At the heart of the Yorkshire Dales, Orcaber Farm welcomes guests to its tranquil holiday park all year round. Flawlessly forged amidst the raw beauty of the Three Peaks and Bowland AONB, this park is an exceptional escape in nature. Set in the charming village of Austwick near Settle, Orcaber Farm offers a haven for nature enthusiasts, boasting breathtaking views of picturesque countryside. The park’s strategic location makes it an ideal hub for exploring the enchanting Yorkshire Dales, with an array of walking and cycling trails at your doorstep and iconic landmarks such as Malham Cove, Ribblehead Viaduct, and the Yorkshire Three Peaks all within easy reach.

One of Orcaber's standout features is its diverse range of camping pitches, catering to various needs and preferences. For those seeking a bit of modern convenience, electric hookups are available, ensuring a comfortable stay without compromising the charm of the great outdoors. The well-maintained site encompasses modern amenities, including pristine toilets, showers, and a convenient washing-up area.

The campsite has garnered acclaim as a favoured destination for caravan and motorhome enthusiasts. Offering pitches of various sizes, including both grass and hardstanding options, Orcaber Farm accommodates vehicles of all shapes and sizes.

The emphasis on flexibility extends to camping pods, presenting an enticing alternative for those who crave the camping experience with a touch of added comfort. These well-insulated pods, capable of hosting up to four people, provide a cosy haven equipped with lighting and electric sockets—a perfect compromise between the allure of nature and the desire for creature comforts. It's worth noting that the pods do not include beds, so guests are advised to bring their air-beds for a restful night's sleep.

Beyond individual camping setups, Orcaber Farm excels in its provision of comprehensive facilities with the inclusion of electric hookups, well-maintained toilets and showers, and a practical washing-up area contributes to a hassle-free camping experience.

On-site facilities extend beyond the basic necessities, with an excellent shower block, separate facilities for men and women, and the thoughtful provision of hairdryers and electric points, albeit requiring a nominal fee. Clean and well-maintained toilets add to the overall positive impression.

Orcaber Farm goes beyond the traditional camping experience by providing a dedicated dog walk area along the river, creating a welcoming environment for pet owners. The presence of picnic benches scattered around the site invites guests to savour the tranquillity of the surroundings. A short stroll into the village rewards campers with access to a pub, a shop, and a play park, adding to the convenience of the location. For those in need of larger shopping options, the proximity of Settle, just five miles away, provides access to a larger supermarket.

For those seeking information on local attractions and activities, the Tourist Information point on-site is a valuable resource, offering a plethora of leaflets to guide your exploration of the surrounding area.

Walking in the sunshine!

Barnes, Liz - 27/08/2025

We booked for 5 nights, tent pitch with no hook up. Pitched in the middle area, although fully booked still plenty of room and lovely views from the pitch. Staff friendly and welcoming, well stocked shop and very clean shower blocks. Plenty to do in the surrounding area, walked from the campsite up Ingleborough Hill, lovely village shop and Paul's Pedals for coffee in Clapham.Visited The Courtyard Dairy, where you can taste and buy many different cheeses, there is also a vending machine for fresh milk. There is a lovely bakery and Wine shop too.Walked up Whernside, and views of the Ribblehead viaduct.

Clean, friendly well-run site

Fieldsend, Joy - 25/08/2025

We stayed in our tent 3 nights from Monday to Thursday, and the site was moderately busy but it was not a problem to use the facilities, which were splendidly clean and modern. The pitches are flat and there was plenty of space, including room for to play ball games., the football goal net being the main attraction. The pub within walking distance, the Game Cock in Austwick, wasn't open on Mondays and Tuesdays, and we should have booked well in advance as we failed to get a table there on Wednesday evening, but instead drove to the Knights Table, Stainforth, where the food and atmosphere were nice. Nearby Clapham has a pub serving food, but we found this out too late to try it. The Old Sawmill Cafe in Clapham served very good soup for lunch, which we had on a scenic 8 mile circular walk from the site through Austwick, to Wharf and back via Clapham. We found the site quiet by 10pm, though the rules stated 11pm was quiet time. No traffic noise, just some soporific snoring.

Excellent Value

This is the third time we have stayed at Orcaber and we’ve never been let down by the facilities, friendly staff and location central to local attractions. There have been many improvements including breakfast served daily and pizza served on Saturday (get your orders in early. The dog walk and dog exercise area is also a nice addition. There is plenty of room for the kids to play and a football goal is provided for aspiring footballers. Log burners and fuel can be provided for a small fe and makes for relaxing evening by the fireside. We will definitely return.

The lady on reception was fantastic. I had problems with my battery and she helped me get on an electric pitch, which I hadn’t booked. It was tricky as it was quite full, but she understood my predicament. Love this site, great facilities and location. We will be back

Lovely stay!

Park, Natalie - 22/08/2025

We stayed 2 nights camping in a tent. It was back to basics for us but what a lovely time we had at orcabre we didn’t want to go home. There is a little shop on site, the showers and toilets are immaculate and there is lots of room for the kids to play and make their own entertainment. There is a little river nearby for fishing and the kids loved it. We had gorgeous weather all weekend which really made the weekend too.
