Great value for money

Love Alders. We come every year! Lovely big pitches, lots of space. We camp as a famiky group and Alders are always so accomodating.

Lovely site beautifully set out. Lovely family run site that I would highly recommend. Very close to York and other town and villages to explore

Ideally situated for the exploration of Yorkshire and the city of York.

Sister had a caravan on the. I’ve visited before but never stayed there. Really friendly and helpful at the reception from the start off. I knew my way round but was still given a map. Facilities are spotless and even allowed to stay a bit later because of the rain. In a lovely position with trees and fields and a lovely little village. Even watched the cricket match with a couple of drinks. Definitely stay there again.

We visit Alders regularly and will continue to do so. The surroundings are gorgeous, it is a peaceful campsite and the facilities are great. Friendly staff with cafe and small shop.

Returning guests..The Alders is the best campsite we have ever stayed at …it’s a peaceful experience.. The ONLY thing I would recommend is that the showers stay on a minute longer than they do now …We have been camping here for around 10/15 years and return regularly… Sue

We stayed for 3 weekday nights. Site maintenance was excellent; loads of space between pitches; great site management; very quiet; clean facilities. Nothing not to like.Alne village was interesting, and the church is very old and worth a look. The Bluebell pub means are good value and the service was good too. There’s a good bus service into York from the pub. It’s right by the village cricket club for weekend games.

The only thing I would like to comment on is the showers the lack of somwear dry to put your clothes and shower gel and shampoo ect

The site was easy to access, clear signage at entrance. Staff were friendly and explained with a good map of the site.Facilities were very clean, warm, shower was good. The cafe was very good. At the pitch everything was accessable. Good area for dog walking. Good value for money.
