Great location friendly and welcoming staff. Good clean facilities.We had four nights here and the location is very quiet and scenic, great base to travel to local points of interest.We traveled from here to the park and ride to York for the day, about 40 minutes away.

Hillside was a very clean and well maintained site, it was great for dog walks and poo bins provided. The facilities were lovely and clean with everything you need on site with laundry, dog wash, pot wash. The staff were very friendly and welcoming, we would definitely return to Hillside Caravan Park.

We pushed the boat out and went for a fully serviced pitch, plenty of room between pitches on a very well maintained park. Shower and toilet blocks very clean and modern. A very quiet site with plenty of walks and as we have a border collie who just loves walking these were great. The views from.the top of the fields opposite the park were fantastic and the quietness was deafening. We could of heard a pin drop. Dog wash on site is very clean modern and inside. Shame site doesn't have a small restaurant/ bar but not a deal breaker and we knew this when booking. Overall a very peaceful enjoyable stay. Highly recommend and will definitely return in the future.

In our 50 years of caravan and camping experiences we were so bowled over by the immaculately kept site where we met up with our friends on the adjacent pitch .the weather was very hit and miss but didn’t spoil our holiday. Thirty years since we visited Yorkshire and were impressed to return and find how much improved roads were and amazed at the care taken over upkeep of the whole area .Highlight was visiting Mathewsons car auction (TV show fame) .which our men are fans of .So nice to shop in Northallerton with its individual shops and market ( lost in so many towns ) local pub really good. Overal great.

This site is one of the best in North Yorkshire, Location is excellent, can't fault the cleanliness of the facilities. Very handy dog friendly pub in the quiet village of Knayton.

The site is clean, friendly staff & we found it very relaxing

Having recently stayed at Hillside, we would highly recommend this site to anyone wishing to explore the North York Moors and it's beautiful villages and towns. The facilities were superb and very clean and tidy at all times....one of the best we've come across. There is even a lovely cosy coffee lounge off the main reception for enjoying a relaxing cuppa while studying the great selection of guides and leaflets provided for the local area. The site was really well laid out too, with spacious pitches throughout. We had a fully serviced pitch, which even had a direct drain for our cassette toilet to be emptied into, saving those little trips to the chemical disposal points. All the staff were very helpful, friendly and always easily available if needed. We would definitely stay here again, and can't wait to revisit this excellent site. Thank you to the management and staff for a well run site.

A lovely, well kept camp site with excellent facilities, toilets and showers were immaculate. Staff were helpful and friendly and it is situated in a beautiful and quiet area. I have no negatives whatsoever and would highly recommend this camp site to anyone. I am planning to return here ASAP.
