Nice site, too noisy with traffic and day visitors to paying guests! Not enough showers for campers. Only two where we were situated and three toilets! Although they were lovely they ran out of toilet paper and hand soap, which in m in opinion is a basic requirement…. Not as bad site but pricey. I’ve stayed on far better at half the price!

I really want to gatekeep this place because it’s so lovely!! We stayed in our campervan on a gravel pitch for 1 night as we are local and we are new to camp life we wanted to see how our dog was with it. The camp is gorgeous it’s not massive which I loved because you never too far away from the facilities. The showers, toilets and washing facilities are stunning even the little home touches are really nice. The check in was so simple the site barrier registers you reg and you head straight to your pitch it’s as easy as that. The food was gorgeous from the food truck and the park was a hit with our daughter, the dog walking path with our dog was great in the morning you can see lots of bunnies and other wildlife about. Everyone at the camp was very respectful. There is lots to do outside the camp as it’s not far from Southport, formby beach, Liverpool etc. At night the camp was so quiet and I had the best sleep. I would 1000% stay here again and we are looking at booking again.

I chose hardstanding pitch 23, which was close to the shower block, because of the area alongside (we have a dog) and the amount of sunshine we could get. We got the sunshine but not the area as there was a sewage station in that area, that two guys came to service at 08:05 one morning. Not pleasant! Also, the bins were at the shower block so you had the constant clatter of bin lids falling. In reality, this pitch should not be made available. We booked for a two-week stay but left two days early mainly because after visiting Liverpool (which was fantastic), Southport numerous times (which is a great place also but a good hike in if you want to walk) and a couple of events in the area which we hadn't visited before, we kind of ran out of places to go that were dog-friendly.The surprising thing was it is a big site with walks and areas for kids to play but at peak Summer, the site was never any where near full, even at weekends. It appeared to be used by people as a stop-off

Enjoyed our stay here with our grandson. The site was well maintained and the toilet facilities very clean. Staff were friendly and helpful.

Easy to find close to a lovely beach and sandhills Shower block in old mobile huts ok. Only two shower cubicles in new block which everybody wanted to use so very busy Rubbish that had been blown around the site did not get picked up while we were there Road traffic noise was constant Site very busy at weekend sThe static site looked very well kept and the coffee van was very good
