Canada Fields Caravan Park is near Northallerton in the Vale of York set between the Yorkshire Dales National Park to the west and the North York Moors National Park to the east.

We have 40 pitches of which 36 are yearly, 4 are tourer’s with lovely views over the countryside on a landscaped area beside our family run farm. Our pitches all have hard standing with electric hook-up and have water either directly adjacent or very close by. (Unfortunately, at this time we do not facilitate tents)

Over the last year we have added many new features to the caravan park including a heated toilet block, dishwashing facilities and free WiFi.

To one side of the site is our coarse fishing lake that adds to the picturesque setting and is an added attraction for those who enjoy this relaxing sport.

Our new luxury lodge has two bedrooms one with a double bed and one with a single bed. It also has a luxury wet room and a lovely open plan living area with a dining table . A kitchen with all the amenities and a good sized garden with a luxury hot tub.

Dog Friendly with a large walled garden for pets to be let out. The large luxury hot tub is situated on your own wooden decking with a seated area.

Northallerton, the County Town of North Yorkshire is located 3.5 miles to the east of Canada Fields Caravan Park. Markets are held on Wednesday and Saturday and the town has several supermarkets and many independent shops, restaurants and pubs.

Romanby Golf Club is just 2 miles away. Cycle route 71 passes 1 mile from the site, one way heading towards Northallerton and the other towards Bedale. Bedale is located 8 miles away and is known as “The Gateway to the Dales”.

First time visit

Christie, Peter And Nancy - 11/07/2024

Booked the site earlier in the year in order to visit Northallerton and surrounding areas,On arrival was handed a brochure which was 10 (yes ten) tears out of date. The pitch allocation was on my confirmation (23) and when we eventually found it ( no numbers on same) the alarm bells started to ring!!Small chipped area with limited area for awningToilets were in poor condition and 1 gents shower/ 1 urinal / 1 wc and 1 ladies shower / 2 WC in my opinion is not sufficient for number of vans on the site This, coupled with the fact that several vans looked as if they were permanently sited with storage boxes outside many of them we decided that this was not a site were we wanted to spend our holiday and decided to leave without dropping our van legs.It must be said that the grounds around the small lake were, in general, well maintained A new toilet block is being built but not in operation

Hi Peter,The only thing I can possibly agree with you on is the pitches not numbered which I agree can be confusing. This has now been fixed.I am not sure how a 6x10 metre gravel pitch with a 3x10 metre area of grass can be classed as a small pitch. There is also car parking adjacent to the pitch so that 9x10 metres is just for your caravan and awning. The shower block easily copes because of a lot of our caravans being yearly pitches (not sure what your problem is with seasonal' s and why that is a red flag) but it means all of our pitches are never completely full. As you say new shower block is about 2 weeks off completion so there will be ample. I have to say I feel you didn't give us a chance if you had these feelings after staying a couple of nights then I would take them on board. The way you came in and was incredibly rude to all members of staff it is probably best you didn't stay!!!

Convenient and peaceful

Cowell, David - 13/06/2024

We found the welcome prompt and informative. Our pitch included water and electricity which was more than expected. Toilets were clean tidy although limited in number for size of site but with so many seasonal pitches the loos and shower were not used often. Nice outlook and nature with the lakes. Noisy neighbor in the lodge was a pain it’s loud rave music from morning to night. Maybe higher fees than expected for location but you can see where the extra money goes and worth it.

Great week!

Ridley, Jimmy - 06/06/2024

Really enjoyable week, great support at the beginning of the week with barrier (Off and On again did work! :)Hard stand pitch was great and big enough to meet our needs. Water and electric at pitch was great, I used a tap splitter to maintain a mains. No access to waste on pitch, but short walk to waste area so no issues there! Friendly seasonal pitchers!!!!!

Relaxing 2 night stay in lovely Northallerton.

Wright, Christopher - 02/05/2024

Nice site, very quiet tidy and spacious. Negatives are lack of conveniently located refuse and dog waste bins. Shower blocks could do with modernisation and an increase In number. No grey water disposal area ?

Hi Christopher,Thank you for your review. We are nearly finished building a new shower block to the south side of the site. The grey water disposal area was directly next to the chemical disposal. We are looking into adding extra dog refuse bins and the extra work that comes with it now the main dog walking area doesn't come up near the bins.
