St Helens in the Park is an attractive, established park situated on the edge of the North York Moors National Park offering a welcoming, relaxed atmosphere and is set in wonderful surroundings with first-class-facilities, with tree screening creating smaller and more intimate areas.

St Helens Caravan Park is a large 36 acre campsite offering 100 touring pitches – most of which are hardstanding – including 30 adult only pitches in a quiet zone. The site is divided into terraces with tree screening creating smaller, more private areas – a feature which enables different areas of the park to vary in character and outlook. The terracing and landscaping suits the requirements of a wide range of caravanners and motorhomers.

As well as the park's adults only zone, they offer plenty of family pitches both hardstanding and grass with a number of play areas and open space for family activates. The park also have six acres devoted to Country Park for walking and relaxing – with animals to look at including pigs, sheep and our famous alpacas.

If guests fancy a truly unique camping experience the park offer a number of purpose built wooden pods. The pods will keep you warm in the winter months and cool in the summer due to fantastic insulation.

We were made extremely welcome and all the staff were both friendly and professional and the campsite is probably the best we've stayed at

Tokell, Neil - 29/05/2026

We arrived relatively late and were assured before we set off not to worry if we arrive after 20:00 because we'd still be able to pitch up (we've been caught out before by campsites that close their doors after 1900 and will not let you on site). The manager also asked us if we wanted to move to plot with a better view as one had just been vacated the day after we got there but the plot we had was fantastic (as were they all). The shower block was hotel standard and meticulously clean and the on site bar had a great vibe it with delicious pizzas on the Saturday night.Management were exceptional and provided us with details of cycling routes which were great and we got to ride beside wild deer which was highlight on the "Cinder Path" which is an unused old railway line between Scarborough and Whitby. Its a campsite that we'll definitely use regularly from now on because the site is beautiful, the staff are incredibly friendly and the area is stunning (with great local pubs)

Staycation

Redford, Jason - 29/05/2026

Loved the site , Staff very friendly, pitch was well presented. Was a little on the small side once canopy and car was on , not really anywhere to sit. However will definitely be back as really enjoyed our stay. Very relaxing. The only thing that let it down, and probably nothing to do with site as may be sub let, was the cafe opening hours. It’s a wonderful cafe but opening hours are strange and not what we expected. Closed Fri evenings, Saturday in the morning and then 3pm while 8pm despite garden being full of holiday makers. Sunday only open while 5pm and it was red hot would have made a fortune that bank holiday weekend, other than that had a great time

So pretty!!

Miles, Claire - 29/05/2026

Second time at St. Helens. Always try for a site with pub/cafe onsite and this one never disappoints. Went to ghe pizza night on Saturday. Everybody was there sitting outside cos weather was lovely, it was really nice. Pizzas gorgeous with glass of cider. Toilets and bathrooms impeccably clean, and everything needed onsite nearby. Easy to get onto main roads to travel to Pickering (NY railway), Thornton-le-dale, York, etc. Reliably good site.

We visit St Helens each year as it is one of our favourite sites. There is so much to explore in the local area. The facilities are top class and the cafe provides a great choice of meals. They also had an outside vendor visiting selling delicious treats whilst we were on site. We love that you can pitch up close to the park and there's also a large grassed area for rounders / football etc.

Bank Holiday Weekend

Clarke, Oliver - 29/05/2026

5

Beautiful site, well maintained, amazing park, fantastic toilets / shower facilities. Our only gripes were that our pitch (93) grass...was used as a thoroughfare to access toilet block which was annoying. The only other thing was the Cafe closed at 3pm, which by the time you've checked in, set up etc it leaves you no time to pop for well deserved drink / snack...even an extra hour or so would be better. Apart from we really enjoyed the stay at St Helens.

Always a great experience staying on the site

Dawson (store 29), Sharon - 27/05/2026

The site is situated in a perfect location, making it accessible to the coast, inland and surrounding villages. The staff are very helpful and friendly, they go out of there way to help if needed. The new shower/toilet blocks are perfect, clean and well maintained. We are store customers, who now don't tow the caravan as we find the site perfect for many holidays over the year. The ease of booking, the location, not having to pack and unpack the van is less stressful, taking trips in the car for a day or a few hours, or doing nothing and spending time on the site relaxing and having the coffee shop/restaurant on hand is a delight too.
