The site was lovely and clean and the staff very friendly and helpful. The only disappointment was the onsite shop which stocked very basic items. We had a further disappointment in that the local pub, which was within a mile and half walk, was not serving food that weekend. We ended up buying a frozen pizza from the campsite shop as that was really the only choice for an evening meal (unless you like vegetarian sausages). We would most likely return because it's in a lovely spot and our Springer loved running around in the nearby fields (owned by the campsite) but we would be better prepared to cook our own meals next time.

"Second stay"

Anonymous - Stayed with family, Oct 2019

This was our second stay here and we all had a lovely time. We will definitely be returning. I think the play park needed a little updating.

"Lovely site"

J Geeves - Stayed with family, Oct 2019

This is our third stay at this site, it is always clean and tidy with friendly staff, the pitches are nicely spaced apart with lovely views, you can see the children play on the park from the caravan and there is plenty of space for them to run around and be children... This is our third stay at this site, it is always clean and tidy with friendly staff, the pitches are nicely spaced apart with lovely views, you can see the children play on the park from the caravan and there is plenty of space for them to run around and be children safely. We like this site as it has a lot of things to do within an hours drive. We visited aysgarth falls and Whitby on this occasion but there are lots of little towns and attractions close by. Will definitely return in the future. Thank you

"An excellent base for touring Nth Yorkshire"

D Withnall - Stayed with partner, Oct 2019

We were welcomed and looked after by Ruth. Our particular request for a pitch near facilities was met and we were delighted. A quiet time of year, but the staff kept to their routines, so nothing was neglected. Two superb toilet blocks with underfloor heating too! ... We were welcomed and looked after by Ruth. We visited Forbidden Corner nr Leyburn and went walking in Dalby Forest. The pod was very clean, we liked the bathroom/shower and coped well. We brought pizza with us thinking there was an oven but they ended up in the freezer. Evenings we watched TV/read, think that the TV could be a few sizes bigger but appreciate some people never turn it on. Cooked other meals on the hob. Suggested a colander and a cheese grater to reception as they would have improved things. Overall we had a great time as a family and would recommend glamping.

"GREAT SIOTE FOR MOTOR HOME"

J Scarr - Stayed with partner, Oct 2019

The lower field area is ideal for motor homes with hard standing and electric, water, grey waste and TV point all on station. add in, lovely well kept surrounding grass areas and the best views of hills and woodland plus the tranquillity and you have an ideal base.... Close to Thirsk and Northallerton for shopping or go to Stokesly as we did, coming back to Osmotherley we then travelled to Knatley on the narrow road via the hills that we could see from site. A great experience to be repeated, time and asgain.

"Hillside cottage"

Anonymous - Stayed with partner, Sep 2019

Stayed recently for a long weekend for the UCI World Cycling Championships. The location of the cottage was within a short distance of the races. The cottage itself more than met our expectations and we will definitely return and recommend to others.

The pod itself was well equipped, clean and lovely and warm on our arrival. Checking in was very smooth and staff were very friendly. We had a lovely walk from the campsite on the first afternoon and there was plenty of things to do close by. We ate in the local pub which is about a 15 minute walk and the food was great. We would highly recommend both the campsite and the glamping pods - it is in a beautiful location but close to the A19 and the market towns of Thirsk and Northallerton.
