Excellent informative welcome at Reception. The pitches are a good size and the site is obviously well cared for. Bathrooms spotless!Nearest pub serving food couple of miles away, no footpath so wouldn't be an ideal walk.Recommend The Wheatsheaf as a great pub (no food). For a really good meal try The Carpenters Arms.

We used the caravan park as a base for having days out with the kids and we stayed in the granary cottage. The location was great for us. The cottage itself was perfect, we had 2 adults and 2 children (1 and 6 years). It was exceptionally clean and had all of the amenities we needed. The beds were lovely and comfy and we had ample bathrooms. I asked prior to coming about a cot and high chair which was not a problem for them, the travel cot was great and was more of a proper wooden cot which was more comfortable for the baby. The caravan park itself was just lovely, it was so quiet (which I love). We went for walks around the area and it was so peaceful. My older child loved the little play park and the big field to play football on. The staff in reception were very friendly, explained everything about the cottage and were always there to help. We would absolutely return! Great value for money x

I have stayed lots on this site and it never disappoints. Great staff wonderful service, excellent facilities and even when staying alone it feels extremely safe.

Me and partner needed a well deserved night away and I couldn't have picked a better place, from arrival the staff were extremely polite, check in was quick and easy, we had booked one of there mega pods (pet friendly) which was immaculate inside and out and the grounds of the site were maintained to a very high standard, our stay was during the week so it was quiet but the other guests that were staying there again were very friendly, We had taken our dogs with us and there is a 2 minute walk through the site (dogs on there lead) which leads you to a large recreational field again maintained in which your dogs can be let off the lead and exercised, There was a pub that served food just down the lane ide say a easy stroll of about 15 minutes away. we never used the pub this stay as we choose to drive 10 minutes into thirsk for tea.I have booked another pod for 2 nights this time and me, my partner and our pooches are really looking forward to returning

This place is amazing. We stayed in a mega pod, and it was faultless, very clean, lovely view, everything we needed was provided. Hillside itself is a beautiful place and very well kept. Can’t recommend this place enough. So many nice walks to do around the area. It’s definitely a family friendly place with a big playground for children not far away from the pods.

Absolutely amazing site. 100 % recommend to everyone. Lots of space between caravan, great playground for kids, grass so nice you can walk without shoes. Facilities clean with nice smell. Lots of space to go for walks with dog. Top service!

We stayed over the Bank Holiday so the site was full, but we had loads of room. The whole site is set out out for us. They haven't crammed pitches in. We are definitely coming back. Thank you for a lovely time. Tony and Jill

We found the site to be very spacious with good access and the grounds were extremely well kept. It was in a lovely location, the pitches were very well set out giving both space and privacy and the facilities were kept extremely clean. The staff were friendly and helpful and the small 'grass cutters' were always active and kept us entertained!

Hillside is a beautiful site: care is taken with the grounds and staff constantly work to ensure high standards. The children's area, the grass for football and the wildlife pond are all a bonuses to be enjoyed.Staff continue to do all they can to make our stay a good one. We used a caravan pitch and a pod this time and were delighted by both.

This was our second visit to Hillside with our touring caravan and again it didn’t disappoint. The facilities are kept spotless with the added luxury of underfloor heating. The grounds are well manicured and again kept spotless.
