Norden Farm, Dorset, England

Norden Farm is located in the heart of the Isle of Purbeck- set back from the main road, but with easy access. It is a rural farm site and may not be suitable for those looking for ready-made entertainment!

There are three adjacent, level grass fields offering electric hook up pitches, with an additional six- acre, non- electric field for tents and camper vans in peak season. There are no hard-standing pitches at present.

Onsite facilities include flush toilets and chemical disposal points, hot showers and private wash basins, a family room, disabled toilets and wet room (ambulant or aided only), separate laundry and washing-up rooms, a well-stocked farm shop, and a pooch parlour (a wet room and warm shower for dogs). For children, there is a play area and ball games court. We have a fridge and freezer for our campers, along with a locker facility for charging phones.

Most facilities are free for campers to use. WIFI is available for a small fee.

In addition to camping, a traditional farm cottage is also available for hire. This sleeps four and is situated on site, with its own private garden. Norden House is also available as a large self- catering holiday home that sleeps up to fourteen people.

Norden Farm is conveniently located for using public transport, making us the perfect base for exploring the Isle of Purbeck! Norden has two bus stops outside our site entrance, and two steam railway stations a short walk away, making access to Swanage or Poole simple and easy.

Norden is also only 3.5 miles from the ancient town of Wareham, where you will find an array of pubs, shops and the River Frome. Wareham also has a train link to Weymouth or London.

This campsite also boasts a footpath (taking roughly 20 minutes) directly from our campsite into the historic village of Corfe Castle, where you will find three pubs, the bakery and the castle ruins!

From the site, you can take a short drive to beaches such as Studland, Sandbanks and Lulworth Cove! Families will love exploring local attractions such as Dorset Water Park, The Tank Museum and Monkey World!

Well organised campsite with fantastic views

Norden campsite has spacious pitches in a beautiful campsite setting and our pitch was very quiet. The toilet facilities are kept very clean and the shower was excellent. The farm shop is also well stocked. There are several walks from the campsite and a bus stop nearby. Perhaps the thing I liked the best was watching the wildlife. One night washing dishes in the block, I saw a several deer race through the nearby fields. We spent two days at the RSPB nature reserve at Arne and a relaxing day walking long Studland bay and Harry's Rocks. Both of these places are near to the site.

Perfect location for exploring Corffe Castle.

We had a great couple of days here, its the perfect location for exploring Corfee Castle and the surrounding area. The site facilities are to a very high standard with the showers very hot, powerful and no push buttons!. The only criticism is checkin, we arrived 30 minutes early and was told to wait until 13:00. I understand why this is but the site was practically empty, maybe show a little more flexibility? Saying that the site feels a little regimented. Please note, not very good phone signal on site and the wifi is the normal hit and miss affair.

We are delighted that you had a great stay and hopefully, it wasn't spoilt by your wait at reception to check-in. Unfortunately, as we don't have a holding area, we have to advise all customers not to arrive before 1pm to reduce disruption at the campsite entrance and farm shop. This time is also set so that the whole site can be maintained during the 2 hours between departures with minimal disruption to our campsite customers. We appreciate your assistance in helping us to maintain a wonderful site for everyone to enjoy and we hope to see you again in the future.

Great campsite

Fantastic campsite, lovely setting with the forest walk on one side and a lovely view of the field of sheep. Great facilities, shower, toilets, farm shop. As we were bikepacking on our electric bikes, we also appreciated the charging lockers, allowing us to recharge before we set off the next morning.

Great site and great value for money. Very clean and well maintained and a great shop stocked with everything you could need, even reduced Easter Eggs on EasterSunday! Loved the peacocks - especially the early morning wake up calls 😀😀 Stayed in our campervan over the Easter weekend. Lovely walk to Corfe Castle which has several pubs to visit - shout out to The Greyhound - and you can catch the steam train into Swanage. Would definitely stay again.

Impressive Country location

First impressions were great, friendly staff,well stocked shop and garden centre! There was direct access to footpaths and bus stops right outside. Wild deer, lambs, goats and roaming peacocks made it for us. Excellent facilities for showering etc and a morning kiosk selling coffees and breakfast rolls which was very popular while we were there. Will definitely be back.

A fabulous well run campsite, even better that it’s on a working farm. Great washing facilities for children (even a small bath!), elderly and disabled. It was our second visit over Easter and we will definitely be returning! Great shop, great play parks, great dog field, great walking distance into corfe castle. Just all round lovely and highly recommend! I cannot think of anything negative!
