Park Description

Upwood Holiday Park is set in the Heart of Bronte Country just outside the village of Haworth in West Yorkshire. The park caters for touring, camping, glamping and static holiday homes for hire. The park enjoys panoramic views over the beautiful surrounding countryside. There is a bar/restaurant and small shop onsite. For children, there is an indoor soft play area and games room, as well as a modern outdoor playground. The park also has direct access to various moorland paths, ideal for long country walk with beautiful views.

Touring and Camping: There is a range of hard standing and grass pitches with and without electric hook-up.

Glamping and Yurts: The standard Pods offer more security and protection from the elements than staying in a tent. They are well insulated, have lighting and an electric socket. The Mega Pods and Yurts, are like mini hotel rooms. They have a comfy bed, futon sofa, kitchenette, TV and ensuite toilet and wash basin.

Holiday Caravans: Upwood Park have a range of holiday caravans available to hire for weekly and short breaks.

Cottage: The onsite cottage 'Quarry Bank House' has three bedrooms and is available for weekly stays all year.

"A 'site' for sore eyes!"

Mr M Powell - Stayed with family, May 2019

An excellent site in a fabulous location. Staff, and attention to detail in facilities first rate. Very good and essential separation between tourers, statics and children's areas. Quiet at night. Will use each year as site is near family.

It was their first time camping and despite the horrible weather, they really want to come back. The facilities were good and very clean. The site generally is immaculate. Food in the bar was first class and the play area joined on to the bar was great for the kids. The only downside I could find was that the showers were on a paid meter and you don't get very long, especially when trying to wash both yourself and a whingy young child! That said, I would highly recommend you book in!

We appreciate you keeping some back that are not dog friendly but would love to see in the future one in which we could stay in :). We have had a fantastic stay in the yurts again. And will definitely be back in the future.

After a mix up with a double booking of the Mongolian yurt we were due to stay in we couldn’t go the dates we wanted. We were obviously upset but after discussion with the owners of the site they sorted us a different date that suited us to stay in the yurt and we were also compensated adequately for the mix up. Once there the site, staff and yurt were all fantastic. Although the weather was typically British we had a great stay and felt like the yurt was home from home. We love walking across the moorland and visiting Howarth which is historic and beautiful. With Bradford and Halifax not too far away theirs places you can visit if you want, otherwise just relax on site and let the kids go play at the park. We will definitely good back even after the mix up, due to the location, site and the friendly helpful staff that run the site.

Miss L Helps - Stayed with friends, May 2019

We’ve visited upwood holiday park on numerous occasions camping. We’ve also stayed in the pods. It’s the perfect break. Whether it’s sunny or raining we always have a great time. There’s loads to do and the kids love it as well

Feels really safe to let the children go off and play on the park (4 and 6yrs), they made a few friends. The clubhouse with indoor play is also fantastic for grabbing some tea/ breakfast or when the weather isn’t great. Again, the kids went off playing with new found friends. The food is good and great value for money. Camping pods are basic but are great value and save getting the tent out when you just want a couple of nights away. Wash / toilet facilities are good. Always clean. Don’t mind paying 50p for a shower but would like to see an on/off switch and temperature dial - too hot for the kids to shower. On our first visit a couple of years ago, I was unable to shower nit lotion off (joy of kids!) as the showers were burning hot and had to hang them over the washing up bowl. Showered alone this time but the temperature was still burning hot. Thanks again for a great stay - I could happily stay every weekend if I didn’t have to work!
