The people there are amazing, so welcoming and friendly yet still professional. The grounds are immaculate and very well kept. The roads and paths are really weak designed, such a refreshing change. All the facilities are immaculate too, can’t think of a single negative.Thank you all so much for a perfect break.
On the whole we enjoyed our 6 day stay at Donkey creek, however it was marred by two families who pitched up opposite us and let their kids play around blow their motorhome horn on both the Friday and Saturday evenings without being challenged. I know this disruptive behaviour affected other campers as well as I have read a recent review from one of them. Fortunately the families went on Sunday so the site went back to being a relaxing place. The children in question, were also allowed to ride around the site unsupervised while vehicles and caravans were being driven on site. The site has rules which relate to safety, noise and supervision of children and in fairness, most people are respectful and compliant with the rules , unfortunately there are those that need to be told to check their behaviour and this did not happen because there were no staff members on site during the evenings. We would stay again but not at weekends or during school holidays.
Thank you for your review.I am sorry your weekend was disrupted, please in future make us aware of any problems that occur as soon as possible.I can assure you staff are on site during the evening, but can only deal with problems that are brought to their attention or they witness. We pride ourselves in being a peaceful site, but weekends and school holidays can be busy.We look forward to welcoming you again.
clean, well laid out site with excellent facilities and friendly staff.Strange to say but the airstrip that is right next to the site is actually very interesting. You can watch jets land and take off at close quarters and we were fortunate to see a fighter jet (typhoon?) which was spectacular. The flights were all during the day so no disturbed sleep!!it is a fairly short walk to Freckleton village where there are a number of places to eat.Well worth a visit, we would definitely recommend and we will return.
Well maintained site.Immaculate shower block.Spacious hardstanding pitches.Good shop that stocks all the basics. If you like gin they sell the local Lytham gin which has to be tasted.Good for plane spotters adjacent euro fighter testing runway of BAE systems. Local towns of Lytham,Kirkham , Fleetwood, Blackpool etc Thats it .Good site.
lovely clean , quiet site. close to village for pubs and shops.
Donkey creek was a lovely quiet site with nice walks around, lovely pubs on the doorstep and the staff were always nice and polite and happy to help. Facilities were always spotless aswell as the grounds.
Always make you welcome and helpful, good size pitches and immaculate shower block, pubs near by and also Always a great welcome and helpful, bus stop not too far away into Blackpool or Preston, will be back.
Lovely kept site very clean good field to walk dogs. Spacious plots .The only complaint I could say is that there is only two toilets in the mens toilet block for the whole site which in my opinion isn't enough when site is busy .Apart from that a lovely site which I thoroughly enjoyed
Lovely warm, well turned out toilet and shower block, easy access to site, welcomed by lovely staff, quiet location with local pubs, serving real ales and food
