For over 90 years Little Stainforth has hosted both local and national campers. It is also one of the oldest sites still run by the same family, the Maudsley’s. We are sure you will enjoy your stay at Little Stainforth, and we will do everything we can to ensure that your stay is a pleasant and memorable one. Set in the Yorkshire Dales National Park, the park stands on the 45-acre estate of Knight Stainforth Hall, just 2 miles north of the market town of Settle and nestled on the banks of the River Ribble, a manor house dating back to pre-Norman times, which belonged to the Knight Templar.
The Touring Park is open from 1st Mar – 31st Oct and offers 100 touring pitches for Caravans, Motorhomes and Tents. 75 of these are serviced with electrical hook-up points.
The children’s playground and ball games area always go down well with the little ones. Shop with off-license selling basic supplies, camping accessories and gas refills. Games and TV room and an Information room containing brochures and literature on attractions and events in the locality. Some information is available on places of interest further afield, but within easy access of the Park. Fishing is available on site.
The park is not only ideally situated for exploring the dales but is also within easy traveling distance of the Lakes and Herriot Country. The area around Little Stainforth offers many attractions including: Malhamdale including the Cove and Gordale Scar, Settle to Carlisle Railway, The 3 Peaks, Ingleton Water Fall Walk, White Scar and Inglebourgh Show Cave, The Pennine Way, The Lake District, Outdoor Pursuits inc. Horse riding, Walking, Cycling and Climbing.
Two super king-size double bedrooms and one single bedroom.
A delightful stone-built mid-terrace cottage, situated near the beautiful river on the outskirts of the peaceful village of Stainforth, 3 miles from Settle, and just 5-10 minutes walk from the site itself.
This is a charming Stainforth cottage, fully refurbished and styled to provide a good quality holiday home in the heart of the Yorkshire Dales.
This Stainforth cottage features a sitting room with warm and cosy wood burning stove, a well-equipped adjoining kitchen, three delightful bedrooms, two with flexible accommodation, a pretty enclosed front garden and a patio area to the rear of the cottage.
Various walks can be enjoyed from the doorstep of this Stainforth cottage, on the Pennine Way and in the Yorkshire Dales National Park, while the more energetic visitor can 'clock in' at Horton-in-Ribblesdale's Pen-y-Ghent cafe and take on the challenge of the Three Peaks walk!
For those less inclined towards the great outdoors, there are many sightseeing activities in the area around this cottage in Stainforth - visit the Hoffman Kiln at Langcliffe, the Falconry Centre and the market towns of Settle and Skipton. And what better way to end the day than the short walk to the heart of the village - the local pub? A great Stainforth cottage and location whatever the time of year.

Great site with excellent facilities. A lovely restaurant and bar serving great food with fantastic views in the Yorkshire dales.
Loved our stay. Great pitches and facilities. Beautiful walks from the site and great base for hiking the Yorkshire 3 peaks. Cater really well for dog owners. Great food and drink at pub onsite. Really helpful and friendly staff.
The campsite is pristine, restaurant serving great good and lovely staff what more could you ask for 😊 always a favourite
Noise from residents after 10pm inconsiderate!!!!,cars moving around early to leave....bins area too close to pitches for peace and quiet lids banging all the time....reception needs to be open more for essentials closed all weekend...
we stayed for the first time over the kings coronation weekendabsolutely loved the site from the minute we were greeted to having a meal in the pub on sitefood was lovely, reasonably priced and good qualitywe do open water swimming so we were in our element by the river and Stainforth falls.location was amazing as well, walking distance to settle and other pleasant walks, attractions, plunge pools etc
Was a lovely peaceful place to stay and great views . The facilities were very clean , and had lovely walks and waterfalls . The staff were so helpfull. To he food at the restaurant was excellent. Will be going back .
Having stayed a couple of times before we knew exactly what the site was like. That is to say spotlessly clean, friendly and welcoming. As normal the husband spent most of the days fishing, while I ever relaxed or went walking with our dogs. And on an evening we joined an evening stroll and a couple of pints. We have already booked to stay again.
