The cafe and whole are lovely and the staff are more than welcoming. This site really is luxury if you want to camp in a tent but prefer the benefits of a shower and toilets. Mondays and Fridays you can order pizza but unfortunately we missed out, although my wife did see someone with a pizza and said it looked and smelled amazing. This place is great for children too as it has a great play area with climbing frames and swings etc. There is also a huge field to play in. The site itself is away from any main busy roads so is lovely and quite. Many Thanks to the Stockdale family for creating such a wonderful site that is situated in some of the best countryside in our country.
