St Helens Caravan Park is a large 36 acre campsite offering 100 touring pitches – most of which are hardstanding – including 30 adult only pitches in a quiet zone. The site is divided into terraces with tree screening creating smaller, more private areas – a feature which enables different areas of the park to vary in character and outlook. The terracing and landscaping suits the requirements of a wide range of caravanners and motorhomers.
As well as the park's adults only zone, they offer plenty of family pitches both hardstanding and grass with a number of play areas and open space for family activates. The park also have six acres devoted to Country Park for walking and relaxing – with animals to look at including pigs, sheep and our famous alpacas.
If guests fancy a truly unique camping experience the park offer a number of purpose built wooden pods. The pods will keep you warm in the winter months and cool in the summer due to fantastic insulation.

Staff very friendly and helpful (they work extremely hard). Amenities greatly improved since our last stay in 2023. Really enjoyed our 15 night stay.By way of improvements - 1. Feel there is a need to highlight the “no ball games policy” to seasonal and touring guests particularly at weekend evenings.2. Would like to see large Adult only pitches on upper field - ones on the lower field would be too close together to be of interest to us.
Stayed here for a week and found it as an ideal location for the North Yorkshire moors & coast.Staff were very helpful and the cafe was great for meals, snacks & drinks. Pitches were plenty big enough for caravan, awning & car.Lovely dog walks around the donkey paddock & into the woods.Have rebooked for next year 😎
The site is very well kept and the facilities are superb. Great toilets showers and dog wash areas. The site cafe looks great and offers really good food, a must try.The camping area on the lower far left of the site isn’t really suitable for tents. The area is full of stones which makes it difficult to pitch up. I would return to St Helens but would stay in another area or in a caravan.
I was happy with the site, facilities and staff however I have never had so many flies in my camper and whilst I appreciate this may be out of your control I would ask that you investigate whether there is any local reason for this such as farming products, etc. as it was unbearable and really did spoil my holiday.I chatted to some lovely caravan bees on site who have been with you for many years who were very friendly.I was disappointed that you only offered a full breakfast on our day of departure rather than a bacon sandwich which was all we had time for.Overall it is a very pleasant and well run site.
This is a five star first class site. From the moment you arrive the staff welcome you to a site that is exceptionally maintained with outstanding facilities. Even without a car you can travel to most local attractions by the local bus service. Plenty to keep you and the kids occupied on site with playground, cafe, shop and small animal area and walks.
Large Touring pitch with water and drainage, really good.First time I have had to pay for electric separately, but no issues and they refund what you don’t use.Shower blocks have been given an update with some having individual rooms with toilet show and basin which is good.Hitch and brew cafe served nice breakfast and was lovely to sit out side for a few beers later in the day( it does shut relatively early, but was still good)Site is well maintained and all staff very friendly.Played the 9 hole par 3 golf course a few times, it’s only £8 for all day and is 10 mins away by car.Shame the local pub was shut.We travelled out to Castle Howard, Eden Camp and MaltonAlso took the train to York (approx £27 return from Seamer)The waterpark on Wykes lakes was good and only 5-10mins away, book in advance though .Overall a great campsite in a good location
