A lovely park to stay at

A pretty park surrounded by woods, great for kids to play in and dog walkers. Plenty of different walks and two friendly pubs nearby. A decent play area for children. The park is on a hill and some grass pitches were on a slope but most of the hard standings were fairly level. While we were there (April) the showers were free which was a nice bonus. We arrived from the top of the hill and I found the roads narrow with parked cars, however on leaving we were directed to turn left down the hill and found those roads better for the caravan. Two negatives, it was April and half the toilets were out of order, couldn’t this have been fixed over winter? And leaving the park at the barrier the hardcore had moved and made for an excessively rough exit, a bit of TLC with a rake would have soon rectified this problem. Overall a nice park and we will probably return

Needs some money spending......

Having visited here last year I feel that the park has gone downhill. I imagine that the past 12 months have been a busy time due to covid meaning that many people have been holidaying in this country of abroad. This has obviously meant that some of the facilities have had a lot of use. It does not however mean that it is acceptable for the facilities not to have been kept up to standard. Some examples of what I am talking about. In the gents bathrooms there were 8 lights. Only 3 of these were working, so the area with the showers was pretty much In Darkness comma making having a shower after sundown pretty tricky! Also in the gents bathroom there are areas of the floor where the floorboards are giving way. This is something that needs to be sorted soon before it becomes a real health and safety hazard. We did ask one of the cleaners about the lights it's and we were told that they were waiting for an electrician to come onto site! I could have changed the light bulbs myself if I had a ladder! An electrician is really not required. So, to conclude I feel that at the park needs to spend some money on bringing the facilities back up to the level they were last year. The site is lovely with a great location and really peaceful, it just needs a bit more caring attention.
