Explore the unparalleled beauty of Snowdonia National Park within our well-appointed, family-friendly site. A warm welcome awaits you at our working hill farm near the small picturesque town of Dolgellau. Our quiet park has grass and hardstanding pitches available with or without electric. Visitors can wake up to a view of the mountains!
Whether you are looking for a relaxing retreat or an adventurous holiday, Llwyn yr Helm is the perfect base for experiencing the raw beauty and thrills of Snowdonia National Park.
Our newly refurbished reception building is an attractive and useful hub for all of our guests. We have comfortable seating for you to relax in while you pour through useful local information, read a book from our book borrowing service, or just enjoy our free reception WIFI to touch base with home and check your emails.
The shelves in our shop stock every day essentials as well as locally sourced produce that we think you may enjoy. We will happily freeze your ice blocks in our freezer at no extra charge.
New in 2020, our centrally located facilities block is nestled within the natural curve of our landscape and consists of disabled/family rooms, male and female showers and toilets, washing-up sinks and chemical waste disposal point. We also have a conveniently located drive over waste disposal point.
There’s nothing worse that trying to dry wet clothes in a tent, so if your day out exploring involves getting wet and dirty, or even if you just want to go home without the washing pile? Our useful laundry has a coin operated washing machine and drier and is open 24 hours a day, throughout the season.
Our characterful touring field extends to four acres, sectioned-off into three separate areas by hedges and traditional Welsh dry stone walls. Each pitch is as unique as the guests that stay with us. We have a combination of electric and non-electric pitches on a variety of hardstanding and luscious grass bases.
Being a family friendly caravan park, we have an outdoor play area to entertain young family members, alongside a small playing field ideal for a family game of football. We also encourage natural play in our nature areas as well as promoting conservation.
Being a working hill farm, we also encourage you to take an interest in our friendly farm animals during your stay. Collect your own eggs for breakfast, feed our pet lambs and watch the playful goats while you learn about the various breeds of animals on the farm.
We pride ourselves on being a dog friendly park and well behaved waggy tailed friends are as welcome as you are. All we ask is that you keep your dogs on a lead within the park and clear up any mess.
We also have a designated dog exercise area within the park and a selection of dog treats and eco-friendly poo bags available to buy at our shop.
Our one bedroom cottage, Beudy Isaf is perfect for couples to enjoy a romantic escape away from it all.
The lounge has a fireplace for those cosy nights, and the ground floor also features a contemporary shower room with a rainfall shower, so you can prepare for those daily adventures at ease.
The kitchen is equipped with an oven, under counter fridge, dishwasher and crockery, so you have everything you need for the perfect getaway.

Nice big pitches and good location for exploring lower North Wales.. The toilet/shower block is one of the best and cleanest I've ever seen. Maria at reception was extremely helpful.. I'd highly recommend Llwyn yr Helm for a stay
A good location with easy access by car to day-out locations. The site has been well thought out. Easy toilet waste disposal, individual waste water drainage & power, dog exercise area, children's rustic playground, small animal farm, good shower & toilet block, laundry and even a facility that sells a few essentials and coffees. Our weather was awful at the time (summer 2024!) but the site's facilities and layout meant our holiday was not spoilt.
We loved our stay here & would absolutely return. Pitches were nicely sized facilities were modern and the best I’ve ever seen at a campsite staff were extremely friendly.
Llwyn-yr-helm look after us so well every year when we use it as base camp for our DofE Gold expeditions. Staff and students appreciate the surroundings and facilities, especially the bathrooms! In particular a HUGE Thankyou to Maria and Paul for always being so helpful and kind and making everything run smoothly :)
This was our first visit to Llwyn-yr-Helm, and although the weather wasn't great the location, staff, and facilities on site more than made up for it.We only booked for 2 nights, basically a pin in the map choice, and if we hadn't prebooked our next stops, would have opted to stay for the rest of the week. The toilet block, pot wash and showers were kept in pristine condition, and are a credit to the staff. We loved the animal farm, pygmy goats were like unruly toddlers, getting up to all sorts of nonsense. The pigs were quite lively the first day, but when we went along the next day they were settling down for a nap after feeding, the look on their faces trying to stay awake was like watching your elderly Aunt after xmas dinner dozing off.We will definitely recommend, may not be back too soon as we are from Fife in Scotland.Keep up the fantastic job you do, it was a pleasure staying on your premises even if it was a bit short lived.
3rd time here and we'll be back again next year. Perfect campsite, great size, great amenities, great location. Really peaceful and relaxing which is just what's required.
Beautiful site with stunning views all around you. Outstanding staff who were always happy to help and guide you to your destination. Outstanding facilities that were always spotless.
Arrived eventually stuck in road works but was well worth it everyone from reception to the guy looking after the site really friendly and helpful the site it's self spotless and the showers spotless they are closed every day for a deep clean and you can tell the reception is also a small shop and place to grab a coffee I will definitely be calling back at least a couple of times a year thank you for making my stay perfect and the views what can I say it's wales beautiful waking up having a coffee looking over the valley 😀.
Always enjoy staying here, everything is great the owners Always welcoming everytime we visit and never had a problem with anything. Will be returning time and time again
