Dave and Karen offer an amazingcsite to stay. The site is so relaxing and the surroundings are fantastic. The site is spotless and shows how much attention to detail the owns have put in to make this place fantastic. We will be returning as soon as possible as we really enjoy the feeling of piece and quiet. The lack of light pollution around the site at night is a joy. Those nights with no cloud cover offers star gazing and the walk around the field to the river is so nice. Don't really wish to go on about how good Westgate Carr Farm is. It will become difficult to book in next time. Definitely a must to stay here.

This was my second visit here, and again it was amazing. The hosts were fantastic, only saw Dave this time but so helpful. Clean quiet and a perfect place for relaxation. On the doorstep to many walking places and plenty of places to visit. Great dog walking route around the fields meeting the Alpacas on route. Would highly recommend

Lovely, cosy cottage - better than we'd anticipated and hoped. Very comfortable and well appointed. Delightful surprise that the Christmas decorations remained. The welcome package was generous and well thought out. These surprises took our stay to another level! Great location for exploring the area. Easy access to lots of lovely places or stroll around the town. The steam engines passing by across the road were utterly delightful. (You might want to think about a thick door curtain for the front door in winter time - negative temperatures at night meant there was quite a bit of a draft and you must be losing heat there.)We have to come back in the summer to complete our exploration of the railway - would have no hesitation in booking another stay in Trackside Holiday Cottage

After a deceptively long drive of about a mile you get to Westgate Carr Farm. The reception is great, lovely people and a perfectly kept site welcome you on arrival. Spacious, level pitches make setting up easy and the facilities on site are always clean. Adults only means a peaceful stay at any time of the year. It serves as a perfect base for visiting the surrounding areas with walks and views in abundance.

Top class site, owners very friendly and accommodating

We come every year it’s a beautiful clean adults only site with a lovely walk with lovely scenery and lots of animals.

The site is beautiful situated about a mile out of Pickering in open countryside with the most stunning sunsets that you are ever likely to see. The site is immaculately clean and well kept, the pitches are large and well spaced with a lovely walk down to the river, excellent for walking the dog. Dave and Karen are absolutely brilliant nothing is too much trouble for them they will do anything in their power to make your stay as enjoyable as possible. The people of Pickering are so friendly and helpful and the atmosphere in the town leading up to Christmas was fantastic, with a silver band playing on the main street and the train station was beautifully decorated with the steam santa express taking visitors up into the North Yorkshire Moors.

Been to Westgate Carr farm for years and as usual always a fantastic time.Karen & Dave do there very best to ensure everything goes smoothly,and this Christmas was no exception…10/10 👍

We had a lovely stay at Westgate Carr Farm, lovely friendly hosts and a spotlessly clean site with great amenities. The toilet/shower facilities were easily the cleanest I have ever seen on any campsite. It’s about 30 mins walk into Pickering down a quiet unlit track so bring a torch if you intend to walk back in the evening, we got a taxi back which was about £7 and the info pack has a list of take always that deliver to site.we ordered a pizza which was delivered in 30 mins on a Saturday night which was great service.The owner’s (Dave and Karen) son (Josh) has a caravan/motorhome repair/servicing business and he adjusted our MoHo door while we were there, for a very reasonable price. All in all a great place to stay, highly recommended.

We had a lovely stay at the beginning of December, great hosts, well kept site and great for us with 1 mile dog walk. The alpacha’s were a great see. Good services pitch and clean facilities.The site is a great location for accessing Hutton le hole, Helmsley, Goathland and beyond .
