For nearly 100 years, Little Stainforth has hosted both local and national campers. It is also one of the oldest sites still run by the same family, the Maudsley’s. We are sure you will enjoy your stay at Little Stainforth, and we will do everything we can to ensure that your stay is a pleasant and memorable one. Set in the Yorkshire Dales National Park, the park stands on the 45-acre estate of Knight Stainforth Hall, just 2 miles north of the market town of Settle and nestled on the banks of the River Ribble, a manor house dating back to pre-Norman times, which belonged to the Knight Templar.
The Touring Park is open from 1st Mar – 31st Oct and offers 100 touring pitches for Caravans, Motorhomes and Tents. 75 of these are serviced with electrical hook-up points.
The children’s playground and ball games area always go down well with the little ones. Shop with off-license selling basic supplies, camping accessories and gas refills. Games and TV room and an Information room containing brochures and literature on attractions and events in the locality. Some information is available on places of interest further afield, but within easy access of the Park. Fishing is available on site.
The park is not only ideally situated for exploring the dales but is also within easy traveling distance of the Lakes and Herriot Country. The area around Little Stainforth offers many attractions including: Malhamdale including the Cove and Gordale Scar, Settle to Carlisle Railway, The 3 Peaks, Ingleton Water Fall Walk, White Scar and Inglebourgh Show Cave, The Pennine Way, The Lake District, Outdoor Pursuits inc. Horse riding, Walking, Cycling and Climbing.
Two super king-size double bedrooms and one single bedroom.
A delightful stone-built mid-terrace cottage, situated near the beautiful river on the outskirts of the peaceful village of Stainforth, 3 miles from Settle, and just 5-10 minutes walk from the site itself.
This is a charming Stainforth cottage, fully refurbished and styled to provide a good quality holiday home in the heart of the Yorkshire Dales.
This Stainforth cottage features a sitting room with warm and cosy wood burning stove, a well-equipped adjoining kitchen, three delightful bedrooms, two with flexible accommodation, a pretty enclosed front garden and a patio area to the rear of the cottage.
Various walks can be enjoyed from the doorstep of this Stainforth cottage, on the Pennine Way and in the Yorkshire Dales National Park, while the more energetic visitor can 'clock in' at Horton-in-Ribblesdale's Pen-y-Ghent cafe and take on the challenge of the Three Peaks walk!
For those less inclined towards the great outdoors, there are many sightseeing activities in the area around this cottage in Stainforth - visit the Hoffman Kiln at Langcliffe, the Falconry Centre and the market towns of Settle and Skipton. And what better way to end the day than the short walk to the heart of the village - the local pub? A great Stainforth cottage and location whatever the time of year.

I booked this site for an event through work. The facilities were praised by the group who stayed there. the administration of the site is excellent and it is in a great place.
Sadly this will be our last visit to the this camp site as we feel they are gearing this once beautiful touring park much towards seasonal pitches Such a shame as a lot of the seasonal caravans have so much going on outside and all around the pitch and some of them simply just need a good wash The amenity block was not very clean sadly the showers had green mild on in the gents and very very cold totally unacceptable so we had to use our own shower in our motorhome and they was been painted on our weekend we stayed So sadly not for us any more we’ve only been coming about 4 years and always love it BUT NOT ANY MORE
Very clean and tidy, helpful staff, excellent location, a short walk from the river.easy walk into Settle.
Stay here whenever in the area. Absolutely love it. Great clean facilities. Great pitches and great staff. 👍🏻 Food in the pub is exquisite
Couldn’t fault the site or the staff who were very friendly and helpful. The price was about what I’d expect to pay. The location was perfect for what I wanted to do which was watching and photographing the salmon run on the Ribble…it was about 200 metres from my van to the leaping fish.
This is a great base for exploring the surrounding area. There are some lovely walks from the site and other attractions only a short drive away. As dog owners we were disappointed that the nearby pub did not welcome dogs but the onsite restaurant/bar actively encouraged them, giving us all a warm welcome, even providing treats for our four legged friend. The restaurant also offered some fantastic food and we had a great meal there. The site and facilities were very clean. We would definitely stay again.
I stayed with you while supervising a Gold Duke of Edinburgh's award qualifying expedition during difficult weather conditions (Storm Ciaran) and with a group of young who were struggling with tiredness, low morale and injury. You allowed us to use your games room facilities for a couple of hours on the morning of our departure which allowed our group to gather themselves and complete some meaningful work on their aim. Having had this respite, the group were able to continue with renewed energy. Without this flexibility some of the group mightn't have completed their expedition successfully. Your team couldn't have been more helpful in the circumstances. Thank you.
Great site, friendly staff and great facilities.
One night away to try out our new campervan. Lovely, quiet site. Booked a table at the restaurant, good food and they served cocktails which was a plus. Toilet/shower block was clean. The surroundings and views were stunning. Lovely walks surrounded the site. Will be lovely to visit in the spring/summer.
We had an excellent stay as always! We visited the restaurant on the Friday night and the service was brilliant and the food even better! We loved the fireworks and decided not to pay to see them this year but sit out side our tent and watch them from the comfort of our own environment.
