Nice site in a lovely village

Hugill, Margaret - 01/07/2022

Enjoyed our stay in our touring caravan. Site had plenty of space we were on a serviced site. Very quiet at night. Small shop on site. Staff were friendly and helpful.Facilities were ok showers nice and hot. Were very clean our first 2 nights then the weekend arrived and the site was full so toilets were not 100% but not the staff fault. I don't understand why people can't keep places clean that they use and expect others to flush a toilet after them. !Lovely village with a pub and cafes which we used.Nice walking in the area. Would definitely return.

Another lovely weekend at this beautiful spot.

Thompson, Sue - 30/06/2022

Friendly staff, spotless facilities and gorgeous location. We always camp here every late June/early July with friends - now a decade! This was the best yet, with a lovely friendly atmosphere in the Meadow, and fun and games with a junk boat race down the stream, the kids had a water fight and we all had lovely walks and bike rides, a game of golf at the local course, and an impromptu talent(less) competition on Saturday night. Brilliant as always! A special place we all love.

They need to sort out the electric hook up.I paid for 2 nights.I never have & never expected to pay extra.I put £3 in as directed by staff. Told I could have money back for what I never used. Then after there was still £3 on it but then told I couldn't have my money back. WE WERE NOT HAPPY to leave for next visitor.

Response from the owner

01 July 2022

Dear Linda,Thank you for your review. We are sorry you weren't happy about having to pay extra for the electric. We would just like to clarify a few points:1. On the website it states clearly before booking that electric is NOT included in the price.2. It states clearly on your Helpful Pre Arrival Information, that electricity is not included in the price, and that you will have to purchase cards from reception to top up your meter.3. As a goodwill gesture, we give all our guests £3 complimentary electric to get them started.4. We are always happy to refund unused electric cards which have been purchased, but I'm sorry we cannot refund them once they have been used.5. We do ask all of our guests to read the pre-arrival information clearly before arrival, as at busy times we cannot explain everything to each customer as they arrive - although we do always try to do so.We hope now that we have cleared these points with you, that you will visit us again at Rosedale. Kind RegardsJen BlackOwner

Another great stay

Poulter, Julie - 30/06/2022

The lovely Reception ladies were very helpful and welcoming. Great shop sells everything! Toilet/shower facilities great. My only comment for this times stay is maybe check that people pitch their tent correctly as the family that had 2 tent pitches in front of us took up far too much room. The pizza van was there selling the most delicious stone baked pizza’s - perfect!

Absolute Heaven

Robertson, Heather - 30/06/2022

Rosedale Abbey Caravan Park is amazing, have been going there for years & each time it gets better. The staff definitely make it, so friendly. They all go out of their way to make sure you have an enjoyable stay. Jeff is just the best along with the man that cleans the toilets, which I must say are spotless & the underfloor heating is a bonus. The whole campsite is so beautiful & is kept just how it should be. If you want peace & quiet with just the trickling of stream water & owls making their evening rounds then the Glade Is for you. It's much more than just a camping field, it's heaven with facilities a short walk away. All I can suggest is bring your midgy repellent in summer months, due to the water in the evening they're hungry! It's in the middle of nowhere but the lovely village of Rosedale has everything you need for essentials & the shop on the site has more than everything you need. It's about half an hour away to towns such as Whitby & Scarborough. Also a walkers paradise.

I was very impressed with this campsite. Very impressed. I have no complaints whatsoever. The photos online don’t actually do it justice. It is beautiful, quiet, friendly, clean and felt very safe and secure.
