Tudor Caravan Park is a quiet country side park. The park is set in a picturesque location - a short walk away from the world famous Slimbridge Wetlands Centre, right alongside the Gloucester-Sharpness ship canal with the views of the Cotswold Hills in the background.
The park is ideally placed for excellent fishing and easy cycling along the canal towpath. Walkers can enjoy not only the canal but also the Severn Way which runs alongside the park or Cotswold Way 5 miles away. The park offer a variety of Hard Standing Pitches and Grass Pitches with and without electric hook-up.
Adults Only area all year round. This is all hard-standings with electric hook-ups suitable for caravans, motorhomes, camper-vans, and RVs.
The Old Orchard area is an Adults Only area all year round.
This is all hard-standings with electric hook-ups suitable for caravans, motorhomes, camper-vans, and RVs. This area is quieter and more secluded as well as being close to the Orchard amenities block (Please Note: There are a few steps up into the building so it is not suitable for disabled access).
The Orchard is shielded by hedges and has a selection of both old & new apple and plum trees - many of which are local heritage varieties.
Pitch selection incurs a £5 additional charge.
The Meadow has electric hook-ups on both hardstandings and grass pitches and is open all year round. Suitable for all types of tourers and camping.
The Meadow has electric hook-ups on both hardstandings and grass pitches and is open all year round. Suitable for all types of tourers and camping in tents. We keep a large open area in the centre of the meadow so it feels spacious and there is plenty of room for children to play games.
The site has hedging around most of the perimeter with the Gloucester-Sharpness canal running along one side where you may be lucky enough to see a paddle-steamer or the occasional tall ship passing. The Meadow backs onto the canal and has lovely views over the fields towards the Cotswold Hills.
Our main toilet & shower block is centrally located here for easy access.
Pitch selection incurs a £5 additional charge.
Extra-large grass pitches with 16 amp electric hookup. The site is level and has lots of open space on well kept grass.

Very well kept site with big plots. So much open space. Check in was so easy as well. Will come again
Very nice site. The old shower block has been done up really nicely (could do with hairdryer). Have stayed here on a number of occasions it is great to have the pub with restaurant so near. Very convenient for the Slimbridge bird sanctuary.
My stay was excellent thank you. Although there was some maintenance work being done to the on field wate supply the peaceful setting was 1st class
This was our 2nd visit to the site having spent 3 nights in April. The site is very clean and well kept, staff are friendly and helpful and dogs are very welcome. It’s a quiet site with no children when we visited- a positive for us! Onsite facilities are easily reachable. Nice dog walks along the canal and an onsite pub and Black Shed cafe across the road incorporating small souvenir shop, boat trip bookings and delicious cakes! Tesco supermarket is 3 miles away and Atwools Camping shop 5 miles (dogs welcome in the shop and indoor cafe with outdoor eating area if preferred). Visited Leaf and Ground garden centre 5 mins drive away, for lunch and stunning views across the countryside. Would recommend a visit to pretty Bourton on the Water. Only negative for us is that there is no dog exercising area on site and one of the recommended walks through fields across from the site was so full of sheep poo that we abandoned our attempt after a few yards and returned to the canal walk.
The site is very well maintained. The plots are a good size. The reception staff are helpful and friendly. The showers are clean, although they could maybe do with a few more showers for the size of the site. Lovely location near the wetlands and the canal, with a great pub just outside of the gates and a cafe over the road on the canal. Shame they don’t have any fully serviced plots.
This park is stunning. Well maintained. The pitches are immaculate and large. Peaceful surroundings. Shower blocks clean and today. Friendly and very helpful staff. Plenty of trails to walk. Canal and river nearby as well as the wetlands. Pub on site does amazing food. Sunday lunch is a must. Cafe opposite for a coffee and snacks. Will definitely stay here again. This has been the best site I have stayed in so far. Beautiful.

This is my favourite place to stay 3rd visit here but first time bringing the dogs. This time because we had the dogs we stayed on a grass extra large electric hookup pitch. This pitch was great lovely quiet area. The pitch was towards the back of the site so not much traffic in and out. You were further away from the toilet and shower areas but this was not a problem. The toilet block was spotless as usual and the whole site was clean and tidy very well kept with plenty of water points. We picked an end pitch so the dogs did not see to many people or other dogs going past Digby can be a bit reactive but he was such a good boy. The area around the site is great, good walks, the pub is dog friendly and there is a great garden centre a few miles up the road which is also dog friendly. Will definitely be back again.
We came to Tudor Caravan Park for a 2 night stay, the pitches were nice and well maintained, other campers we met there were lovely. The campsite does allows dogs, but it clearly isn't dog-friendly. As soon as we arrived at reception we were told that we couldn't walk our dog on-site and we must take him off-site for his 'toileting'. That didn't make us feel very welcome at all, and also confusing when there are dog poo bins on the campsite. I'd love to meet a dog owner that has trained their dog to hold its poo for 10 minutes until it's off-site! The main shower block was tired and dirty - not what we'd expect for an award-wining campsite - but after reading other reviews, I believe there was a staffing problem, so maybe we came at a bad time. The pub was good, and staff were lovely, the Black Shed was fabulous! There isn't a local shop, so go prepared, or you'll need to travel. If you want an ice cream the campsite reception sells them, but no milk, bread or actual food.
Thank you for your review and feedback. We are all dog owners and love to have dogs on our site, however, as a business, we have to ensure that everyone is happy - not just the dog owners and, as all of our grass is given up for camping and people's pitches, we ask that all dogs are walked off site. Obviously if your dog needs to go before then, we are happy for them to use your pitch and for you to clean up after and if a dog needs to go on the way out of the site, it would be on the site road and as long as it's cleared up, once again, it's not a problem at all. What we actually ask is that dog owners don't allow their dogs to foul the camping grounds and other people's grass which helps keep everyone happy -hopefully. The poo bins are there for people who are staying in the camping grounds with dogs - the same rule applies to everyone, anywhere on the site and the majority of our lovely customers with their dogs wouldn't dream of letting their dogs foul grass that someone is staying on. Sadly though, we have had a lot of complaints in the past where people have not had that respect so we now have to explain it on check in to underline the rules. We now have an excellent cleaner and the facilities are looking a lot better. We are hoping to be able to stock basic essentials at some point in the future., until then, the nearest shop is 2 miles away but we are happy for people to have an online shop delivered if they meet and escort the delivery driver from the gate.Regards
