Greenacres is a small family-run campsite. The nature of the site is laid-back and relaxed and we expect that all of our visitors behave considerately to other campers, to ensure everyone has a wonderful camping experience. After all you’re on holiday so you want to have a great time!

The campsite is located a stone’s throw from the iconic Symonds Yat and River Wye attractions, and on the edge of the main forest, so you will never be short of fun things to do.

The local area is well served with shops, pubs, restaurants, attractions and activities for all ages.

The campsite has 17 hard-standing pitches and 23 grass pitches all with electric hook-up. We are open for campervans, motorhomes and caravans but recommend that the larger ones pitch on the hard-standing areas.

Part of having a relaxed and fun camping trip is to have modern campsite facilities at your chosen destination.

At Greenacres, we know what our campers want and have been working hard to develop our family-run campsite over the years. We provide all the essential camping facilities on a relaxed campsite.

Campers of all ages are welcome including your fur babies! There are local walks in the woods and a park, 2 minutes walk away to exercise your dog.

Our family-friendly site has an onsite small play area.

Newland is a two minute drive or a short walk along the old Burial Path to find the Ostrich Pub - a quaint old fashioned English Pub.

Symonds Yat Rock with its amazing views and peregrine falcons is only a short drive away and a 3 mile hike through the woods. The site is well serviced with a public footpath running along its boundary.

Lovely location and good facilities

Stone, Bethan - 13/08/2026

5

Location is excellent and secure, surrounded by countryside but very accessible. Facilities were great and everything very clean. Our children loved the play area. Pizza was convenient. Checking times are good. Excellent for families and our only concern was the amount rules, for example no ball games. Would definitely return and recommend to others.

A Lovely, Relaxing Weekend at Greenacres

Taylor, Daniella - 13/08/2026

5

We’re not experienced campers, but we absolutely loved our stay at Greenacres! The toilet and shower facilities were a real highlight for me - they’re spotlessly clean throughout the day, which made such a difference. The on-site shop is another great touch, offering breakfast and pre-ordered evening meals, so we didn’t need to bring quite so much with us. There’s also plenty to see and do both on-site and in the surrounding area. We’d definitely come back and would happily recommend Greenacres if you’re after a simple, relaxing weekend away.

Our favourite site

5th or 6th stay, twice with family. Grandsons loved the new play area. All facilities are spotless and staff friendly and helpful. Plenty to do off site if you're willing to travel a short distance and the area is beautiful. We love staying at Greenacres and it will be even better when the new access road goes in as the present one is a tad steep and bumpy 😂.

We have stayed at greenacres twice this year. Both times have been very different beginning of July was very peaceful and the beginning of August was louder but it was people enjoying them selves there was people singing and joking which was good to hear. The staff were lovely very friendly and helpful, the facilities were always clean and tidy. The value for money for our stay was brilliant. We visited puzzlewood, hopewell colliery, clearwell caves, butterfly zoo and other things, but there is still so much to see and do, we visited two pubs for food and both were excellent service and food was amazing. We will be going back next year.
