Another lovely weekend at the Alders

Musgrove, Shaun - 20/10/2023

Our fourth time at the Alders and we love it every time. Rachel and her team are so friendly that you feel welcome as soon as you arrive. The park is so peaceful, ideal for a relaxing break. The pitches are spacious and well spaced out. The park is always spotlessly clean and tidy, the coffee shop is a must for a nice cuppa and a slice of homemade cake after a gentle stroll around the farm walk. The amenities blocks are always clean and tidy and fairly central in the site. We are looking forward to returning next year.

Cosy pods and lovely staff

Hodson Walker, Millie - 25/09/2023

We had a lovely time at Alders, staying in the pod which had lighting and heating so it was nice and cosy. The site is around 30 mins away by bus from the city centre of York, which made it really accessible. There was plenty to do in York; we visited the different sites, did a self-driven boat tour, did the Brew York tour, and ate lots of good food. The staff were very welcoming and showed us to our pod as soon as we arrived. I loved seeing the chickens, sheep and cows on site too!My partner left his AirPods at the pod when we left and the staff were kind enough to post them back to us with a nice note, which was greatly appreciated.

Great weekend in the large pod

Booth, Colin - 21/09/2023

We booked the pod as my Sister was visiting from down south and we wanted to meet up with them while they were so far north. Never having stayed in a pod I looked at other options for accommodation but found nothing close by. Yes it is just the pod but it does have two plug sockets a lamp and heater and the floor was carpeted. It was very spacious and we took a good self inflating double bed and the big dog pen for our pup and had plenty of room. Opposite was a drinking water tap and parking was about 10 metres from the pod. The shower blocks were spotless and they have individual rooms with walk in shower, toilet and sink. The grounds are beautiful with cows roaming and lovely walks. We were apprehensive as the only pub in the village was closed for holidays. I reached out to Chris the bar manager of the cricket club which is adjoining the site and he was very friendly advising me the clubhouse bar was dog friendly. We went there both nights and had the best time with the locals.

Week Long visit while attending Craft Workshop near Easingwold l

Armstrong, Andrew - 19/09/2023

A lovely campsite with great facilities and spacious pitches. Large green field layout makes everything very comfortable. Good toilets and facilities. Cricket Club is very novel and Pavilion Bar very welcoming. Campsite staff are all very friendly and helpful and cafe is very welcoming. A very pet friendly site. As a MH owner the location is a bit remote, however there is an adequate reliable Bus service. There are no shops or Bars and the one Pub restaurant only serves meals. It would help if the Cafe was able to sell basic amenities like Bread. A very pleasant stay in a lovely part of Yorkshire.
