Arrived at the campsite just me on my own with the 2 kids to be welcomed by the most lovely woman I can only assume is the owner. She talked me through the campsite an engaged in conversation with my daughter about nature. Absolutely beautiful human being. We arrived on the riverside camping field set up an enjoyed some fishing. There is a guy who comes around on his quad to check all is ok he was absolutely lovely also again fully engaging in conversion with my boy. We really enjoyed the stay an will 100% be back. Thankyou Ty-isaf. This is exactly what I was looking for in a campsite!!!

A good place to set up for north Wales, we used the site to visit the white water centre, at £10 per person per night , great value.

It's a friendly, family run site, close to Bala and, more importantly Canolfan Tryweryn. I always use the site when I'm in the area.

Great facilities and value

We have visited since 2007 on and for so many years the family are wonderful and have helped us on at least two occasions once when the battery is flat on the car. It’s just a fantastic spot we stayed down by the river . It’s close to wild camping as you can get while feeling like no one‘s gonna come and shout at you and being able to take some extra bits, like minded people looking for nature and peace and quiet and beauty views. I stayed on the riverside camping field, this is a basic field so best if your self sufficient. There is a portaloo in the field and you can bring aBBQ to cook on. There is a bridge to get through to the camping field, but was not an issue for my VW Crafter high roof. Whilst this is a basic field it was beautiful and as close to wild camping as it gets, whilst still having all the facilities of a large campsite just up the road.I have to say this was an amazing spot and big enough to be out of the way of other campers.The staff are amazing and nothing was to much trouble, big shout out to Leonie, for being such a big help and accommodating to all my changes.Can't wait to come back...

Well what a little gem of a campsite, plenty of room for everyone and great space for our young grandsons to play . From start to finish the welcome and offer of help if needed was great . The facilities just what you need , so clean and tidy and the showers are free . It's a working dairy farm but this does not impact on your stay at all .. the location is easy to get to and still close to bala itself. So peaceful looking at the hills.. and if your lucky you get a little free air show .Really enjoyed our stay .

Relativity quiet, we were the only tent and van in the field for 2 nights, facilities are fine with showers and toilets. Great base for visiting other parts of Wales as well as boating activities on Bala lake
