Had peaceful stay, always kept clean and tidy, lovely dog walk on the site,

It is a very quiet well maintained, spacious site. With it's dark sky status the sunsets are amazing, the dog walk down to the river is excellent and watching the barn owls searching for food at dusk is a real treat, this is a wildlife haven. The site owners are very welcoming, friendly and nothing is to much trouble. The toilets and showers are immaculate, the pitches are huge and many trees have been planted to enhance the site. The site is within easy walking distance of Pickering, the home of the North Yorkshire Moors Railway, Pickering is a lovely town with a wonderful array of individual shops and places to eat.

Have visited this site several times, at different times of year and it does not disappoint. Llamas love you, horses too. Alfie the dog, Sooty the cat, even the chickens (as long as you feed them!) If you ignore them, they will ignore you. Despite being a working farm, site is immaculate. Hard standing pitches with grass surround and table and bench set next to each one. Grass mown every few days during the growing season. Facilities block immaculate, even has seperate disabled toilet and wet room! Just returned from our latest visit which is the first outing this year. It was the first time since the electric meters were installed. Not good with new systems but it was so easy. Prepaid on booking and refund on leaving. Night sky is awesome. The stars are so visible! Easy access to Ripon, Thirsk and East Coast (Scarborough, Whitby, Bridlington) . Would recommend this site to everyone!!

The site is located close to the town of Pickering with easy access to the North York Moors and surrounding areas, Very quiet site with lots of dark sky views, Immaculately kept grounds and facilities, Pitches are a good size and have great space between the next unit. Reception is always pleasant, welcoming and informative. There are lots of dog walking areas close by.Yes you have to pay for electricity upfront but any unused units are returned to you after you leave . Only a 10 Amp hook up which can sometimes be tripped due to the modern vans using a higher drain but if you're careful not an issue.

Had a lovely couple of nights at Westgate Carr Farm. This site is outstanding. In a lovely picturesque spot with open views across the fields. The pitches are generously spaced out with beech edges separating them. The toilet block is spotlessly clean with a separate disabled shower room. The owner is very welcoming and on arrival provides a comprehensive pack detailing the site facilities and details of the local area including pubs and restaurants. I would highly recommend.

The campsite was very well cared for - spacious pitches, eco friendly, clean facilities and peaceful. The area for dog walking was lovely. The new electric system was brilliant and a refund received so only paid for the amount we used. Well worth a visit!

Beautiful location, peaceful, fully serviced, shower block immaculate, pay what you use electric - brilliant idea, hosts so welcoming. Lovely mile walk around fields with beck at bottom where we saw a kingfisher, 4 buzzards and a white egret! Nice walk into pickering spotting trout on the way at the waters edge at the side of the lane, cant wait to return
