The best site in North Yorkshire.Location is perfect for adventures into North Yorkshire, across into the dales or up into the North East.The site owners and staff are the most friendly and helpful we have ever come across.Nothing is a problem to them and they all take time for a chat.The facilities are top end with heated shower blocks and the pitches are all fully serviced including digital tv point.We don't know how they do it but the general site and facilities are exceptionally clean at all times. You wont regret a visit

Great base for Thirsk, Northallerton and many more beautiful little locations. We stayed in the cottage. Immaculate and great layout and excellent facilities on the site. Highly recommend.

This is truly a 5* site. Large pitches with full service points. Hard standing but also a grass area. Fab shower and toilet facilities. Grass is manicured and well looked after by a team of robot lawn mowers. There is a lovely play area for kids. Great site for people with dogs as there is a fantastic area for walking them on site and you could walk 5 kn without going over same ground. There is access to the walk across a small stream and the edges of the field have been cut creating short grasses pathways. There is also an indoor dog wash for whe. It’s muddy. Reception is great with helpful staff and a small shop with local produce and essential items for sale.there’s a lounge area with a coffee machine. Area is great for walking with a pub serving food 1.5 miles away. Our caravan is now in storage and will be visiting many times. Thirsk and Northallerton are a short drive away.

We stayed here as friends have caravans on the site. Check in was quick and easy. The site is perfect for dog owners (which we’re not, but our friends are) with dog washing facilities and lots of scope for long walks. The on site toilets/showers were immaculate, well lit and not too cold either. The view we had was amazing, however, for us it was too remote with nowhere really within walking distance; the Gun and Dog being the closest thing to walk to and that is 1.5 miles away. If you don’t mind driving everywhere though, lots of places drivable. So, the site is really good but just too remote for us

Staff are very friendly and helpful, nice clean pitch and good play park for the children. Toilets warm, clean and well maintained.

I chose Hillside Caravan Park as I was at an event in the village of Knayton and this was the nearest site to stay at. The road leading up to the site from the village was a bit rough with potholes but on entering the site I was more then pleasantly surprised at how clean, neat and tidy it was. A very polite and helpful member of staff took us to our pitch, which felt quite spacious. The toilet block which was just a short walk away was very clean. While I was away at the event my husband had a wonder around the site and he was very impressed as although it was quite a large site it was obviously well looked after. On this occasion we didn't have an opportunity to go out and about but we'd definitely recommend.

We store our caravan at Hillside, not to take it away, but to enable us to regularly pop up North and visit family.The van is on our pitch, virtually ready to go and we are on holiday the minute we arrive.Pat and her team provide a super, friendly and welcoming experience.The extra large pitches are lovely in the summer looking over the pond and the electric car chargers have been a great addition.Showers and toilets always clean and lovely and warm.The very tame pheasant interacting either the robot lawnmowers is definitely worth a watch! North Allerton is our favourite town and we thoroughly recommend The Green Apple Indian Restaurant in North Allerton.Also love the Yorkshire Burger in The Potting Shed! Thoroughly recommend this lovely site

What a lovely site , from the reception to help setting up the welcome was lovely. 4 pubs can be walked to when the tracks are a little drier. We tried two, Dog& Gun and Carpenters Arms on our visit and both were again very welcoming with our dog too. Thirsk was a lovely market town with everything you need all with a Yorkshire welcome Our visit was in December so a little cold and wet , but the owners and staff were warm and welcoming.A small shop supplies the essentials with a cosy coffee lounge and showering facilities. A great dog wash for the pampered ones, and a pristine under floor heated shower block with all first class amenities. We shall return in the spring and summer and look forward to nice walks to the pubs.

A very friendly, clean and warm campsite ideally situated on our way home up the east coast.It’s obviously in a beautiful location and we’ll be back in the summer.
