At the heart of the Yorkshire Dales, Orcaber Farm welcomes guests to its tranquil holiday park all year round. Flawlessly forged amidst the raw beauty of the Three Peaks and Bowland AONB, this park is an exceptional escape in nature. Set in the charming village of Austwick near Settle, Orcaber Farm offers a haven for nature enthusiasts, boasting breathtaking views of picturesque countryside. The park’s strategic location makes it an ideal hub for exploring the enchanting Yorkshire Dales, with an array of walking and cycling trails at your doorstep and iconic landmarks such as Malham Cove, Ribblehead Viaduct, and the Yorkshire Three Peaks all within easy reach.

One of Orcaber's standout features is its diverse range of camping pitches, catering to various needs and preferences. For those seeking a bit of modern convenience, electric hookups are available, ensuring a comfortable stay without compromising the charm of the great outdoors. The well-maintained site encompasses modern amenities, including pristine toilets, showers, and a convenient washing-up area.

The campsite has garnered acclaim as a favoured destination for caravan and motorhome enthusiasts. Offering pitches of various sizes, including both grass and hardstanding options, Orcaber Farm accommodates vehicles of all shapes and sizes.

The emphasis on flexibility extends to camping pods, presenting an enticing alternative for those who crave the camping experience with a touch of added comfort. These well-insulated pods, capable of hosting up to four people, provide a cosy haven equipped with lighting and electric sockets—a perfect compromise between the allure of nature and the desire for creature comforts. It's worth noting that the pods do not include beds, so guests are advised to bring their air-beds for a restful night's sleep.

Beyond individual camping setups, Orcaber Farm excels in its provision of comprehensive facilities with the inclusion of electric hookups, well-maintained toilets and showers, and a practical washing-up area contributes to a hassle-free camping experience.

On-site facilities extend beyond the basic necessities, with an excellent shower block, separate facilities for men and women, and the thoughtful provision of hairdryers and electric points, albeit requiring a nominal fee. Clean and well-maintained toilets add to the overall positive impression.

Orcaber Farm goes beyond the traditional camping experience by providing a dedicated dog walk area along the river, creating a welcoming environment for pet owners. The presence of picnic benches scattered around the site invites guests to savour the tranquillity of the surroundings. A short stroll into the village rewards campers with access to a pub, a shop, and a play park, adding to the convenience of the location. For those in need of larger shopping options, the proximity of Settle, just five miles away, provides access to a larger supermarket.

For those seeking information on local attractions and activities, the Tourist Information point on-site is a valuable resource, offering a plethora of leaflets to guide your exploration of the surrounding area.

Very Tidy and Well Maintained

Talbot, Mark - 08/02/2024

Only stayed for one night, arrived late and left very early in the morning due to bad weather forecast. From the short time there I was very impressed with the general layout of the campsite, the lighting and the washing up and shower block. Had a lovely shower before bed. I would really like to come again in the summer and take more advantage of the fire pits, picnic tables and dog walking spots.

Not for us

Doyle, Steven - 08/02/2024

Although the site in general is neat and tidy, it let's itself down in other areas.I know we went late January, but reception was closed, so we just pitched on our pre paid pitch, with no one checking on us for the entire stay.I personally think that for the price they charge, the showers should be free.Only two showers and three toilets open was also disappointing, causing queuing. I don't think I would return, it's the second time we've been and the first occasion was a disaster, so it definitely won't be on the top of my list

Excellent campsite

Weaver, Mark - 25/01/2024

Excellent campsite which is the perfect base for travelling around the Yorkshire Dales and the forest of bowland. On site toilets and showers where spotlessly clean, it also has a perfect dog run field which is gated and enclosed so you can let the dog off the lead to have a good run. We also noticed that there was a dog shower unit under cover for washing your muddy dog after running on the field (which sadly was not working when we were on site) Hopefully this is fixed for next time we visit !Staff were friendly and helpful, we will definitely be returning.Thank you

Wonderful location, especially in the snow!

Stones, Andy - 21/01/2024

Fantastic location, facilities and friendly, helpful staff. We had a lovely time, and when the snow fell it was beautiful! My only minor criticism is, being a working farm there are unusually strict rules for dog owners, and after reading the rules it made us feel a little on edge even letting her out for a wee. It was January and we only saw one other person while we were there and I guess the rules are written for times when it is very busy. We would love to go back again but we’d definitely request a pitch near the dog exercise field (which was fabulous by the way!) Thank you for a lovely two nights stay, the walk into Austwick was idyllic.

Little piece of Heaven

Moore, Christopher - 20/01/2024

We absolutely love this site,it's first class. Spotless around the whole site. Generous pitch space, shop, toilet block is fantastic and always clean. Separate field for dog walk by the river.Location is superb 5 miles either way to Settle or Ingleton easy connections into the Yorkshire Dale's and the Lake District. We catch the bus from the village to Settle or Skipton it's cheap as chips. You can catch the train at Settle too, upto Carlisle. The staff on site are brilliant and very helpful. We have been staying here for over 4years now and love it, soCome and stay you will not be disappointed!!!Chris&Michaela
