From my first phone call to the end of our stay, we couldn’t have had a warmer welcome. Great spot on the camp site, delicious meal and excellent personal service from all the pub staff. Including those in the Royal oaks sister pub. We’ll be sure to head back, just sad the rain spoiled our last day, but it did provide some spectacular views on the drive home.
Useful to have an Elsan waste disposal pointBe great is could install electric pints on some pitches Excellent spot especially due to direct access to the the tissington trial
Had a really nice time with friendly staff and lovely location. Excellent and clean facilities Definitely going back
Great campsite and fantastic pub
Great place, great pub, great facilities and great staff. The only negative thing about paying the extra for the Super Pitch, is that you are pitching on a slope. If it could be levelled out it would be perfect.Only a small negative as it won't stop me coming back, but it may stop me paying for the super pitch again.
I think campers who arrive under their own steam should pay £5 less as you charge £5 for additional vehicles
Adam & Abbie could not have done more to help. Always there for a helping hand.We will be returning again soon.Cheers Ian
Really good location backing onto Tissington Trail. Pitches are all level and well maintained, facilities are clean and hygienic. Having the pub right there is a real bonus, serving good food and drinks, there’s also a really nice covered outdoor area.
Have been here many times, have recommended this site to many fellow Campers and Friends. Just love the surroundings, the quiet idyllic location, The Royal Oak Pub is dog friendly, also facilities are brill. Will be returning again definitely.
We were greeted by the campsite manager, who took care to make sure we had all necessary info and even offered to help put our tent up! The site is right on the High Peak Trail - great for people and dogs. We had a super-sized pitch, with tons of room, a firepit and a picnic table. Had dinner in the pub - nice meal and great service. Would stay again. No question.
