Exactly as expected. Lodge was fab, nice & clean. Park was beautiful & also staff were great when I dined in the restaurant on one of my evenings. Thanks for a great stay!
This is our third time staying at ribblesdale and we love it ! We have three dogs and the cabin we stay in the skia lodge is amazing for our dogs. The staff are lovely and nothing is to much trouble. The walks and views on the estate are gorgeous. We will be returning next year.
Vfm excellent with May 20% offLodge accom was lovely and roomy/well equippedHot tub was superb/ well maintainedRestaurant on site served lovely food/ beverages and all staff were friendly and helpful.Enjoyed circular walk through Gisburn estate on first morning we were there. The only issue was poor wifi strength in lodges which prevented access to tv programs via bbc i player etc due to constant buffering. It was our second visit here and we experienced the same isdue last time we were here with poor tv reception. We enjoyed our 2 night break/ would recommend it as a ideal venue to re-charge ones batteries so to speak.
We have stayed in a lodge and recently a cottage, both with hot tub which was main attraction. Also able to take dogs so thats a bonus. Lovely walk around the park. Kids used the outdoor pool but that was tricky to access. No one around to give us code to get in 1st time, next time a man in a van let my husband and daughter in then sat and watched them which was a bit awkward. Overall the venue was really good, bar/restaurant on site who do take away.
We have previously stayed in the Huntsman cottage (which we have booked again for next year!) but this time there were only 2 adults, our baby and dog so, we needed something smaller. We chose the Knightley because of the enclosed garden which was perfect for our Golden Retriever. The restaurant on site is gorgeous and I had the best chicken burger I’ve ever had! My only negatives about the stay are that the beds in the lodge were not comfy in the slightest, we came home in agony. Also, the rooms need blinds or blackout options added as it was super bright from 4:30am and we had to put out little girls travel cot in the hallway of the lodge and because bedtime and early hours was far too bright. The view from our living room was beautiful! It looked like a photo but it was through the window! We didn’t get a chance to go to the outdoor pool because of the weather but we hopefully will get a chance to next spring when we return!
The staff were all amazing, the grounds were perfectly well kept. Our lodge had everything we needed and was tastefully decorated. Our only complaint is the heating in the bedroom didn’t work and the windows were open on a latch and locked so the room got a little cold in the night. We did enjoy walking the grounds and the pool area is perfect. It would be lovely if the restaurant offered take away pizzas or something like as we brought all our food but fancied take away one night.
Excellent facilities, lovely pool.Great onsite restaurant and friendly staff.Quite location within reach of great places to visit including Harrogate.
We stayed for 2 nights in the Chatterley Lodge (no 9) for my husbands birthday, it was our first time staying here and we were really impressed! The lodge was the closest to the reception & bar so initially we had concerns it might be noisy or lack privacy but this was far from the case due to the clever layout and design. I personally dislike using a hot tub when overlooked or have random people walking by etc, so we appreciated the sense of space and tranquility here. The team had thoughtfully put birthday balloons in the lodge as well as a bottle of prosecco to enhance our celebration and this was a much appreciated “special touch”.We loved the free roaming by peacocks and deer and was lucky to have one come to enjoy the last of the sunshine in our enclosed garden space. We are hoping to welcome a puppy to our family shortly and we wouldn’t hesitate to book again for the dog-friendly facilities.Would have been great to be able to buy ice from the bar but a v minor inconvenie
I brought my wife for her 50th birthday as a treat as we normally take our own tent camping so thought this would make a nice change and enjoy some of the luxuries. Sadly this turned out to be a bit of a disaster for us. Firstly we paid for our 2 dogs to come but decided not bring them, we were charged £100 for them, no refund offered. We then couldnt park anywhere near our tent, and we had to lug all of our stuff quite a distance. There was no facility such as a cart or wheel barrow to assist us. If we had known we would have brought our own. There was nothing in the tent other than a bed and a lamp. There was no heating. There was no kettle. If we had known again we would have brought our own, so we had no facility to make a cup of tea and we were frozen on an evening. We did not get a shower as we were so cold, as there was no heating in them either. This can not be described as luxury as it simply was not. No response from management after my wife wrote a letter of complaint.
Stunning location! Lodge was spotless and check in was seamless. Very well stocked kitchen, clean fluffy towels and beautiful bedroom with spa bath and large walk in shower. Outdoor pool was great addition to facilities. Hot tub was amazing and the lodge privacy is excellent. Having somewhere outdoors to relax in private is also such a tonic.Only two things to improve- signage around the park to lodge numbers and pool -and the 24 hr phone contact was switched off when I tried to call on two separate occasions. Overall our stay was the perfect tonic and we would love to return. The nearest town of Clitheroe is beautiful and we purchased our food supplies in Booth’s which is a fabulous grocery store that has literally everything! The surrounding areas are breathtakingly stunning and you return hike feeling like you’ve had a marvellous step off the roundabout. Will recommend to everyone we know!
