Glanllyn Caravan Park is situated in a prime position on the shore of Wales's largest natural lake, in the beautiful Snowdonia National Park. Glanllyn Caravan Park is a small , family run touring park, which has been run by the same family for over 50 years. A warm friendly welcome awaits you.

For water sports enthusiasts we have our very own private shingle beach with easy launching area for windsurfing, sailing, kayaking, fishing and paddle boarding. If wild swimming is your thing, Bala lake offers a tranquil, breath-taking mountain backdrop.

The park has 16 acres of level natural parkland with mature trees and spectacular views of nearby hills and mountains make it an idyllic spot to pitch a caravan, motorhome, tent or campervan with a choice of level grass or hardstanding pitches.

Our facilities for caravans, campervans, tents and motorhomes include a 16amp electric hook up (if campervan has booked an electrical pitch. Included in caravan / motorhome pitch price).

We also provide level grass pitches and campers at Glanllyn Caravan Park always have direct and private access to Llyn Tegid / Bala Lake.

We have a designated dishwashing area as well as an eco- friendly biomass heated amenity blocks offering FREE hot all-day showers, basins and WC’s

We have a quality WiFi service (fee payable to Camping Connect)

A designated dog walking area is provided and a well stocked shop sells all of your camping essentials, groceries, woodfire/ charcoal/ Calor gas.

There is an abundance of activities and things to do for guests of all ages. We have a children’s play area, boat launch site, and fishing facilities right by the river/lake.

A coin operated laundry facility is on hand for your convenience as is separate disabled toilet and shower facility/ baby changing facilities.

We have drinking mains water points throughout the site, and ice block service and our site has security and safety at heart with our CCTV system and barrier security

Guests can also make use of hair dryers, chemical disposal points, motorhome service points, our waste and recycling area and an electric car charging point.

Wood fired pizzas can be purchased on busy weekends and are always a firm favourite of our returning guests.

Our site is extremely accessible for every guest, with a bus stop by the caravan park entrance and a direct footpath/ bicycle path into Bala town.

We offer on-site paddle boarding lessons/ hire and guests can also hire a fire pit from us for some evening hang outs around the campfire.

For those wishing to explore further afield, Glanllyn is centrally located on the border between North and Mid Wales, within easy reach to some of the major attractions of the area.

Great location on the lakeside.We had a pet so welcomed the large exercise field.Although more doggie bins around the site would be good.Grass needed a lower cut around the site, but overall clean site, welcoming staff .

We loved our stay and cant wait to return. We were lucky with the weather and enjoyed a weekend paddle boarding on the lake. Easy access from all pitches. Facilities were perfect and plentiful.

...then you'll love this site. Whilst the park grounds may appear pretty bland, they do abut the lake, and that's the biggest appeal about this site. Having said that, we found the amenities blocks to be extremely clean (visited early September) with great showers. They may look a little dated but they serve well. The lady at reception (Meg's daughter-in-law) was absolutely lovely; friendly, approachable, informative. A 'grafter', as we say across the channel, who carefully and mindfully balanced her many roles. The shop, which being end of season was actually running down it's stock, was still well-stocked and whilst opening times were limited, this was an asset to the park. We understood that the bus service, advertised as being right outside the park, was nolonger in operation - but if you stand at the stop anyway & flag the bus down, they'll pick you up! Park could benefit from an additional path from the amenities block, straight across to the riverside pitches...please :)

Lovely access to lake ideal for water sports, gets very busy at weekends as there are lots of seasonal pitches at this site and they are crammed in. Facilities were adequate and clean but would struggle if the site is at full capacity. Main issue is that there are very few walks from the site, access to the lake both sides of the camp site are private and no access so you cant walk around the lake. The main walk is next to the main road which does drop down to the lake after about 1 1/2 but the road is so fast and busy.

Brilliant site that is kept to a high standard with clean toilets and shower blocks, showers had hot water when used . Friendly staff ,Absolutely a must if your into your watersports or as a base camp
