We love it. Our dogs love it, especially the exercise area. The facilities are excellent. Lovely and warm and spotlessly clean. The Managers are very friendly and always willing to help. It’s so peaceful. We chill out and watch the wildlife. We are already looking forward to next years visit.
Nice woodland setting with lots is space between pitches, very clean shower block.
Accessibility, location, staff, facilities, all 5*Spent 4 nights here with the caravan, no frills but a beautiful natural woodland setting. The sun was shining for 3 days and then storm Babet arrived. Impossible to tow home when we had to leave so we were able to leave the caravan there and return two days later when the rain had stopped. The staff couldn’t have been more helpful. Yes there is a busy main road nearby, sometimes you can hear it sometimes you can’t, but mainly the noise at night consists of owls and then more owls. Loved it can’t wait to be back.
We stayed Friday-Sunday and had the most relaxing time. We arrived late evening and was shown to our pitch. The site is beautiful, looking out of the caravan to see the trees all around us was the perfect way to wake up each morning. The site has a secured fenced forest area for the dogs to run off lead - it was brilliant for our two dogs who can’t usually go off lead. The site has lots of wonderful walks from it - we will be exploring more of the area next time we stay. The toilets and showers were extremely clean. We had a wonderful stay and we are looking forward to coming back.
WOW thank you so much for the 5* award & your very kind comments. We are pleased you enjoyed your stay with us & I'm sure you will enjoy future visits.
Good site and host, the showers could do with being hotter although they are warm, the power is an issue as it keeps tripping although it it in a forest.I would recommend a visit its just we don't go back to any site twice.
Thank you for your review, your comments have been noted. The temperature of the showers is pre-set through a thermostatic mixer valve to ensure every customer is kept safe and not scolded by hot water. We notice that you booked on-line through our website where it clearly states the electric supply to each pitch is 10amps. This is also stated in our welcome leaflet you were given upon arrival. A 3kw fast boil kettle that you use at home, will trip the electrics. We cannot increase the amperage supply to the park. The vast majority of customers appreciate this and use a low wattage kettle which may take an extra few minutes to boil. This choice enables the heating and/or other appliances to be kept on whilst preparing a hot drink!
Washroom facilities really clean and well looked after. Wardens very friendly take pride in site
Cleanliness of facilities, friendliness of staff and other campers.
We had arranged a 3 night stop just outside Bakewell and at the last minute my partner managed to get another day off. We decided to stay elsewhere on the extra night and from the reviews we saw on the website, decided to book at Woodland. We arrived at approx 1pm and were greeted by Mark who showed us to our lovely pitch amongst the trees. My partner went to use the facilities and came back saying that they were outstanding with little touches like hand lotion in the washrooms which were spotless. Reception had local maps for sale and small homemade trinkets. We set up for our stopover and being a biker myself, set off on the short walk to Darley Moor race circuit and were treated to some excellent racing, cup of tea and an ice cream. We later returned back to Woodland for our evening meal and sat outside listening to the birds and watching the squirrels scampering around. We packed up next morning and left after talking to Mark and once again praising the site facilities. Definitely
We had a lovely weekend, everyone was very helpful and the site and facilities were kept very clean.
Had a great stay friendly. clean. Spacious dog friendly brilliant area for dog walking. Darley moor over the road.
