We stayed at Hillside for 3 nights in April 2024 in our Motorhome and it was the most peaceful, quiet and welcoming site we’ve stayed at for a long time!Staff were fantastic and nothing was too much trouble. The facilities are very good, clean and well maintained.The location has fantastic panoramic views of North Yorkshire and is situated close to the towns of Thirsk and Northallerton.A 5* site and we will definitely be back!

We arrived late, but were given clear instructions how to access the site. It is well laid out, very clean and tidy and well maintained shower block.

Beautiful location and very quiet site. The fully serviced pitches are extremely handy. Good warm shower toilet facilities, only downside is nowhere to put you shower gel/soap and having to keep pressing those pesky buttons to keep your shower going.Staff very friendly and helpful. If you want a break away from it all , this is the site for you

For me Hillside is my go to campsite to get away and just relax. The site is a half hour drive down the A19, hanger right at Knayton, a lovely little village with a fantastic pub; the Dog and Gun. If you want a meal here it would be advisable to book in advance. Probably the only downside to this site is the mile or so single track road to get to it. Plenty of passing places a bit rough in places so just take your time. The entrance to the site sets the tone, well maintained, clean and tidy. The staff are really friendly and helpful. All pitches are fully serviced which takes away the tedious trip to top up water and empty waste butts. The site is nice and quiet, plenty of places to walk dogs and a large field with play area for children. The facility building is very clean and well maintained. If you are looking for a nice quiet getaway this is the place. Yorkshire moors on your doorstep, Whitby, York relatively close by with other attractions in the vicinity.

A great stay at Hillside over the Easter weekend. The fully serviced super size pitches offer great space and are all located on the quieter area of the site. Will definitely be returning again. The onsite staff are super friendly. Check in was super quick and we were on the pitch in a matter of minutes.

What a lovely site. Beautiful views and very clean and tidy. We had a very large full service pitch overlooking the pond. Absolutely stunning, nice and quiet. Friendly and helpful staff. Would highly recommend for anyone visiting this part of Yorkshire. Perfect for access to the motorways also. Thanks 😊

Very peaceful site with good walks in the surrounding area

The site is well set out very clean but there were only two toilets in the block and the shower where small and I think that the price per pitch for bank holiday is expensive
