Park Description

Upwood Holiday Park is set in the Heart of Bronte Country just outside the village of Haworth in West Yorkshire. The park caters for touring, camping, glamping and static holiday homes for hire. The park enjoys panoramic views over the beautiful surrounding countryside. There is a bar/restaurant and small shop onsite. For children, there is an indoor soft play area and games room, as well as a modern outdoor playground. The park also has direct access to various moorland paths, ideal for long country walk with beautiful views.

Touring and Camping: There is a range of hard standing and grass pitches with and without electric hook-up.

Glamping and Yurts: The standard Pods offer more security and protection from the elements than staying in a tent. They are well insulated, have lighting and an electric socket. The Mega Pods and Yurts, are like mini hotel rooms. They have a comfy bed, futon sofa, kitchenette, TV and ensuite toilet and wash basin.

Holiday Caravans: Upwood Park have a range of holiday caravans available to hire for weekly and short breaks.

Cottage: The onsite cottage 'Quarry Bank House' has three bedrooms and is available for weekly stays all year.

We stayed in a Yurt which was really comfortable. Despite poor weather the log burner kept us nice & warm. We were really close to the toilets & showers which were spotless. Food was really good in the pub, large portions! Advisable to book food on Saturdays as it was really busy. Booked again for the summer in the hope of better weather. Enjoyed a nice walk on the Moors on the Saturday🌞

Geoff the bartender was very helpful and knowledgeable about the surrounding areas. Karen on the front desk was also very friendly as well. The showers were very clean and very spacious, they were operated by a 50p coin , but it did last a long time.

Even when very strong winds hit on the Saturday night we felt very secure, no risk of it blowing away. Food was nice in the pub, but it was very busy, so a bit of a wait, but it is made to order. Definitely recommend the yurts, nice clean site, friendly staff.

Had a lovely weekend here in standard pods. Wind was howling but didn't feel a thing in the cosy pod. Mega pods look great but no dogs., these have loo's but are directly next to the toilet block........ Yet standard pods that don't have loo's are positioned furthest away! Should have been more thought put into positioning. Few regulars in the bar bit worse for wear. Not good when they are constantly walking/stumbling in and out of the the back room as they go to the beer garden for a cig. Which is where you have to sit if you have a dog. It is directly off the children's arcade, but still nice and clean. These are the only areas that were not great but they are minor in comparison to the lovely park and very welcoming staff. We really loved the walk into howarth and how close it was. We will definitely be back and have already recommended it to family and friends.

The Mega Pods are located next to the toilet block due to the park services being supplied by a bore hole for water and septic tank for waste water, as this does not run very well up hill. Both lounges at the back and the beer garden are all pet friendly and enables our customers to bring their pets out with them. We avoid making the whole bar area pet friendly as this enables our customers who don't have a pet to use the facilities in comfort. We are always striving to strike a balance that suits all parties. Many thanks again for taking the time to write such a constructive review. Thanks Karen

"campsite"

Z Wood - Stayed with family, Dec 2018

The park itself is lovely but the only fault is the pitches aren't level. If these were level then I would consider returning for a third time. The wash rooms are clean and plenty hot water.
