I have been to this site 3 times now and it’s great. Fantastic location, great facility’s , great dog walk, walking distance to Pickering town centre and close to lovely villages . What’s not to like? I’ll be there again in the near future.

Excellent site with great hosts in a immaculate setting with all the facilities you would need for a peaceful break in the countryside,this was our second visit and will be returning later in the year, well worth adding to your list of campsites to visit 5star

This site has to be the best I have stayed on in the UK. The facilities are excellent and immaculately clean. The site is very well maintained and the pitches are large and level. The hosts are very welcoming and helpful. Its ideally located out of the way but within easy reach of so many places to visit such as east coast towns and historic market towns.

I love staying at Westgate Carr Farm, whether it's with my husband and spaniel or for a solo break. Karen and David have put so much thought and care into creating and maintaining this beautiful site and are so friendly and welcoming it's always a real pleasure. Pitches are well spaced and the facilities are always clean and in good condition, I can also confirm after several stays, standards do not drop, whether it is high or low season. It has the best onsite dog walk, level walking around fields and by the river, which David maintains regularly on his trusty tractor. It is within easy reach of lots of places to visit including the coastal towns, but for me, nothing beats watching the alpacas and the wildlife. Sitting with a cuppa by the ponds watching the moor hen chicks was a real treat last week and I also had the pleasure of watching the barn owl hunting for breakfast. The site is in a dark skies area so good for a spot of star gazing and if you are especially lucky aurora!

Hardstanding which keeps your caravan and equipment clean. Once you have connected your water , drainage and electricity, there is nothing more to do but empty your toilet cassette at the end of your stay. The facilities are first class, and cleaned regularly. Access to the site is clearly signposted, and the site is ideally situated for visiting the East Coast and North Yorks Moors, as well as the town of Pickering itself. Dave and Karen are excellent hosts and nothing is too much trouble.

Immaculate and very friendly

Great adult only site located on the edge of Pickering. Peaceful, relaxing. Fully serviced pitches, spotlessly clean showers and toilets. The owners are lovely. On site walk beside stream and alpaca fields. Absolutely lovely. My favourite campsite by far.

2nd time staying at Westgate farm can’t think of anything negative to say about it adults only fantastic dog walk very clean and very peaceful will definitely be back again.

The owners are very welcoming, helpful and always around. The site is immaculate and set up very thoughtfully, even down to the music in the toilet. The pitches are well looked after with water and electric. Nice to only pay for what you use. A very peaceful site, perfect for star gazing and the farm eggs are a bonus. This is an ideal base fore exploring the surrounding area. The North Yorks railway is just a walk away. Local restaurant deliver to the gate. Thank for the perfect weather!
