Tudor Caravan Park is a quiet country side park. The park is set in a picturesque location - a short walk away from the world famous Slimbridge Wetlands Centre, right alongside the Gloucester-Sharpness ship canal with the views of the Cotswold Hills in the background.
The park is ideally placed for excellent fishing and easy cycling along the canal towpath. Walkers can enjoy not only the canal but also the Severn Way which runs alongside the park or Cotswold Way 5 miles away. The park offer a variety of Hard Standing Pitches and Grass Pitches with and without electric hook-up.
Adults Only area all year round. This is all hard-standings with electric hook-ups suitable for caravans, motorhomes, camper-vans, and RVs.
The Old Orchard area is an Adults Only area all year round.
This is all hard-standings with electric hook-ups suitable for caravans, motorhomes, camper-vans, and RVs. This area is quieter and more secluded as well as being close to the Orchard amenities block (Please Note: There are a few steps up into the building so it is not suitable for disabled access).
The Orchard is shielded by hedges and has a selection of both old & new apple and plum trees - many of which are local heritage varieties.
Pitch selection incurs a £5 additional charge.
The Meadow has electric hook-ups on both hardstandings and grass pitches and is open all year round. Suitable for all types of tourers and camping.
The Meadow has electric hook-ups on both hardstandings and grass pitches and is open all year round. Suitable for all types of tourers and camping in tents. We keep a large open area in the centre of the meadow so it feels spacious and there is plenty of room for children to play games.
The site has hedging around most of the perimeter with the Gloucester-Sharpness canal running along one side where you may be lucky enough to see a paddle-steamer or the occasional tall ship passing. The Meadow backs onto the canal and has lovely views over the fields towards the Cotswold Hills.
Our main toilet & shower block is centrally located here for easy access.
Pitch selection incurs a £5 additional charge.
Extra-large grass pitches with 16 amp electric hookup. The site is level and has lots of open space on well kept grass.

Staff really polite and helpful Site and facilities all really clean and pleasure to use
A VERY NICE FIRST VISIT. EASY TO FIND, FRIENDLY GREETING AT THE GATE AND EASY DIRECTIONS TO THE PITCH. ALL SERVICES WITHIN EASY REACH. THE WHOLE VISIT WAS STRESS FREE AND WE WILL CERTAINLY RETURN.
Very Good Overhall
Good site and location, very convenient for pub, canal walks, and Slimbridge Wildfowl and Wetland centre. Friendly welcoming staff but site roadway full of potholes and very muddy. Hardstanding pitch we were on also waterlogged and muddy, and would benefit from new/extra gravel or stones.
Thank you for your review and feedback.I am sorry that you had a problem with your pitch, however, the rain fall we have had has been torrential and frequent which has made it not only difficult to drain the pitches because of the very high water table but also to get on them to do any remedial work.We are constantly working to keep the site in good condition, however, this year has been extraordinarily difficult. We hope that you enjoyed your stay despite this.Regards
Nice site clean and well looked after good facilities but not child friendly lots of scope there but no play area for the kids don't understand why as there is lots of room there we enjoyed but the kids were bored as nothing for them
Thank you for taking the time to leave this review. We appreciate the feedback we get from our customers and always try to answer any queries. As a family run park we always encourage imaginative play and have found that, in general, people prefer to have the large open spaces for their children to have the freedom to play in rather than a dedicated play area with age-specific equipment. It’s always great to watch children of all ages mixing and joining in with each other with no waiting to access play equipment and any difficulties this sometimes can cause. There is a lovely park in the village that our visitors are always welcome to use. Please do pop into reception if you visit us again and we can tell you how to get to there.
We've used this campsite a few times en route, and back, from Cornwall. It's great, as close to M5, lovely walks along the canal, handy for exploring Gloucestershire, and a pub right next door for food. It's reasonable food, and staff are friendly! My only gripe is the water disposable point has a brick step up to the drain so you have to drag a full waste master over this to empty it ???? Not good for the back!!
Liked the site and location, staff were friendly and helpful, toilet block was noisy day and night maybe extractor fan? Toilet block was cold when in the shower and weren't very clean in the cubicles along the tiled plinth, there were cobwebs from the velux roof lights and ceiling corners.
Thank you for your review and feedback. The underfloor heating works through out the shower block so it is the same temperature inside the cubicles as outside. We will pop up and check that everything is working at the level that it should be.We do a weekly cobwebbing of the very high Veluxes and ceilings but it is an on-going task. The facility block has been deep cleaned recently and everything is back up to scratch after some staff absence. We do hope we can welcome you back sometime and if you have any issues whilst on site, please do let us know at the time so that we can do something about it rather than finding out in a review when it's too late to rectify for you stay.Kind regards
We stayed at Tudor for a 3 night Bank holiday weekend break, our first ever visit to the site and not to be our last. We had a very pleasant stay, the pitches are a good size and all the amenities were up to an excellent standard. All in all a lovely weekend with the added bonus of the Tudor Arms pub right next door and beautiful walks along the canal in either direction to Gloucester or Sharpness.Highly Recommended
Despite the rain, we had a wonderful stay at the site. It was kept tidy and the facilities were great. The only downside was the constant squawking of the birds in the trees, but you can't stop nature. A beautiful setting for a relaxing break.
Excellent site large grass pitch showers and toilets nice and clean will be returning
