Great facilities and I love having plugs in the bathrooms for straighteners as we prefer to do non electric pitches. The unisex is such a great idea for the kids with a bit more room for showering. Our kids love the park area and the new cafe is lovely with good food available. Really enjoyed our stay and will definitely be back.

We recently spent two nights in a glamping bell tent at the Vale of Pickering caravan park with our grandson. The tent was lovely and well equipped. The site is in a beautiful location and ideal for Whitby and the North Yorkshire Moors Railway. I would give Scarborough a miss though. The site facilities are the best we’ve seen on any site and were spotlessly clean. The staff were helpful and friendly and the cafe was lovely. Pie night was very good but we were out too early in the morning to have breakfast there. The play area is very well designed and safe. All together an excellent short break, we last visited many years ago with our children but I don’t think it will be long before we’re back.

"Great place to camp"

Mrs C Stevens - Stayed with family, Aug 2018

I found the grass a bit rubbish to place tent on but the rest of the grass and areas were neat and tidy. Plenty of bins for dog poo bit still had the odd poo on the stones, due to careless owners letting dogs off the lead. Shop and food reasonably priced.

Always get a good sized space and the wash facilities are good and clean. Only problem This time was dogs. There were a couple of owners not keeping them on leads and I passed one father scraping dog dirt off his child's shoes in the main camping area which was disappointing. Aside from this, had a good stay.

"Camping with friends (and young children)"

We have stayed for a few years here with friends, all of whom have young children. Last year we found the warden to be a little frosty with us when we sat out with our friends in the evening. We were not noisy (after all, we had babies in the tent ourselves), but 5 minutes after the curfew set in (as we packed away) the warden was immediately there telling us to be quiet, and that groups were to be banned going forwards. We were delighted this year that this ban didn't seen to have been put into place, and this year we found the site to be much friendlier with the groups on the field (none of whom were disruptive at all during their stay). In honesty there appear to be quite a lot of rules on the site (we thought the banning of water pistols was a bit extreme on a hot summers day - a request for people to be considerate in their use would have been sufficient I think). Nevertheless, the facilities are excellent on this site, and really family friendly, and the new café adjacent to the park was really well utilised by us. Such a great addition. Again, we really enjoyed our stay and (providing groups continue to be allowed!) will certainly be back. Thank you.

"Always clean"

Anonymous - Stayed with family, Aug 2018

We've been coming to this park for a few years and it's always spotless. Although there's lots of people it's always quiet on a night.

"Firm favourite for our family trips"

Miss A Jowett - Stayed with family, Aug 2018

Came recently for the third time and it’s even better than before with the addition of the cafe! The facilities are fabulous, it’s clean and the play area is a hive of activity for the kids to enjoy themselves. We will be back!
