Norden Farm is located in the heart of the Isle of Purbeck- set back from the main road, but with easy access. It is a rural farm site and may not be suitable for those looking for ready-made entertainment!
There are three adjacent, level grass fields offering electric hook up pitches, with an additional six- acre, non- electric field for tents and camper vans in peak season. There are no hard-standing pitches at present.
Onsite facilities include flush toilets and chemical disposal points, hot showers and private wash basins, a family room, disabled toilets and wet room (ambulant or aided only), separate laundry and washing-up rooms, a well-stocked farm shop, and a pooch parlour (a wet room and warm shower for dogs). For children, there is a play area and ball games court. We have a fridge and freezer for our campers, along with a locker facility for charging phones.
Most facilities are free for campers to use. WIFI is available for a small fee.
In addition to camping, a traditional farm cottage is also available for hire. This sleeps four and is situated on site, with its own private garden. Norden House is also available as a large self- catering holiday home that sleeps up to fourteen people.
Norden Farm is conveniently located for using public transport, making us the perfect base for exploring the Isle of Purbeck! Norden has two bus stops outside our site entrance, and two steam railway stations a short walk away, making access to Swanage or Poole simple and easy.
Norden is also only 3.5 miles from the ancient town of Wareham, where you will find an array of pubs, shops and the River Frome. Wareham also has a train link to Weymouth or London.
This campsite also boasts a footpath (taking roughly 20 minutes) directly from our campsite into the historic village of Corfe Castle, where you will find three pubs, the bakery and the castle ruins!
From the site, you can take a short drive to beaches such as Studland, Sandbanks and Lulworth Cove! Families will love exploring local attractions such as Dorset Water Park, The Tank Museum and Monkey World!

We have stayed at Norden Farm several times - the facilities are excellent and with the farm shop make it ideal for us with a motorhome, saves carrying groceries etc from outside shops. Using the public transport makes it so easy for us to get around. It is made clear on the website that this is a grass site, unfortunately on during our stay the weather was very wet. We wonder whether cord mats where grass grows through could be fitted. This would save the mud and keep the pitches in better condition.
Very impressed with the friendliness of all the site and farm staff we encountered. The site and facilities were kept clean and tidy, despite being a very wet period of time we had on site. (4 days in total). We had Peacocks, chickens and many wild birds around the pitch, which was lovely to see. My only comment would be that some hard stand areas would benefit the site enormously especially during the wet periods, of which we do seem to have had this 'summer'. The location we found to be very good for visiting Corfe castle, Swanage, Durdle Door as well as Dorchester not being far away. All told an excellent site in dry weather and good until it really pours.
We've stayed at norden farm in our campervan a few times now and have always enjoyed our stay. Facilities are clean and the general feel of the place is good.
Stayed in October half term, so always a bit risky with the weather. No hardstanding pitches meant things were a bit muddy but the staff told us where to pitch so as to manage our collective risks of getting stuck. Site not busy.Shower and toilet block lovely, only suggestion is to consider adding underfloor heating for the cooler spring and autumn days if rebuilding the block. But the shower was hot and had adjustable head (most sites have a fixed head) which was great. The addition of a family bathroom (with a bath) made it great for families with small kids.Easy walks to Norden (no footpath!) And Corded Castle.Dark skies and little lighting on the pitches.Campfires are permitted :-)
Very friendly site, lots of open space. Lovely little fishing pond, and a very well stocked shop with everything you need plus more. We will definitely return in the summer, pitches do get a bit soft in the Autumn. The only thing I could fault was no hard pitches for the end of season, whether hard standings or gravel/granite chippings.
5th stay at the site. Always very good. Showers excellent and needed after a long day. Shop well stocked and butter requested by my father was there...which made his day. Only 4 stars as one grumpy long term camper complaining about kids running around wanting them to go to a field long way away to play. When intermittent Showers causing them to shelter inbthevtent every few mins. Not the fault of the camp site but seemed to be the campers near us at this time of year where not families so expected a quiter stay then was possible with kids -in half term, in rain showers.
The new facilities block lived up to expectations. Lovely hot showers, individual wash rooms, always clean and tidy.
Dear Sir/Madam decided to do our last trip of the year, On arrival we were directed to our pitch we drove to the position and tried to reverse onto the grass but I decided not reverse up fully because of the condition of the site and didn't want to get stuck in ,I walked back to reception to see if I could move to a dryer more drained part of the site as I could see vacant positions only to be told that It was half term and the sites were allocated the sites on both sides of us M3 and M5 could not be used because of there condition. We decided to return home the next day we have no control over the weather but I feel you did have control over deciding if the pitch we were given was suitable for us to stay on a phone call to cancel or let us know the state of our pitch would have been better and let us decide whether to come. We have stayed on Norden farm it is a great sight with good facilities but this experience has let it down a bit .Yours sincerely Peter Tuckey
Donkey field would always try to go the other side to the cow sheds
We enjoyed the farm atmosphere and the animals were great. The farm shop was good well stocked. There was plenty to do in the area. Enjoyed the steam traim into Swansge and Corfe Castle
