Next to the campsite, we have Thornton Hall Farm – a children’s Farm Park which is open from January to December and has a full calendar of events throughout (additional cost).
We have lots for you to do whilst you are staying with us should you choose not to sit back and relax…
The Pendle Way crosses through the centre of the farm or why not join the Pennine Way leading from the village. We have the Leeds & Liverpool canal within walking distance of the farm – for a longer walk head to the historic town of Skipton or take a shorter stroll to the village of Salterforth. You could even hire a barge to explore all the beauty of the canal – available at Skipton.

Myself, husband and 3 year old, 10 year and and 12 year old came camping auring October half term. Just before Halloween so the farm was set up with spooky activities and things to do. The campsite was very easy to find, we had plenty of space as it was out of season. The showers and toilets are great and always clean and my daughters kept commenting on how clean and great they smelt. A cleaner arrives every morning to do a deep clean and was very polite and helpful. We took advantage of the 50% discount into the farm too. The farm was good and kept us busy for the day. However I didn't like how lts of the activities were an additional cost. Quad bikes- £5Pony ride-£3Safari ride?Mischief mansion £3Pumpkin picking £5So by the time you add all these extras on when you have 3 children it adds a pot of money to your visit. Almost an extra £50, then on top of the entrance fee. I think it's a lot to pay for 1 day out. The staff were great and very friendly and helpful
The site is immediately next to the access road for the events building with traffic passing constantly throughout the day and beyond the ‘quiet’ times specified by the site. The wc’s have no hand drying facilities. There are no recycling bins.Overall disappointing.
We booked the campsite for the night as we had tickets for an event. We had a brilliant night and the campsite is lovely. Very tidy campsite with clean toilets and showers and the farm park is fantastic. We'll definitely be back.
I was fortunate to have a a family (the only people there) in a motorhome staying on the site. They where able to talk me through where everything was and charge my phone for me. If they hadn't been there I would not have felt comfortable staying. The reason for my unease was the whole place was locked up and no staff at all present. If the only other motorhome on site hadn't been there I would have been very confused about the legality of just rocking up and pitching. This is so strange and I have never experience this before.
We stayed at Thornton Hall for 5 nights in August, despite the rain we had a lovely time. The facilities on the camp site were clean and was very good value for money. Connor who works at the park was fantastic, he helped me when I had car trouble and made an effort every day to chat to my 5 year old boy about the animals and the farm. He was always friendly and helpful. The farm was great and affordable and my little boy loved it, especially Copper the large Billy Goat.
What a fantastic place, the kids loved it, so much to do. The farm is so well set out everything close to hand. The staff were all helpful and friendly. We stayed overnight in a Bell Tent which was fantastic, lovely and clean and well equipped.Just a couple of suggestions for improvement:Larger fridgeSeperate toilet in the Bell Tent section.Maybe allow access to the outdoor park in the evening to keep the kids occupied. Also keep the restaurant open later in the eveningSaying all that it didn't spoil our stay, and we had a lovely meal at the Punch Bowl pub with discount as we were staying at Thornton Hall.
This is our second visit to the park and both times have been excellent. Staff are friendly and welcoming there is so much for the kids to do. The indoor play area is spotless, staff are constantly clearing tables and wiping down. The camp site facilities are great toilets/showers are always clean. The only thing that lets it down is that it closes early. It would be good for those camping if there was access to snacks/drinks in an evening as there are no shops close by maybe a vending machine or something.
We had a fab one night stay at Thornton Hall Farm. Clean, tidy and plenty of room on the pitch we were given. The whole family including both dogs loved it. The toilet and bathroom facilities were cleaned regularly.
We stayed here as it was on the site of the farm park which we enjoyed. The site was well kept and the facilities clean and tidy, staff were also friendly and helpful.
