We love staying here, great location.

No complaints about the site and the facilities, perfectly adequate, but we had to amend (shorten) our booking when my wife was offered a hospital appointment at short notice (there's a suspicion that she has cancer). The guy on site said we would likely get a refund, but I've heard nothing

Staff were very friendly and helpful. The site was clean and tidy and peaceful. Would definitely recommend.

Lovely 4 days a bonus was the beautiful weather Very easy to arrive and take yourself to chosen pitch ,very different to not have one to one with staffFacilities very clean ,water in washing up area never very hot Overall a very nice site and will come again

Our first visit to this site and we weren't disappointed. Well laid out pitches amongst trees and wildflower areas. It's a great location for Ainsdale Beach and close to the lovely town of Formby.The only reason I didn't give 5 stars was the portacabin showers. They were difficult to control so either freezing or scalding. I do appreciate that these are temporary whilst the shower block is being refurbished. That said, the shower block us spotless and the whole site is very well maintained.We will definitely come back. Thanks

Will definitely stay again but as I am currently on crutches it was really hard getting in and out of the tiny temporary toilets. My husband is 6ft 5” and had the same problem! For some reason the disabled toilet was always locked and I could have enquired but as we were only there 3 days I never bothered. There are loads of trees and the site is beautiful and very well kept - saw rabbits playing over on the quiet field. There is also an amazing looking children’s play area. We were pitched in the gravel area not next to the road and found it really quiet and hardly heard any noise at night. Very conveniently situated site for exploring the area and easy to find. Once the toilet block refurbishment is over in the summer we will definitely be back. Love the number plate check-in and barrier operation as it made life so easy to come and go.

Great walks clean site well organised.

This park was immaculate. You could tell that it was well looked after from the cleanliness of the facilities. There are some improvements taking place but it did not take away from the overall experience. Showers and toilets are portacabin’s but they had all that you could require and clean throughout. There was a park for the children (which we didn’t have) also a dog walk area which was down the side of a little brook. We found it pretty peaceful other people’s reviews mentioned some road noise but we slept like logs. The pitches were spacious and flat.Formby Ainsdale and Southport all very local and could be accessed by bus just outside the park and down to the main road. There is also a convenience shop about 10 min walk towards Southport. Had a great couple of days

We have been going to Willowbank for years. The new systems are much improved, booking in is now by ANPR and does not require a fob nor do the toilets, much better. There is plenty of space on the site and a choice of pitches. It is in easy reach of Southport , Liverpool, Preston and Manchester. There are some great walks and safe cycling routes within yards of the site.They are upgrading the toilet block at the moment and they have put up temporary cabins. They are spotless and warm. It may put people off if it is their first visit but although they look odd, they are spotless and functional.We have always found this a friendly site. The childrens play area is well away from vans and does not cause a problem..
