S Gough - Stayed with family, Mar 2020

Entrance to the site is limited to one lane.,but the plots are are flat and level and easy to get into if you have a motor mover or a good at reversing. The facilities are all first class but plots would be even better if you could connect your TV to the electric post.... It was also our 12 week old baby"s first camping trip. Your site was perfect for us. Our twins loved the park. The site is very clean and well maintained. We loved the unisex bathrooms - they are perfect for a family like us. We visited the cafe for breakfast and were greeted with fantastic staff and lovely food. We will definitely be visiting again and will recommend you to friends and family. Thank you. Our maiden voyage was a success and we created many memories. Emma

The site is all decorated up for the xmas period and looks excellent at night. Thanks again from a happy tourer.

The site, as usual, was very festive with the entrance road full of twinkling lights. Sight facilities were clean even on muddy wet days. The café was open for breakfasts, but understandably not on New Years Day. As the site closed on the 2nd until Spring there was no rush to depart that morning and so the leisurely paced continued. From here we visited Thornton-Le-Dale and Pickering and did a 3 mile circular walk (which took us along the steam railway, through woods, past the castle and back to the station), went to the Forge Valley, Dalby Forest, Scarborough and on our last day headed up the coast to Whitby and beyond. A farm field has been given over to the site, providing a football pitch and space to run for the children, whilst my dog couldn't believe her luck when she realised how much freedom she also had to tear round at a great pace of knots. Unfortunately the dog wash is turned off in winter (when it would be most useful) due to risk of freezing pipes, so we had to shower her in the caravan, an art we perfected over the days.

"Christmas Break"

Mrs C Shotter - Stayed with family, Dec 2019

Loved our stay at Vale of Pickering over Xmas holidays, the park was very quiet ( we liked) The Xmas decoration at the entrance were on a par with Blackpool illuminations!! Fabulous!

Dianne, replied to this review on the 10 January 2020

Thank you for your review. I have passed your comments on to our wardens who do all the Christmas lights displays. They were thrilled to be compared to Blackpool illuminations :)
