Nice place to stay the only thing I would like to comment on is that the lights in the shower and toilets could stay on longer

Quiet, Clean and Cozy

We have stayed many times at Lordstones. Always enjoyed our stay and the food.our pis was ready early and was notified by phone that we could check in early. Staff very polite and friendly. The only let down to our stay this time was that we struggled to park, I do think that some parking spaces should be reserved for the pods. Also, we were bot informed of the shop being closed for the whole weekend, we were told that the staff was ill but if we had been informed when we were contacted to Check in early, we could of stopped somewhere on the way, however once we unpacked, we had to then go find somewhere open to purchase food.

Lordstones Pod camping

Westworth, Christopher - 15/09/2022

Very comfortable Pod by a pond. No TV/Radio/WiFi/internet/phone signal in the Pod. Only WiFi available in the bar/restaurant, so take a speaker and some games for the evening. Kettle, microwave and fridge freezer in the pod. If you want to cook, there is a BBQ outside or take a gas stove and cook on the picnic table on the decking. Log burner or convection heater available for the colder days and nights. Showers are approx 100m from the pod, across the car park (if people are using the outside tap or scullery then the water pressure drops significantly and the showers stop working. (This only happening when a mountain bike bike race was being held at the location)Bar and restaurant are very comfortable and food is superb. Drinks are very reasonably priced. The farm shop has some delicious goods and some local meats. Area is beautiful for walking and biking. Stunning views all around.

A magical world on our doorstep

Once again we returned home and immediately rebooked. Lordstones is like a different world in beautiful surroundings with a fantastic choice and range of walking. We are always very impressed by the level of professionalism and courteousness of the staff. We love to eat in the restaurant because the food is exceptional. The shop is reasonably priced - so we always have a list of up-coming birthdays with us.

Lovely setting

Joyes, Lindsay - 06/09/2022

The location was very nice , peaceful and picturesque. We stayed in the woodcock pod which was comfortable and clean and it had Everything that we needed for a short stay, the toilet in the pod was a good addition, however it was a bit smelly and we had to have the door closed and the window open. We had a problem with flies, the blue bottle type- they were living in the door frame and there were lots of them! We sorted this by spraying them with sanitiser. Also on a bit of a negative the mens shower block was very smelly and my husband opted not to use which wasn’t really a problem as we only stayed for 1 night. Also, would have been better if the bar area was open a little later and maybe at weekends it is. All in all we enjoyed our stay,it was a different experience for us and we would like to do it again ! Maybe next time I would look for somewhere that had a hot tub.

Thank you for taking the time to leave a review and for leaving some pointers that we can improve on.I'm glad to hear that you enjoyed your stay in the Pod and the location. It really is beautiful up here.During the warm weather, blue bottle flies can unfortunately be quite prevalent up here in the moors. I will definitely look into a more thorough insecticide spray during cleanings to combat the issue.I am sorry to hear that the toilet in your Pod did not smell as fresh as you had hoped. Unfortunately, I believe we had a salt build up in our pipes during the date of your stay which was dealt with as quickly as possible to ensure that any smell did not last. My apologies on how this impacted your stay, however I hope this can show you that it is certainly not the 'usual' for our Pod bathrooms or Amenity Block.I'm afraid due to our rural location, the restaurant and bar area closes at an earlier time when we do not have evening bookings as we are not a place that tends to get foot traffic after a certain hour. We do certainly make sure that those staying on site are aware of closing times as well as restaurant availability to make sure we can offer a lovely dining experience during a weekend stay.I hope that we can once again welcome you on site in the future and that we have been a good experience of Glamping to continue with! I hope to see you again soon
