Tudor Caravan Park is a quiet country side park. The park is set in a picturesque location - a short walk away from the world famous Slimbridge Wetlands Centre, right alongside the Gloucester-Sharpness ship canal with the views of the Cotswold Hills in the background.
The park is ideally placed for excellent fishing and easy cycling along the canal towpath. Walkers can enjoy not only the canal but also the Severn Way which runs alongside the park or Cotswold Way 5 miles away. The park offer a variety of Hard Standing Pitches and Grass Pitches with and without electric hook-up.
The Meadow has electric hook-ups on both hardstandings and grass pitches and is open all year round. Suitable for all types of tourers and camping.
The Meadow has electric hook-ups on both hardstandings and grass pitches and is open all year round. Suitable for all types of tourers and camping in tents. We keep a large open area in the centre of the meadow so it feels spacious and there is plenty of room for children to play games.
The site has hedging around most of the perimeter with the Gloucester-Sharpness canal running along one side where you may be lucky enough to see a paddle-steamer or the occasional tall ship passing. The Meadow backs onto the canal and has lovely views over the fields towards the Cotswold Hills.
Our main toilet & shower block is centrally located here for easy access.

The campsite and amenities were fist class, Nicky was very helpfull and found us the ideal pitch which was large and private. All the staff were great and the site/shower block and Motorhome service area was spot on.We loved the location and spent time in Black Shed/pub/fishing and walking the canal.Everyone we met were very friendly and the staff in the Black Shed were great, it was a very inclusive space and had a real social club feel about it where locals and visitors could enjoy the atmosphere.
Lovely stay on electric free field, with group of families we've camped with regularly - nice location near canal and pretty countryside. Very friendly staff team and good facilities and value. Would be useful if there were a few more basic supplies on site (coffee etc).
Thank you for the lovely review and feedback, We are delighted that you enjoyed your stay with us so much and look forward to welcoming you back. We do have coffee/Tea/Sugar etc for sale in reception so hopefully you'll be able find what you need in the future - you're welcome to ask if you can't find something.I hope that helps.Kind regards.
I found the site had everything needed the grass pitch I stayed on was exceptional and very spacious the pub the canal and i would stay longer next time
Well maintained and clean facilities, walking distance to Slimbridge wetlands and a great pub next door.
Great site right near the entrance to Slimbridge. Clean loo blocks and on-site pub.
Site is exceptionally clean and well kept. Staff are friendly and the wash facilities are brilliant. Will definitely return and recommend to friends and family
We found the site immaculately clean, quiet and friendly with stunning walks immediately at hand. The pitch we used was a good size...no complaints there! The area has beautiful old villages to visit within walking distance which offered some lovely old pubs worth visiting. If you want to 'get away from it all' this site needs to be on your list to visit. The one disappointing aspect were the shower blocks. Although when we stayed, like the rest of the site, they were very clean, they're definitely in great need of updating. The water pressure was very low in the block I used and to wash my hair, I literally had my head against the wall to get it wet. The showers have the rather frustrating push buttons which very quickly stop the water. I get that it's to save water, but a little longer on the timer would be good, along with higher water pressure. Sort the shower blocks and you'll have a 5* rating in my opinion. Despite that, we'd probably stay there again!
We stay at Tudor Caravan Park several time a year, usually on hardstanding pitch with grass area, these are generous sized. We stayed on a grass pitch further down the site this time, slightly squarer pitches, still generous size.Facilities are really good, showers and loos. staff always friendly and willing to answer any questions. the Tudor Arms is at the entrance to the site. It has dog friendly areas to. Also on the canal edge is the Black Shed for coffee and cake or a snack or meal.the walk along both ways on the canal is flat.Maybe down the line a shower/loo block down the grassed end of the site might be of help in busy periods.super markets 5/10 mins away in Dursley.enjoy your visit to this site.
We’ve been visiting this site for over six years and genuinely love it, which makes this feedback all the more disappointing to write. Our biggest frustration is the rigid minimum-night stay policy. On this occasion, we simply wanted to stay for one night on our journey to our destination and another single night on the return journey. Unfortunately, we were told this wasn’t possible. As a result, we had to rearrange our entire holiday itinerary and book a two-night stay instead. What made this particularly frustrating was arriving to find more than 40 pitches sitting empty. It’s difficult to understand why one-night bookings can’t be accommodated when there is clearly plenty of availability. The advice from reception was, “We can’t let you book one night at this time, but if you contact us nearer the date, we might be able to accommodate you.” Unfortunately, this isn’t a practical solution when people need to plan and book holidays in advance. We’ve received the same response
Thank you for your review,We understand your frustration with regards to minimum night requirements but this is the only way we can operate efficiently. On some weekends we could book 40 or 50 1 night bookings for a Saturday night and as a result we could be completely empty for the Friday night. This is the only way we can maximize our pitches potential. Ok, this didn't sound like we were busy when you stayed but we don't know in advance when we will be full or not.
