Well maintained site good clean toilets. Handy shop on site.
We enjoyed our couple of nights at Higher Moor Farm; it is a very peaceful site with lovely friendly staff. There is a good play area for children and a games barn which I’m sure would appeal to young teenagers. Toilets and showers were spotless and the shop is well stocked. Unfortunately the only way off the site is by car or van which for us was not ideal but there is a park and ride within five minutes drive and Weymouth has parking spaces for motor homes.
Small clean site with excellent facilities Very little privacy in pitches We prefer to have more separation between pitches
Had an amazing time with friends, but highlight was amazing Pizzas with the entertaining bingo on the Saturday night. Definitely return
This was our 4th visit to Highermoor family qe had a.lovely area and where placed together with our friends as requested. The facilities were excellent although one set of toilets and showers were closed but there was enough on site. Only down side there was an event happening close by in a barm or field and the noise was so loud it keep me awake until gone 3am.
We are new to camping so for this to be our first campsite we booked was a lovely choice and very reasonably priced! The site was very well kept, the shop was well stocked and the facilities were so clean! We booked last minute so I phoned ahead to let the site know and the gentleman I spoke to on the phone was so helpful and kind! However, because some of our fellows campers were quite inconsiderate of others, we had an awful night. There were children screaming and shouting whilst playing at gone 11pm and around 2am there was drum and bass music playing and somewhere near by there were boy racers revving their car engines which I appreciate is not the campsites fault but still contributed to an awful nights sleep. I would love to stay here again but we have been put off by the fact that some people do not stick to the rules and are not considerate of other campers. That aside, I would recommend Higher Moor Farm to others and perhaps we will be back one day.
Campsite was really great, owners accommodated us having a late check in as we traveled down after work. Facilities were modern and clean. Campsite very laid back, not specific gridlocked pitches, a very natural feel!Games room was worth its weight in gold on a rainy evening! Will definitely go back!
Good location for visiting Weymouth and Portland, friendly staff and nice clean facilities. Picnic bench by some pitches was a good addition.
Exceedingly clean and tidy site. Check in was easy, we had a choice of pitch as the site was not busy. Pitched up close to the hedge and only 2 min walk to the shower/washing up block. Facilities are cleaned exceptionally well. Showers spacious and provided with a floor squeegee mop 👍We visited Abbotsbury Swans which was an impromptu visit but well worth it! Very interesting and we’ve never seen so many swans!! Buying the £19.95 ticket gave us access to the Sub Tropical gardens a short drive away. We visited on another day and easily spent a couple hours walking through the lush planting and varying shrubs 🌴🌵A bus trip to Portland Bill on a blustery day, the views across Chesil Beach were vast and worth the £6 pp on the bus. Parking is very reasonable at the lighthouse with cafe and visitor centre. Durdle Door is worth the uphill walk, quite steep and maybe slippery in the wet. A good 35/40 min walk from the visitor car park to Durdle Door.
