Rosedale Abbey Caravan Park is set in a stunning location on the North Yorkshire Moors and provides a wide variety of self-catering accommodation to suit all your needs. Under new ownership, the site is well-run with superb site facilities. Whether you want to pitch a tent, park up your caravan or motorhome, or you fancy a bit of glamping in one our pods by the river.

We have a range of Hard Standing Pitches with Electric Hook-Up suitable for Touring Caravans, Motorhomes and Campervans. We also have a large number of Grass pitches suitable for Tents. For the Easter holidays we also have a range of Grass pitches with Electric available for Touring Caravans, Motorhomes and Campervans. We have 6 Glamping Pods available for short breaks between March and October.

We have 5 Holiday Cottages, one suitable for couples only and the others accommodating up to four people, available for both short breaks, and weekly stays (Monday and Friday arrival days only).

We have 8 Family Pods located in a beautiful area of the Park, The Meadow. Six of the Pods are located next in a peaceful and tranquil spot next to the river, the other two, our most recent additions, are located in a sunny spot on the opposite side of the field.

The pods include a heater, lights and a 10 amp electric supply. They also have a generous decking area with a picnic table outside. And there is free access to our underfloor heated shower and toilet blocks. Our Pods do not contain beds or bathrooms, are completely empty and you need to bring all your usual camping equipment – except for your tent!

Lovely and peaceful, the pitches were spacious and adequate.1 suggest is to create another shower block in between the existing 2 as I’d expect them to be busy in high season.Very friendly and helpful staff and the pub is only 50yrds from the site which is a bonus Suggest to go to the Butterwick Alpaca trek centre for an amazing experience at a very reasonable price ( only 20 mins away)

We have stayed here before and had a fantastic time. The cottages had everything we needed and were spotless. The pubs were fantastic and i would definitely recommend the area to anyone who wants to come here.

Great site, friendly and helpful reception staff and well stocked (but expensive) shop and good documentation.The area nearer the entrance was mainly occupied by families and this is how it should be. Mixing older people with these lively families is questionable and there was a large group with many children running free until quite late. There were picnic benches provided for the site, but these were grabbed for the exclusive use of certain pitches and even BBQ's were set up on them!I did not find a specific area that I could exercise my dog, so I walked off site to the main road.Only minor comments really, you did ask?My main worry about the site was there was a drone (or drones) used at dangerous speeds and heights on the camping area and hovering over pitches. Issues of safety and privacy. I could not see who was controlling the drone or I would have challenged them. Are they allowed on the site?I look forward to booking in later in the year.Mike Taylor

Beautiful smart site. Really tidy with all the grass cut neatly. We stayed in a pod which was clean, warm and spacious. The toilet block was nice and warm with immaculately clean toilets & showers. Access tracks all well kept. Nicely set out with plenty of trees and shrubs and the stream babbling by. Also very good value for the pod which also had a handy deck with table and parasol

Having stayed at Rosedale previously in the cottages, and now owning a caravan, we thought we would give the caravan site a go.Booking on line was simple and straightforward, I sent an e-mail before booking, which was answered the very next day.We arrived to a warm welcome and was directed to our pre booked, fully serviced pitch, which had plenty of space for our car, caravan, awning and room for our dog fence.The site has magnificent views all around. The facilties are kept clean and tidy, and the site was maintained to a very good standard, and is also dog friendly.The on site shop sells the essentials needed for a stay along with calor gas. ANPR gates control entrance to the site, which gives confidence that it is nice and secure.I have shared our experience on a Facebook group as a recommendation which has recieved over 165 likes and multiple comments and questions from people now wanting to stay there.Highly recommended and we will definitely be returning.I
