Quiet, well-maintained site, not expensive in wonderful location with wonderful views. Lots of walking, easy walk down to Kimmeridge Bay. Very interesting fossil museum in Kimmeridge Village.Warden very helpful and full of local knowledge going back 40 years!
Great stay until someone on pitch 32 parked unreasonably close to us. They came in very late and caused a disturbance.Did not speak the the warden do cannot comment but our friends know him and have appreciated his assistance.Lovely views from the site and Kimmeridge bay was lovely. Loved the site being so quiet. We will be back, thank you
Enjoyable stay at Smedmore House walking the coast path and surrounding area. Glyn the site manager was cheery and very helpful with information.
We have been coming to this site for a number of years now and just enjoy the peace and quiet. When approaching this site use the site directions and NOT your sat-nav, the approach roads are quite narrow and busy. For the last few years, this site was neglected but the new site warden Glyn has really cleaned it up and made it look fantastic again. This site has great access for walking and cycling. TV is almost impossible so satellite would be good if you need it.Due to this site being surrounded by farms with animals, your dog MUST be on a lead at all times.
All aspects of this site suited us perfectly.
Love location of this site. Thought it much improved since last year as more information for campers at the office and regular visits from warden. It wasn’t possible to use the big field for dog walking as grass too long but presume that because quite early in season
The site has always been good and this time there was a noticeable improvement of everything looking much tidier, bins empty, grass cut, notice board with up to date information on it and a very helpful new site warden since our last visit.Pitch perfect we will be back soon. Many thanks for an enjoyable stay.
Lovely site with great views and spacious pitches. Ideal location for us in our campervan. Glynn is a great warden, very helpful and has lots of local knowledge. He made us feel very welcome.
Spent a very restful week at Smedmore House caravan site, enjoying the birdsong, wandering pheasants and hares and peaceful nature of the site at this time of the year. The warden was very helpful and friendly. Would definitely return in low/mid season.
Well managed site. Friendly site manager. Lack of toilet facilities became a problem when our water pump stopped working but adding these facilities would probably change the nature of the site. Beautiful coastal walks available. Tough cycling terrain.
