The facilities at this site are second to none, each pitch in the services area has its own power and water and grey waste, the pitches are generous and well laid out, protected from the weather too which was handy! Having a milk dispenser (with milk shake syrups!) on site is such a great idea and the shop stocked all the essential bits plus the most amazing 🤩 ice cream! We enjoyed petting the goats and pigs and the kids played in the ball games area. Owing to the weather and other plans we had we didn’t do the local trails but we will definitely be back with more friends next year to give them a go. Staff were welcoming and friendly, information provided was really useful and the toilets are great. And my favourite thing of all) there is a bath in the family bathroom!!!!

The campsite facilities were lovely and clean. Lots of hot running water, plenty of sinks to wash up in. Freezer available to refreeze ice blocks. Lovely ice cream!If there was one thing missing it would be a play park for the kids, theres a sports field, but they missed a play area. But that's it. Lovely weekend.

Great location, not far from Buxton (by car) but a few pubs within walking distance. Staff we all very friendly and welcoming, gave us plenty of information. The facilities were spotlessly clean and there were always showers and toilets available to use. Campsite is on a walking trail and easily accessed by road (no narrow lanes). A small petting area with goats and pigs, and ice cream made on site was a lovely highlight!

Great site, lovely location. Friendly staff in the shop and great icecream and access to animals. WiFi is advertised and personally I wouldn’t advertise it! As it doesn’t work, and there is no phone signal. So if I was to return I would bring my own WiFi so I can stay in contact with my children and parents in an emergency as I was completely uncontactable which was a worry for me. Bathrooms have the potential to be much cleaner and fully stocked if separate ones were provided to school trips or cleaning was more regular when they are there. An on-site member of staff would be good for unwanted noise from other campers in the night.I would return again for the location and lovely family facilities.

Very tidy site. Excellent facilities (lots of lovely hot water in showers). Friendly staff in reception always happy to help with suggestions of things to do. Wi-Fi and phone signal very limited. Lovely ice cream too!

This was a lovely little campsite, good size pitches, fantastic facilities, toilet and shower block was spacious and very clean, nice little shop selling amazing ice cream, lovely friendly staff, great enclosed field for walking the dogs and forget access to the high peak trail. My only criticism was my pitch was almost completely mud not grass, meaning my awning became covered in it. I would have expected them to close off these pitches from booking rather than rent them in this condition. It’s the only reason it gets 4 stars not 5.

There’s only positive things to say about Pomeroy. The pitches are great and not too close together, the shop is excellent and well stocked, the ice cream is amazing, the milk and milkshake machines are a nice touch, the toilet facilities are spotless and look brand new, the dog exercise field was a particular highlight for us. The information sheets provided are great and pointed us in the direction of a great pub within walking distance. We will definitely be back.

Excellent site, lovely staff, clean facilities and dog friendly. Love that we can get milk and ice cream on site from the dairy. Third year visiting and looking forward to booking again next year
