We stayed for five days in glorious weather and made the most of the proximity to local walks each morning and the various Dorset beaches during the day. The site had a calm feeling throughout and the bathroom, shower block was maintained impeccably. The site put on evening activities for campers and it was all very relaxed. The site owners were very visible and obviously take a lot of pride in what they've created here. We'll definitely be back next time we camp in Dorset!
This was our second stay at Higher Moor Farm. We stayed in a Deluxe 2+ Lodge in August 2026The lodge was super clean with the bed already made up on our arrival. It was a good size for myself & my husband. Towels were included which was also amazing. Pizza night was great with a live singer who was superb. Unfortunately, on first day of our holiday we arrived for check in at 1:30pm as per our booking email, only to be told that Lodges did not check in until 3:30pm. We were therefore waiting around to get into our lodge in the unbearable heat with refrigerated food in our car. This impacted negatively on our first day on holiday as we were exhausted from our 4 hour journey and just wanted to chill in our accommodation. I would suggest that your emails need amending with up to date arrival times.
We stayed at Highmoor Farm from 2 August for a week. The staff were very friendly, the entertainment was great, and my daughter especially enjoyed the play park. You can see that Daniel and the team are working hard to make the campsite special for families.Unfortunately, there were a few downsides. We appreciate that it is a farm campsite, but the roads were extremely dusty, and some staff drove far too quickly around the site in golf buggies, sending dust everywhere. We arrived on the Sunday when the bins appeared to be getting changed ready for collection. As our caravan was positioned close to the bin store, buggies repeatedly sped past us, creating clouds of dust. With two small children, we were also genuinely concerned about their speed. One morning, along with several other guests, I witnessed what appeared to be an older senior member of staff or the owner shouting extremely aggressively at an employee or contractor near reception. He was standing very close to the man’
After finding this wonderful campsite 4 years ago we have returned 4 times, every visit has been as good as the first. The welcome and the facilities are first class, the on site team work hard to make sure the showers and toilets are always clean and added to that are the superb visiting food vans. An excellent location to enjoy a Dorset summers evening looking out over the countryside with a glass in your hand listening to the bird song.
Great location really helpful staff always friendly and polite. 2nd visit with you guys and love the pod. Campsite is clean and tidy and set out really good
We really enjoyed our stay. We were camping whilst family were staying in a pod. Daniel was really helpful and pitched us in front of the pod so we could be with our family. We’d paid for a large pitch and it didn’t disappoint- it was huge! The site is in a lovely location and only a short drive to large supermarkets and Weymouth beach. The play area was perfect for smaller children. The site was quiet and we didn’t have any issue with noise between the 10pm and 8am “quiet period”. Even during the day it wasn’t loud. The pizza van and bar were a highlight, as was Hamish singing live. It provided a great vibe to the evening. The shower block was one of the best we’ve seen. My only slight criticism is that the temperature of the water was really hot and it was difficult to adjust to a cooler temperature (we stayed during the heatwave). They were clean and in good condition though. Overall, a lovely site, with helpful staff. We’d definitely stay again.
Excellent campsite. Perfect for children. I loved the shop and the freshly baked croissants, baguettes, local cheese it felt like I was in France. The toilet facilities were lovely and modern and clean. The campsite had a nice feel and if we went back to Dorset we would definitely return.
Daniel was excellent in terms of giving us the pitches that we required where we needed them and also helping resolve an issue with power for theee of our groups pitches. He was attentive and detail oriented and didn’t forget about our issue, reminding us when our paths crossed that he was still working on it.All of the staff were excellent and the “day visitor” policy as well as the “where to park and pitch” policy was 100% refreshing to say the very least The food vans were excellent too. Pizza and curry alike - both top class.Washroom facilities were as award winning as expected from the emails I got reminding me of the awards between booking and staying ;-)Freezer and microwave room with laundry appliances too was also a welcome additional service on site. All round excellent and will deffo be back next year.
I stayed with my family but met friends and their families there and we had a great weekend. Was a bit of a mix up when first arrived due to some of friends using my maiden name and not my married name but after putting up our tent for second time we were all together. Great entertainment and food trucks. The one shower block the showers after the first morning were freezing cold. But otherwise the facilities were great. Staff were friendly and definitely would return.
Amazing staff, good clean facilities however pitches were so close together you had no privacy. You could hear everything from tents next door including talking, snoring and babies crying. Reduce the number or spread them better and would have been an amazing place.
