Our lodge was lovely, really clean and very well equipped. Comfy bed with v nice bedding. Hot tub was also fab. We used the onsite bar and restaurant twice, really good food, especially the Sunday lunch, and very reasonably priced. The only thing that let it down a little bit for us was signage! It was impossible to find the walks, and the cabin layout wasn’t signposted at all. It would also have been better to have footpaths rather than walking on the roads which at times were quite busy. But we really enjoyed our weekend and will definitely consider returning, probably out of peak season
Friendly staff, straightforward check in/check out process. The on sote bar and restaurant is really lovely and prices very reasonable too, great quality food. Everywhere is very clean. Some beautiful walks on site, and the animals were a real bonus. Only suggestions- the hot tub in our lodge really could do with updating- worked but very tired and pieces missing off it, outdoor furniture needs a paint over of wood treatment to pep it up a bit, and wifi isnt great if trying to stream on iplayer/netflix.
We absolutely loved our stay. The whole family immediately felt relaxed when we arrived. The estate and surroundings are beautiful. The kids loved playing out on their scooters, the park, early morning hot tubs, swimming, adventures exploring and meeting all of the animals. Any maintenance requests were responded to really quickly. We will definitely be back.
Overall our lodge was lovely and spacious. Only slight issue we had was an issue with the bath. We did report this but it wasn’t fixed during our stay. Staff on site and at the restaurant were very nice and professional and although we didn’t eat there the food looked lovely. The hot tub was the highlight of our stay and maintained the heat throughout. Surroundings were peaceful and there was a nice wall around seeing animals on site although the map provided was not so easy to follow. There was also a wedding on the Saturday taking place and we wandered into the area it was taking place given there was no signage about private area I’m guessing we not the first to do that but of course we made swift exit. There isn’t much to do activity wise on site or local area but we made most of places nearer skipton which was about 30-40 mins drive
Having stayed at Ribblesdale 4 times ,we returned in August this year we usually stay at the lodges mainly Wentworth. I was offered a upgrade a month before we came to Coot cottage which I kindly excepted. When we arrived the cottage was very unkept &dirty ,we spoke &asked could we move to a lodge but was told there wasn't anything available. Next moving we entered the small box room which was infested with flies &im not talking a few im talking hundreds, we where offered to move to lodge 46 but we needed to be secure with having a small dog.We got fly spray &thought that would be the end of it.Next morning the same I have photo's to send you .Jacuzzi wasn't working either the shower &maintaince came out to repair both.By this time we had enough &spoke to lady in the bar ,we where moved to a Wentworth lodge which was right a the top ,lovely inside just what we wanted but was shaded so no sun would enter the garden.Im not one to complain but our stay was ruined &we look forward t
Check in was really smooth, however, 4pm check in feels quite late, a 3pm check in would give more time to acclimatise and use the hot tub before dinner with young children. The lodge was only accessible by steps which wasn’t ideal for pushchair use. Also the “garden” was concrete which wasn’t very attractive. There is nowhere to put nappy bags and the bin store was at the other side of the park so that wasn’t ideal with a young family. Hindelinis is lovely food but the service is diabolical. I could go in to so much detail here but I don’t have the characters but lots of missed opportunities. There is a real lack of entertainment too. Across the park there is a real lack of signage, the bin stores are hidden and you should get a prize for finding the swimming pool! It would be great if things were signposted and a detailed map, including where to find good scenic walking routes would be helpful. Didn’t see a single deer so not sure where they all are!
The park and pub are lovely. The lodge inside was lovely, however the outside was tired. The hot tub cover was damaged allowing leafs etc to fall in Hot Tub and therefore never used it. I booked a lodge with a secure garden so I get let the dogs explore on their own, however I had to remain with them as the gate is ready to fall off and looking at the hinges this has not just happened and should have been picked up by now by staff
Excellent holiday park with lovely walks. Good facilities for visitors and staff very helpful.
Hi we really enjoyed our stay.Only thing I would say Is a cheaper breakfast takeaway option ,inky thing missing really. Normally when we go glamping they do bacon butties or take away pizzas ( easy food) for campers. Also people complained about the brightness of lights through night so maybe some disposable eye masks and ear plugs to help people sleep better.Heater or fans also.ThanksAbbie
We came for the weekend glamping for my son’s Biirthday, it was a perfect weekend. Kids absolutely loved it, plenty of room to run around and explore. Toilets and showers were clean. We had a little bbq the first night and also went to the restaurant for lunch one day and wow it was delicious! They also had a live singer outside. We had the perfect weather so the kids also enjoyed the outdoor pool. Nothing was ever any trouble , staff were very helpful. Will definitely be returning.
