Nobody greeted us on arrival, showers were hopeless. Nobody came near to check we were ok. No one answered the phone intercom wanted us to top up there phone 😂

We love coming to the Oaks Lakes. It a lovely quiet site with clean facilities and near enough to Thirsk, Northallerton and York . Ticks all our boxes.

Excellent camp site facilities for a great price. The fishing was brilliant and great that there is always plenty of pleasure pegs available. Well maintained and a great stocking of fish staff really friendly and happy to you advice regarding the fishing. Great value for money with a discount on day tickets if you’re staying at the camp site. Best all round fishing complex I’ve found in North Yorkshire !

Good value for money and a peaceful camp site

Had a brilliant time everything clean and well kept. Was a bit noisy after 9.30 pm from other campers as I was up early to go fishing. Would definitely return.

I stayed here primarily for the fishing which you can’t fault, the complex is the best I have had the pleasure to fish.The campsite area is great, spacious level pitches, the only criticism of the pitch is the make up of the hard standing appears to be broken up tarmac but perfectly adequate.The grey/black waste and water points are all fine, the facilities block is clean with plenty of soap and loo roll.Plenty hot water in the showers, only criticism of the showers is the water seemed to go everywhere and flooded both shower cubicles which meant I had to mop up both sides, perhaps the drainage could be improved.
