Place was lovely stayed with wife and x2 dogsOnly thing would suggest is sign posts around to show where to go for example where bins are , which way to lodges, way to pool as would be better than just a mapLodge was lovely but had to get maintenances to put wood on bottom of fenced garden as has x2 sausage dogs could get out of garden maybe check gardens are secure for even little dogs who can get threw small gapsThank u for a lovely stay
We stayed here for my sister's wedding, it was a beautiful venue, the house was immaculate and we stayed in a glamping pod which was in lovely area and very comfortable.
Been twice now. Last years 2 night stay was so lovely we decided to go for 5 nights this time. The site itself is stunning. The on site restaurant is excellent. Brilliant service and food. The lodges themselves are cleaned to a very high standard but.......The outside furniture at the restaurant and the lodges are not fit for purpose anymore. The gate to our dogs private garden was literally hanging off. The table and chairs were falling to bits, and the 2 halves of the hot tub lid was hanging on by a few threads! The furniture outside the restaurant was just as bad! Umbrellas broken so we couldnt provide shade for our dog. Screw left bare sticking up through the table, untreated rotting wood.If some investments were made to update the overall maintenance, the amount it costs to stay here would be more justified.
We had a good stay, but the lodge was very well used. The fridge shelf was broken and knobs on oven were damaged . The secured garden wasn’t secure and our dog got out. The outside lights weren’t working by front door or hot tub.Overall the lodge was nice and the weather was amazing the onsite bar and restaurant was also nice we would come back but for how much we paid it wasn’t luxury unfortunately.
Amazing and will definately go again
Friendly staff very clean lodge amenities good ,great value for money
The lodge we had was a chatterly lodge and was perfect for us. We took our puppy with us and had an enclosed garden that I was very relaxed about him playing in. He had all his first walks around the Ribblesdale parks and he loved it x Beautiful location. We took a drive to Windermere during our stay and the quaint little village called Settle.
We had a nice stay, food in the onsite restaurant was lovely and the grounds were well kept. However the lodge we stayed in needed some improvements, it was a little tired in places and the Hottub had jets that didn’t work, the panel had cracks in it and it was so loud! We really struggled to sleep with the noise of the hot tub vibrating through the lodge. Because of this I don’t think we would return, maybe if we knew there had been a refurbishment and new hot tubs.
Food visible under the table as soon as we walked in. No cot /No high chair that we hired available, we had to ring for them to bring it. Then the cot that was brought was dirty. Dog poo in the garden from previous people staying. Oven didn’t work- had to ring for it to be fixed and fuse changed. Tried to use oven next day- cooked something that took 35 mins 2.5 hours. Had to put new oven in- room was absolutely boiling and unbearable.Lots of dust and cobwebs, makes us think it hasn’t been well cleaned. TV in bedroom doesn’t work as a TV and you can only stream on them. No signs to direct you to where the pool was, we bumped into several people trying to find it. Staff not friendly or helpful. We left this review upon leaving and have not heard back from them regarding our poor experience.
It was a great relaxing break away. Had almost everything you needed to relax. the cabin was perfect, nicely decorated and kitchen had everything you needed to be self contained. It was clean (although the bin hadn’t been emptied from previous guest) and we generally had no issues. Check in was quick but only piece of feedback is that the reception being in the restaurant wasn’t obvious but that’s minor The park is great for walks, has animals and generally just lovely, village is close and surrounding towns aren’t far. The only thing that’s missing is a children’s park. We brought a toddler who loves a slide and a swing so had to go offsite for that. But we did enjoy our day and we would stay again
