The Alders has been developed on historic parkland on a working farm so that visitors can enjoy the peace and tranquility of the Yorkshire countryside. The Alders is ideally located to explore the many attractions and beautiful areas in North Yorkshire. With the park's space and tranquility of the landscaped parkland it provides a beautiful environment for your stay.

The Alders have a range of Hard Standing and Grass pitches available with electric hook-up, suitable for touring caravans, motorhomes and campervans. A pretty site with well-spaced plots.

Trew, Frank - 18/07/2024

A pretty, well-maintained site with plenty of space between plots. The plots are arranged around the perimeter of clearings / glades, each named as a locally relevant location / place of interest. It would appear that many of the pitches are occupied on a seasonal basis but all are well maintained and tidy. Other pitches were occupied at the weekend by (I assume) local families who would appear to visit on a regular basis. One slight issue would be with the floor tiling in the shower rooms. The tiles are rather slippy when wet (which of course they would be when stepping out of the shower) and could be considered dangerous to an unsuspecting customer. A change to a more 'textured' non-slip tiling or other flooring would be a suggestion. We didn't have much contact with the site staff but at all times they were friendly and helpful. We would certainly consider booking this site again when planning to visit this this part of Yorkshire.

Very quiet and peaceful

Antill, Christina - 10/07/2024

Great location for exploring Yorkshire. We did so much, weather wasn't amazing so we didn't spend much time on the site during the day.But the facilities and space were amazing. Very quiet, almost too quiet during the week. Busier at the weekends, but still plenty of space.Local cricket ground (on site) was great, sorry we missed the full game as we were Saturday to Saturday. Next time I would definitely come on a Friday!! Cafe looked nice, just didn't get the opportunity to visit.

Third amazing stay!

Johnson, Janet - 07/07/2024

Six nights stay, camping…beautiful well kept pitches, amenities are first class shore blocks and utility washing areas all immaculate, no matter what time of day.Well stocked shop, Rachael (owner) was so accommodating when we decided to leave a night early due to weather…received a lovely email from her, she also pointed us in the direction of Beninborough Hall, where we found a beautiful riverside walk for our three year old lab.Lovely little villages, easingwold and huby close by.Also saw the birds of prey which is a local attraction.Well worth camping at The Alders, already booked again for September.
