Canada Fields Caravan Park is located near to Northallerton in the Vale of York set between the Yorkshire Dales National Park to the west and the North York Moors National Park to the east.
The park has 40 pitches with lovely views over the countryside on a landscaped area beside the family run farm. Pitches are all hard standing with electric hook-up and have water either directly adjacent or very close by.
We also have a heated toilet block, dishwashing facilities and free WiFi. There is also plenty of dog walking around the farm fields.
Each touring pitch is on hard standing, with an electric hook up and water at the pitch or very nearby. Free Wifi is provided on site.

Great location very relaxing, I just wish there were more pitches for touring vans. So if you are a tourer book early it will be worth it
Hot running water clean showers / toilets, only one of each but noticed new block under construction, which more are needed, although did not fish the pond looked great with pegs to fish..It’s quiet and relaxing will come again…
The caravan park is easily accessible from either direction. The staff are really friendly and helpful. This site has well stocked small fishing lakes and accommodate some good size carp, trench, breem etc. The park is approx 3 miles from North Allerton where there are major supermarkets and the high street has all the shops you need plus plenty of pubs where you can eat as well.Back to the park, the only thing I would say is the toilet block could improve by adding more cubicles as there is only one in gents and 2 in the ladies (so I've been told!) Both have showers and are clean and inspected regularly. Overall, recommended.
The staff were more than happy to help out in any way they could. Facilities great and easy road access to local places of interest. Fishing superb. My wife and I stopped here with three other couples in our touring caravans and had a wonderful time. Prior to this stop (April 23) we hadn't been to the site for 7 years. Many improvements and more to come. We will definitely be going again!
We love being among all the wildlife, rabbits birds of pray etc are fascinating to watch.
Lovely friendly site. I feel that the pitches should have numbers on them. Also on check in there was no explanation on where thing were. We didn't find out until later in the weekend that there was a second shower block. My confirmation stated pitch with electric and water. I wrongly presumed that the water was actually on our pitch for personal use (so we could attach it directly to our barrel) it was a shared tap between 2 pitches. I think this should be stated on the booking. The shower block on the caravan field has 1 shower and the bench and floor get absolutely soaked whilst having a shower, it's the design of the shower cubicle so I don't know what can be done about this. That said the facilities were very clean. There is a lot of work going on around the site and it looks like the site will be amazing. It is perfectly situated for Northallerton and Thirsk. If we are coming back to the area I wouldn't hesitate to go back to Canada Fields
Contacted Mark, who was extremely helpful in organising a long term pitch for us at short notice. We used the site to allow us to set our new caravan up being first time caravaners. The facilities were always clean and warm, we found the site to be well organised and peaceful. Thanks Mark for all your help, we’ll definitely be back when we’re in the area.
Mainly seasonal pitches but small number of tourers. Good access from the road. Caravans are spaced on a lovely location....quiet with lovely views. Tourers are nearby the small toilet/shower/dish washing facilities which are modern and clean. Overall a very pleasant stay.
When we visited over the Easter break the ground was really soggy and very muddy. But that’s due to all the rain, not any fault of the site owners. Good hard standing pitches. We usually fish in the ponds but it was just too wet this time. Some nice walks across the surrounding fields with the dogs. We have been a few times now and will return.
We were very satisfied with the site nice big plots and able to put caravan facing the lake which was nice.only thing we found not very good was no toilet roll in either ladies or mens toilets for three out of the four days we were there and bins in toilet were full and not emptied till the Thursday.on saying this we would definitely stay again it is a lovely little site.
Hi Paula,Thank you very much for your review. I can only apologies about the toilet rolls and bins. Our toilets are normally checked every 2 days minimum if not every day. I will be checking personally from now on. Hope to see you again soon
