Studfold Caravan & Camping Park

4.6 (83 reviews)

Unforgettable holidays are made at award-winning Studfold in the Yorkshire Dales. This is camping, glamping and caravanning at its best. Nestled in the emerald-green patchwork of the Yorkshire Dales near Pateley Bridge, you’ll enjoy breath-taking views, fantastic amenities and the freedom to relax with extra-wide pitches. There’s a warm, good old-fashioned Yorkshire welcome too.

There is a warm Dales welcome waiting for you at Studfold caravan, camping and glamping park. Whether you’re a family with children, couple, or sole adventurer, you’ll love the Nidderdale Experience. There’s so much to enjoy, and wonderful surroundings to relax in.

We have 38 extra large, flat, well-drained grass pitches for tents, caravans, camper vans and motorhomes, 26 with electric hook-up. And we have four locally made, exciting glamping pods, situated at the edge of the field, each able to sleep a family of four (two adults and two children), or a maximum of three adults. The pitches and glamping pods are organised for maximum space and comfort for all, and are very near to the large, level play area for children, perfect for ball games and running around. There is also access to the beck trickling alongside the campsite where children love to play and build dams. Fun for the little ones too, but they will need an adult with them.

Our outstanding facilities include electric hook ups, sparkling-clean toilet and shower block, as well as undercover cooking and socialising shelter (invaluable in wet weather), fire pits and WIFI vouchers. We also have the wonderful Nidderdale Way Cafe run by Julia, where you can enjoy an easy, delicious breakfast, as well as homemade snacks and treats throughout the day (weekends and local school holidays only).

What sets Studfold apart from other sites is that there is so much to do, on and off the site. Our famous Adventure Trail, renowned for its fairies and celebration of all things nature is part of Studfold, and is a fantastic family attraction, right on your caravan, tent or pod doorstep! If you book the Trail online as part of your stay you will get 2 days of entry for the price of 1 (dependent on the Trail being open).

The Lost Earth Adventures activities are also readily available. And there are many beautiful walks, of all ability levels, starting from Studfold. You’ll find an amazing Yorkshire Dales base at Studfold for exploring Nidderdale and North Yorkshire.

Regular returning camper

We have been coming to Studfold for many years both in a tent and in a camper van. Midweek the site is uncrowded and quiet outside of school holidays. The toilet/shower block is immaculate and the owners are very helpful. One minor problem is the lights in the toilet block. They are controlled by a motion sensor and turn off after a short time if you are out of range, such as in a toilet cubicle or shower. This can leave you in pitch blackness if it happens after sunset. Overall we had a very refreshing and pleasant stay and will continue to return.

Wonderful family site

Storr, Chloe - 23/06/2025

Wonderful site set in a beautiful location. Great to spend time with the family, the site has very limited phone service which was nice to have a weekend without screens, out in nature! Great facilities on site and we visited the fairy walk on site.

Lovely campsite.

Booth, Ian - 20/06/2025

This is the second time we have stayed here and it is a well run campsite in a lovely setting. The only criticism I would make is that there are no water points on the upper camping area. As we are either cycle or motorcycle campers we have to carry a minimum of equipment so having a water point nearby is really helpful. We camp extensively in the UK and generally find that there are water points distributed around the sites we've stayed on.

A well run, clean and tidy friendly campsite in a lovely location. We'll be back soon.

O'Hara, Simon - 19/06/2025

We stayed 2 nights at studfold campsite and had a really positive experience. The campsite is well organised and had very clean facilities. The grass pitches are flat and well sign posted. The site was quiet even with children on site. It is a stunning location with easy access to the Yorkshire dales. There is a friendly ship and cafe in site also, which was a bonus. We will return.

Great value, super clean and lovely setting

Daly, Nicky - 16/06/2025

This is our second time to Studfold farm after a couple of years and the setting, facilities and cleanliness were just as good as before. We were only staying 2 nights mid Nidderdale way. Great location if you have a car, sadly public transport is thin to non existent here, buses are few and far between. There’s a pub in the village but it’s not open every day, however the food up the hill at the Crown Inn Middlesmoor had a nice welcome and was great value.

Outstanding site

Walton, David - 12/06/2025

Best campsite I have been to, spotless shower and toilet block. Pet friendly. I have stopped here many times with my children when they were young and they loved it. Set in beautiful countryside with lots of excellent places to visit and stunning walks on the river. Lovely pub in the village (Crown) and about 15 minutes from Pateley Bridge town. Wonderful walk around Scar reservoir. An absolute must for families and single campers you will not be disappointed.
