The site was beautiful staff were very friendly and helpful.The cabin was not very clean on arrival, bin lid was dirty, side board was dirty needed a wipe. Sofa bed had marks had to put a cover over it to sit on.Area was so beautiful, good for a quite time away,

PROSA beautiful location surrounded by fabulous scenery and walks. The pitches are spacious and have fences between for privacy. Good amount of electric hook ups and standpipes. The toilet/shower/washing up facilities are basic but clean. Picnic benches are provided on some pitches. We camped for 4 nights and were happy overall with the facilities.We personally did not use the café but it is very busy and we heard good things about it.Lots of great places to visit locally.CONSWe booked knowing there was a farm shop on-site but had to drive to the nearest town with a shop (Stokesley) to stock up on basics as the on-site shop does not sell milk/eggs/bread, etc which was a surprise – though there was plenty of steak and spendy chutney to be had.£10 deposit for the key to toilets/showers but most times we went someone had left the door unlatched so it was very much serving as a public toilet.The site has the Cleveland Way cutting through it so we expected lots of walkers on t

We had to wait to check in because we were told the pod hadn’t been cleaned yet (2:30pm). However all the pods were empty so we were confused as to why we couldn’t make use of the facilities yet. On arrival, we were very disappointed with the cleanliness of our pod. It smelt like wet dog, the floor was filthy (we had to bin our socks), the toilet smelt of urine, the fridge was dirty and the microwave was even worse. We made the best of our stay and would consider returning if the cleanliness dramatically improved and prices were reduced. 3 out of 5 pods were empty and this was during the school holidays too.

Arrived at 3pm to check in as requested. Had to wait 50mins as pod wasn't ready. Pod was clean and tidy but outside light wasn't working unfortunately which meant we couldnt sit out on the porch in the evening as the surrounding area is pitch black.We had been told cafe shut at 4pm, but first day it closed at 3pm, second day it closed at 2pm so we didn't get to have a meal there after our mornings out walking. Bed was VERY uncomfortable so requested additional bedding to use the pull out sofa instead. Unfortunately it was no better. Overall it was an OK stay for a last minute break.

The showers need some attention , water pressure very hit and miss in fact the same in toilets . Cafe and restaurant very good . Staff all very courteous and friendly

Pods were very clean. Lacking in a few bits of basic kitchen equipment such as a jug, sharp knives, scissors- luckily I’d thought ahead and brought some just in case !! A small carton of milk to go with the welcome tea bags would maybe be a nice touch 🤷🏼‍♀️Staff are amazing and very friendly and the positioning of the pods is great so you are not right next door to your neighbours.No phone signal in the pod area so you have to walk over to the cafe area which was not great but didn’t spoil a lovely few days away 👍🏼

Great location and setting, the BBQ was great. The bar shut really early on the Saturday night and the shower pressure was dreadful, but apart from that we loved out stay! I think dogs should be allowed in the building to make it an allYear round possibility!

The campsite is reasonably small and quiet which we like. It would be our first choice when visiting the area. Location is great - well out of the way but within easy driving distance for decent pubs shops takeaways etc in Stokesley and has an excellent Restaurant on site. Unfortunately not open mid week evenings which was disappointing. We have eaten there before and loved it. We tend to get out and about visiting Helmsley, (The walled Garden is fantastic but not open Monday and Tuesday!) Whitby, fabulous as always, and just driving around various areas like Osmotherley and the North York Moors exploring. Walking on the Cleveland way is on the doorstep literally although if you want to do a walk and then get a bus back - forget it! The old Moors bus service has long gone, which is a shame.. Love driving up to the top of Carlton bank to get to the campsite. Toilets/showers clean, but iron in water has stained toilets. Water in showers is too hot for child is my only concern.

Expensive, to be fair all things considered; if it was a little cheaper would come more often during the year; but it is a comfortable and clean site with beautiful surroundings. The staff were very friendly with good customer service and we enjoyed our 2 days very much.
