Absolutely fabulous site, best we have stayed on in 3 years of motorhomeing. Owners very helpful and freindly. Good value . Showers and toilets very goodPitches well spaced. Only approx 26 pitches therefore a quiet site. Owner keeps the site tip top condition and wildlife freindly. Owner has a herd of Alpacas, approx 8 chicken Pond with gold fish and carp, owls in the barn. Wild fowl in another pond.Only small issue is access as the road is single track fir approx 3/4 mile with only a few passing places

What a lovely pieceful site just what the doctor ordered. There was no road noise to wake you up which was really bonus, facilities where really clean and the added touch’s by the owners where nice, the dog walk around the field down by the river was lovely even tho we don’t have a dog. WiFi was good and the pitches were very big. Lovely walk into Pickering to have a wound around with a few pubs to taste the local beer. Plenty to do in the area but only there for 3 full days so need to return and do more.

this has to be one of the best sites for caravan and motorhomes, the site is very clean and quiet a very good dog walk that is mowed regularly,I must admit we find it very difficult to put into words just how good this site is, I also like the fact you only pay for the amount of electricity you use not a set amount like most sites, if you don't try this site you will never know what your missing.

This is such a beautiful place has a lovely walk with alpacas and wildlife plenty of space well done Westgate Carr farm will see you soon

Well what can I say ? I am 69 my sister 73 we have camped for many years but our stay at Westgate Carr was something else .Our weekend stay was perfect ,the first thing is the cleanliness of this place firstly the toilets and showers are immaculate,the site is so well kept and looked after with pride , no children allowed was perfect for us as grandparents who are on hand all year round so the weekend break was perfect.The personal spaces are enormous we had 3 family tents and had all the camping space to ourselves, the farm animals were so lovely, alpacas so cute , cow's grease,owls fish, the orchards I could go on forever .the dos and don't rules of this place are what keeps it as great as it is and the owners are and should be so proud of what they have . We would definitely recommend staying here if you like tranquility, relaxation and walking .well done to all who run Westgate Carr farm ❤️

Just a delightful site, away from road noise although close enough to be accessible. Such a peaceful site that is kept to an extremely high standard. Immaculately manicured dog walk, which everyone respects and keeps clear. A great base to explore from.

A charming and very quiet cottage in Pickering, yet centrally located. Very close to the steam train and with many dining options nearby in Pickering. Very tastefully decorated and well-equipped. However, we missed some salt and a few other basic food items (spices, oil, sugar, tea) which are usually provided in other cottages.

Had a great stay here ,nice local village the steam train is very close by to access other villages, site was well kept and clean ,showers great Dog walk was amazing having 3 dogs there was lots of space Top top the break the weather was fantastic

It was a really lovely place to stay. The cottage was super comfortable and both bedrooms having en suite bathrooms was a real bonus - unusual in a cottage of that age. Very well set out and spotlessly clean.The location is on a well travelled road but that is not an issue and the parking permit was a huge bonus. It was easy to pull up just across the road to decant our luggage before parking up. Pickering itself has everything you need and is a great base for exploring the North Yorkshire Moors.Just as some constructive criticism to improve things for future guests - we were disappointed with the outside space. The steps and both terraces were lovely spaces but really needed some tlc. It didn't feel like somewhere we could relax, it was quite run down, the hedges needed cutting and lots of pots with weeds in. Also, we couldn't use the kettle as it was so full of limescale.Thank you for allowing us to stay - we really did enjoy ourselves there.
