A lovely site, set amongst the trees and very close to the lake. Very well kept. As the site is quite large and with very little lighting you would need a torch as there's only one toilet block. The dog exercise area was a great addition for letting our Husky burn of some energy.

I was very please with all about camp, was very organised which I liked and very clean, staff where very friendly definitely come back next year and all my family enjoyed are stay

I have been booking glanllyn campsite for the past 4 years and look forward to arriving everytime The staff are very friendly and welcoming and helpful on arrival its all stress free from booking and setting up The site is very clean, good facilities the showers and toilets are kept to high standard and plenty of them The site has its own shop which is very useful I really have nothing negative to say never had issues with fellow campers either its a very respectful site Love that we have access to the lake, miss the guy that use to rent boats but i need to invest in my own kayak or sup however there is a watersports centre not far from the site so not an issue I feel the amount you pay for this site is very reasonable for what you get, its beautiful,scenic and very relaxing and there is no need for you to need to leave the site, they also have food trucks that arrive so no need for needing to go to the town/village unless you wish to as this is also not to far away

I was quite disappointed. The photos online look idyllic, but in actual fact it was very busy and lots and lots of people on top of each other. The access to the lake was good but gravel on the access which was a bit owchie. Should be sand or something softer really. Other campers were a metre away which wasn't great and lots of loud music from other campers. I thought it was quite expensive too. The facilities were clean and the staff were really kind and friendly. We paid for two nights but only stayed for one due to all the many people.

Stayed for 4 nights in August in our caravan with our son and grandsons who were in a tent. Glanllyn were able to allocate us pitches opposite each other, which was very much appreciated. We enjoyed the spacious pitches, views to the surrounding hills, access to the lake for swimming and paddleboarding. Daily low level flypassess by fighter jets were amazing. Off site we enjoyed whitewater rafting a few miles away and a day at the seaside at Barmouth.

Clean showers and toiletsPark is lovely with great access to the lakeLots of kids playing which was good for usOnly dislike was the 1030 curfew wasn’t followed by some.We had noisy neighbours being loud till past 1130, then on the other side we could hear noise and laughter in the camper van. So we struggled to sleep until after midnight, which left us shattered the day after. But that’s us that like quiet I know that can’t be helped by the site.

We visit Glanllyn every year for a family holiday with our dinghy and kayak. Great place to introduce the grandkids to boating. Even though the site was very busy we were given two adjoing pitches. The reception staff are always helpful in satisfying our pitching requirements. The site is busy during the day but invariably quietens at night and we all had good nights sleep. The facilities are good and cleaned regularly, essential when the site is full. Access to the lake is excellent and we had some really good sailing days. On other days we got the bus to Bala and enjoyed a meal and few pints. The shops are welcoming and good for a browse. We have been coming here for over 30 years and see no reason to stop.

This is a lovely site with plentiful and clean facilities, even when the site is full. Great access to the lake. Friendly helpful staff. Premium pitches for vans are great but only 4 available. Only downside is all other pitches are too close together so very little privacy. When busy everyone is a bit on top of each other.

Been coming to glanllyn for seven years now. We always try and get down by the river to watch the kingfishers going up n down the river. The site is well run and clean and the staff are so friendly. Will be going there for many years to come.

Visited for 2 nights and will definitely be returning.Although the site was pretty much full it never felt cramped or crowded. The toilets and showers were always very clean and tidy. Excellent location for the lake and a nice gentle slope into the lake.
