Norden Farm Campsite

4.6 (651 reviews)

Norden Farm is a family-run camping and touring site set on a working farm just outside Corfe Castle, on the southern coast of beautiful Dorset. With easy transport links, friendly staff, and great facilities, this is the perfect place for a coastal getaway.

Search for availability Search for availability

Norden Farm is located in the heart of the Isle of Purbeck- set back from the main road, but with easy access. It is a rural farm site and may not be suitable for those looking for ready-made entertainment!

There are three adjacent, level grass fields offering electric hook up pitches, with an additional six- acre, non- electric field for tents and camper vans in peak season. There are no hard-standing pitches at present.

Onsite facilities include flush toilets and chemical disposal points, hot showers and private wash basins, a family room, disabled toilets and wet room (ambulant or aided only), separate laundry and washing-up rooms, a well-stocked farm shop, and a pooch parlour (a wet room and warm shower for dogs). For children, there is a play area and ball games court.

Most facilities are free for campers to use. WIFI is available for a small fee and likewise a device charging service (including car batteries). A freezer block service is also available.

In addition to camping, a traditional farm cottage is also available for hire. This sleeps four and is situated on site, with its own private garden. Norden House is also available as a large self- catering holiday home that sleeps up to fourteen people.

Norden Farm is conveniently located for using public transport, making us the perfect base for exploring the Isle of Purbeck! Norden has two bus stops outside our site entrance, and two steam railway stations a short walk away, making access to Swanage or Poole simple and easy.

Norden is also only 3.5 miles from the ancient town of Wareham, where you will find an array of pubs, shops and the River Frome. Wareham also has a train link to Weymouth or London.

This campsite also boasts a footpath (taking roughly 20 minutes) directly from our campsite into the historic village of Corfe Castle, where you will find three pubs, the bakery and the castle ruins!

From the site, you can take a short drive to beaches such as Studland, Sandbanks and Lulworth Cove! Families will love exploring local attractions such as Dorset Water Park, The Tank Museum and Monkey World!

Good facilities and country feel

Marshall, Nicholas - 06/08/2022

We cycle around the area . Wareham ,Sandbanks, Poole. Corfe . Really lovely. Campsite has great facilities. One thing I think needs to change is the dog rule. We had two incidents of dog poo by he side of our area. The wording needs to change to dogs Must be on a lead at all times. As a working farm I think dog owners feel that dogs are part of the freedom thing . Three different people would use ball launchers to exercise their dogs . Which in itself to keep seeing dogs and hearing them pound pass your pitch was really quite bad manners. And as one does it so others will follow . I don’t expect other peoples children to play by my pitch and the same goes for dogs . Ps .Just to say had plenty of dogs in the past and am a dog lover .

Good service

Smith, Mel - 06/08/2022

As with all campsites shower block etc gas to good and cleaned regularly and this was the case. The only criticism is that a few more level pitches for motorhome with singles leveling on your own is a bit of a problem. Other wise a very enjoyable stay

Lovely place

Tanner, Marion - 05/08/2022

Lovely place we were impressed, our circumstances were strange, both our Daughters have tents and we have a Motorhome, so we were on an electric hook up pitch which was fine but not level, I had asked when booked if we could be as close as possible, the difficulty was we were on P10, our Daughters were just the other side of the fence as we were assured we would be however I would have been happier if we could have been the other line of the P pitches, which I do realise might have been difficult, our Grandchildren had a lovely time though so I finish by saying thank you to you all. One thought could you not try to bogey the council to put a pedestrian crossing on the main road it is very difficult and dangerous to cross as it is. I also realise this would cost money but not as much as a bridge and the loss of a life or lives

A fantastic campsite with excellent facilities

Swann, Michelle - 05/08/2022

It is sometimes amazing what places you can find around our tiny isle and hidden away inside a working farm, you find a wonderful place, full of a bustling team of workers all beavering away with there day to day jobs. First stop is the farm shop and what a wondrous place that is, full of reasonably priced goods and fresh organic milk at your fingertips complete with a bespoke bottle which is yours to take home. The washing facilities where always very clean and tidy, making showering, washing up and general clean ups a joy! We sampled the onsite food which was excellent, just a shame about how busy it was and the wait time for food was long, but then again it was cooked fresh, so we didn’t mind. The fields around the different named campsites where clearly marked and we found it very easy to get about and explore. The extra large pitch we had for our tent was huge, as we had a double pitch due to 2 large tents in our group! With live music included as well! It’s an amazing experience.

Lovely campsite, would recommend

Buttler, Kieran - 04/08/2022

Brilliant farm, generous pitches and great additional facilities such as laptop sized box chargers. The only downside was the toilets they were not serviced frequently enough considering the amount of people using them with it being height of summer, often run out of soap and hand towels also wee on floor I don't think once a day is servicing is enough. Great location with a lovely walk into corfe castle and close to norden station. Brilliant camp shop. Would stay again.

Very family friendly campsite and staff.

Holding, Lisa - 04/08/2022

We had an amazing stay, staff were so helpful towards the children too. The food was fantastic quality and reasonable prices from the spotted pig. The shop had everything you could want. The pitches were great, animals were lovely to wake up to in the morning and didn’t smell! The food at the pub in church knowle was “out of this world” - my teenage sons reaction!! Maybe clearer signs for the top field for first time visitors, especially after a long drive! Also I think a sign up around toilets/showers with cleaning times on would be very helpful, however, they were immaculate…no complaint. The charging lockers are great but there’s always a few that spoil it for everyone else, again staff were great with trying to sort this. Maybe an area with some hay bails the kids can play on as they’re always drawn to them. This is definitely a campsite we will visit again. Thank you to all staff members. Have a great summer 🌞🌞🌞😎😎😎

Great site. Plenty locally.

Burt, Richard - 04/08/2022

Norden is a great site with so much in the area to do. Corfe Castle is a 20 minute stroll. Plenty of other walks in the area as well, for those wanting to go a little further. Everything else is a short drive. The site itself is well maintained and well run. Toilets and showers are of a good standard. The grass and hedges cut to an appropriate length and the paths/roads as they should be.The shop on site is great. Really good selection of food and drink as well as any camping essentials you may have forgotten.I've stayed at this site a few times and will absolutely be back again. This time we used it to do some evening and night photography. Was lucky enough to capture this sat outside my tent one evening and a some nice shots of Corfe.
