All in all GREAT site
It was our first time visiting this site ,a welcome from Phill in reception was a good start ,our pitch was very generous in size with pitch services where they should be . The pitch surface is stoney but flat a carpet or simular would be recommended in a awning I had some carpet tiles that worked a treat so no sore feet .The ammeneties block was spotless ,showers hot loos clean .A bus stop a short walk from the site takes you to Blackpool or Preston if you want that experience. The site has a covered outdoor bar we had as a customer a couple of niggles which we discussed in reception as we left nothing major just observation. Yes we will book it again .
On arrival we had a fantastic personal greeting! Site is impeccably clean, staff are extremely friendly and the location is brilliant. What more could you need?
As above
When staying at Pipers Height from 28 April to 1 May and sitting inside our caravan due to my disability we found it hard to relax due to two days of listening to the mower especially early morning when we had numerous business phone calls to make which was impossible. We realise grass has to be cut but it was so annoying. On one occasion we heard things hitting the rear of the caravan and a loud noise of something hitting my car. On investigation by Lorraine, my partner, she found grass stuck on the back of the caravan and on the front of my car. Due to recent rain and road debris while staying at Pipers Height I had my car hand washed yesterday and was informed and shown a small dent in the passenger side front door. It was also noted that gravel and grass was stuck inside the valance space under the front bumper which was removed by the car wash attendant. The loud noise of something hitting my car was obviously gravel or an obstacle from cutting the grass. It was noted
Excellent site. Large open pitches. Brilliant facilities. Close enough to town but far enough away from the hustle and bustle.
This is the best campsite in the North West. The wardens, staff , facilities are first class. We would never use a different campsite in this area.
The touring park is well maintained and the pitch we stayed on a premium pitch that was fully serviced which made setting up very easy. The shower/ WC facilities are always very clean, with underfloor heating and background music. There are pot wash facilities and a laundry room and these are also well looked after. There is a bar on site selling bottled beers, ciders and spirts and it's was open 2 days a week when we stayed in April. The site is located near a bus route, (just outside the mini garage), which runs between Blackpool and Preston and the adult fare is £2 per journey. Unfortunately we didn't find a bus route in to St. Annes and a taxi cost £13.50.There is a Green King pub nearby that serves food and a little further on there is a Tesco, a Next and a Matalan. We had a very relaxing and peaceful stay at Pipers Height and we will definately be returning.
Fantastic place. So peaceful and relaxing. Location just great for getting a bus into Blackpool and not far for St Anne’s sea front. The steak house just 5min drive away is lovely to dine out. We have been coming here for the last few years for long weekends. Be returning again in a few months
