Lovely wooded site with good dog walking paths nearby as well as exercise enclosure on the site. Facilities very clean and the wardens very helpful.

This was our 3rd visit, and we hope to be able to get again around this time next year. It’s lovely, peaceful and our dogs love the enclosed exercise area. The facilities are excellent. spotlessly clean and warm. Everyone is so friendly and helpful.

Very clean friendly quiet site with a fantastic enclosed dog run which is ideally situated to explore both Ashbourne and the surrounding stunning Peak district.

We stayed here for 3 nights, lovely site and friendly staff, it's also the cleanest site we've been too.

First impressions were what a fantastic, well maintained site. The plots are a decent size and well spread out. The facilities were spotless and Mark was so friendly. I wouldn’t hesitate in returning a big thumbs up from me

This is a cracking little adult only site, the ablutions were spotless, and the enclosed dog exercise area is great as it allowed us to let our Husky off the lead.

Took wife and dog for our first visit to woodlands. An attractive well laid out site pitch 12. Water almost to pitch. Electric hook up. Great offlead area for our dog. Great location for peaks derbyshire. Mark recommended the shire horse pub and we were not disappointed both for the ale and the great food. Ice cream was a welcome addition to one of our meals front the office on site. Will return again once the park opens again.

We spent 2 nights here at the end of September. It was meant to be a one night stopover but we had to extend our stay due to family illness and the staff were very helpful. The pitches are spacious and clean, set in amongst trees. Manoeuvring on to the pitch was tricky as we don’t have a motor mover but the staff helped which was much appreciated. The dog walk was great. Full enclosed with trails in the trees and very safe. There is a note to advise owners to wait until the area is empty in case other dogs are reactive. Our dogs loved the dog area and it was great to be able to exercise them safely off lead.We loved our stay and will definitely be back. If you want entertainment, shops in walking distance and lots of company then this is not the place for you. If you want peace, spotless modern facilities and a safe space for your dogs then this is a great find. The only drawbacks were a bit of road noise which didn’t disturb us inside and the difficulty getting on to pitch.

Toi.et and shower facilities were spotless. Washing machine and tumble dryer provided very reasonably priced. The hosts, Mark and Janice were very friendly, providing lots of local information including walks from the site. Would we stay afsin? 100% YES. We just wish we had found it before.
